After checking out on July 3, 2025, I check my mobile banking account and discovered that I was charged $154.80 twice for a one night stay at the Springhill Suites in Gardendale, AL. When I checked in there was a new attendant at the front desk. She ran my card and then please give me your card again something happened, I am so sorry. I have since then called the hotel twice to speak about the double charges, all that I get is that "Our system only shows one charge of $154.80". My bank account shows that there were 2 different charges placed against my debit card for a one night stay. No help with getting a refund

Rooms were nice and clean. Seems to be a newly built hotel. Staff was ok.

We stayed 2 nights, originally was gonna stay one, but we came back. First night was great, we got in late after concert at around 1 am, I asked how late could we check out, and the gentleman said 1. So we went ahead and went up and went to sleep, I got up in the morning to make sure we could check out at 1, the lady said no, check out is at 11. So communication wasn't great. Rooms lay out was odd to me. Tv is in a weird spot.

The hotel is relatively new so everything was very clean and fresh! The room was well appointed and set up comfortably. The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and the rooms were quiet, even with the amount of children in the hotel.

The door to the bathroom us frosted glass, so the bright lights showed through if you have to go at night. The mini fridge was hidden in a cabinet so took a sec to find, but that's not much of a problem, really.

Size of room was good. General cleanliness of property. No pets and no noises from neighbors.

Floors were creaking when walking. No indoor pool. Bathroom door and lights were strange and not conducive for a family sleeping in front of them. Odd TV placement in room.

Loved the spaciousness, cleanliness, and size of the room.

front desk was not very polite or professional. Did not know how to fix issues on the computer system and relied on other people. Was asked to sit and wait until someone else fixes their issue. No apologies.

The breakfast was hot and delicious

At breakfast the only problem was they ran out of things and were very slow to refill. Waited for coffee for 10 minutes both apple and orange juice was out as well. Only brought small amounts of eggs and sausage at a time so people were already waiting when fresh came out.

Room was spacious. Had everything I needed with small fridge and microwave. I liked minimization of waste and recycling.

Noise. Could not sleep. Could hear doors slamming, running overhead, and what sounded like cats screeching. I think some kids were playing.

Appears to be a newer hotel. Clean. Good breakfast!

Only thing I did not like in my suite was the Tv was not centered on the wall near bed. In bed had to turn head to left to watch it. Then on the sofa you still were not comfortable watching the TV. It was just where it was mounted but it also was the only place because the sliding door took up so much room to the bathroom

Clean and new , someone knew what a recently opened hotel looks like. Beds and pillows were comfortable especially after staying at several “cheap “ hotels. Attentive breakfast staff, clean area and no one wore their pajamas to breakfast 😔

Pricey and small moisture issues in bathroom.

The breakfast was like a gourmet spread compared to other hotels. We had a king Suite and it exceeded our expectations. I will gladly stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

We liked everything. I mean what's not to like about our experience. 😄
