Room was clean and comfortably furnished. Bed was perhaps a little soft but Islept well, no doubt the black out curtains and lack of any noise disturbance helped. The complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits were good. Staff I interacted with were all polite and efficient in their dealings with me. Plenty of free car parking and just a short walk to the town centre makes this a great choice.

I could mention the lack of any bedside electrical socketes or USB sockets but it was actually nice not to wake up to the sight of my phone. Just make sure you have a suitable charger with you. The bathroom had an over bath shower, not great as it was a little cramped and awkward in use but there was plenty of hot water and it got the job done, just allow yourself a bit more time.

The staff were all fantastic. The breakfasts were mediocre, so we were disappointed. The beds and bedroom were comfortable. However, as a disabled guest, the bathroom was very small and cramped in our accessible room. We loved the view of the pathway alongside the canal. The location was excellent for reaching other places in the vicinity. Plenty of shops for anything you may have forgotten. On the whole, we were happy with our stay, but would have preferred a better breakfast and more space in the bathroom. Impressed with the parking spaces available, especially those for disabled.

Having stayed before, we knew what to expect. The hotel is well placed for a short walk to the centre of town and the Grand Western Canal, and is easy to find from the North Devon Link Road, with lots of parking. The room was comfortable and spacious, the beds were OK, and the staff were friendly. The price for a weekend stay was good value.

The hotel is showing its age. Single-glazed aluminium-framed windows, with a draught coming in round the outside of the frame, were fine in summer, but will be iffy in winter. The bathroom needed a refurb, although everything worked. The decor generally is a bit drab, although the early-20th-century art prints in the corridors are a bright spot.

The room we had been allocated was in.the older wing of the hotel . Room was def not warm and hot water was tepid. As we were there for 2 nights , and when asked the staff changed our room for a newer , better one on the ground floor Added an extra heater and water was hot . The staff couldn't have done more to accommodate us. They were excellent! The cooked breakfast was good for choice, inc additional cereals, fruit and yoghurts. Great value when pre booked.

No lifts for first floor rooms , just a set of stairs.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tiverton Hotel & Venue! The location was fab, 10 mins off m5 and a 10 min walk into town with a Tescos on the way! I was a little apprehensive because it looks so dated, and yes it is, but it was so clean. We took our little Boston terrier (paid £20 dog charge, and it was spotless, completely understand this cost!), and had a little welcome pack in our room which was a really lovely touch. The bed was so comfy and the shower deceiving… it was incredible. We really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and the staff were really helpful and lovely. We will definitely come back on our next long drive down to Cornwall!

There is a charm about it, but it does need interior upgrade! (Albeit it was very clean)

Huge room on ground floor, loads of space. Plenty of tea & coffee sticks and a packet of biscuits which were welcome after a long day of the motorbike. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, nice West Country down to earth welcome to brekkie. Loads of parking and generally had a safe and secure feeling about the place. Dinner in the evening (I had Lamb rogan josh) was pretty decent as well. Generally exceeded my expectations given the price I paid and the age of the property. Good location for stopover, Tesco fuel station round the corner.

Generally clean but dated and smelled a little of stale smoke. The shower was pretty feeble but got me wet. Radiator, although not on, did make a noise all night, I'm not a complainer so didn't mention it but perhaps I should have to give them a chance to try and stop it.

Replacing the previous review as since we were last here it's no longer a Best Western hotel but a Crest hotel. The hotel is still as dated and rundown as it was before but the wallpaper has now been painted, I presume in an attempt to freshen it up a little. Unfortunately it just gives the appearance of a hotel that's bereft of funds. The rooms are still spacious. Shower is good with plenty of hot water. Mattress was poor, linen ok. Room had an iron and ironing board which was very handy. Tea and coffee facilities. Still no Aircon. The room was exceptionally tired and dated. Bathroom needed stripping out. Breakfast was full English and continental which was good apart from the orange "juice" which was vile. HOWEVER, the cost for two staying overnight with breakfast included and free parking was £80, and for that you really can't complain. I'd rather stay here than the local Premier Inn. The catch 22 is if they spent millions refurbishing the entire hotel (which it needs) and put the price up to £150 per night, charged for breakfast and parking in order to recover the costs, I'd go elsewhere.

Poor mattress

I had already seen the rooms internally online. The room was very clean, bed sheets clean and freshly laundered, the bed and pillow were very comfy. All the staff were very pleasant, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was ideal. Great value for money and ultimately a hotel which focuses on the important things and gets them right. Id not have any issue returning.

No functioning on-site EV charger available, but there was a number of available chargers I was able to use at the nearby supermarket as kindly directed by hotel staff. Was only a short walk away.

Bedroom was quite large with bed comfortable. There are good options for dining in. Lovely food. On the whole, the room was very comfortable. Staff were helpful with looking after our luggage before the check-in time, whilst we had a canal trip during the afternoon.

Was kept out of the main eating area due to large groups attending, but staff were courteous in setting up areas to dine elsewhere in the lounge. Windows were rotten in our room. Only lighting control from one side of bed. The bottle of house wine was very expensive.

I was very pleased I used Tiverton Hotel while visiting family. The room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. The mattress good quality and I slept well. The parking arrangements were ideal and suited me as I have poor mobility. There is a disabled friendly room. I liked the handy bar and restaurant and always had an enjoyable meal. Breakfast was plentiful and always enjoyable. Thank you to all the friendly staff for making my stay a pleasant experience.

There was nothing that I found off putting or problematic.
