This is such a great place to stay! The history is fascinating! It was built for a motor lodge back in the 30's and the rooms have been updated and are very nice! The rooms that were the car parking areas have been changed into rooms. The area where the cars use to travel is now a great courtyard to sit and chill and maybe meet some new friends! Just fun old architecture! Great coffee bar with lots of Keurig choices, so you could bring your own favorite pods. Have stayed here several times and will continue to stay there. It is right on main street and convenient to everything!

I like every thing!!!

The room (#107) was on the bottom floor. Easy to access. Free parking in the back with easy access to the rooms. We had two queens and felt the beds and the pillows were super comfortable. Right outside the door was a nice patio area but It still looked like winter outside. We were there in March. A few fresh flowers planted in the pots will spruce it up. The building near the office had coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Believe it was Starbuck pods! The hotel is right on the main street. We walked everywhere. Cottonwood is a great town to visit and this is a great hotel to stay at. The price was very reasonable.

The location is right in the middle of all the food and fun!! The staff is super nice and courteous. Rooms a soooo clean! We stayed for the wknd and ended up getting one extra night last minute. We had two separate rooms and both were very clean. No complaints! We had wine in the little courtyard in the evenings. They even close the access to the outside access at night which gave us comfort and safety.

The coffee room could have had more options but really, I’m not even complaining one bit!

The staff were very nice,the room was compact and had lovely shower and great choice of cable tv channels. Center of Cottonwood close to shops and cafes. Water in room daily and nice self service coffee/tea etc facilty on ground floor free for residents.Also fridge and microwave in room. Comfortable smoking area outside is ideal for smokers.

The key to the door was a little tricky! We would have loved a little kettle!

It was right in the middle of where we needed to be…food, class, Sedona, and Jerome. It had everything we needed. The staff was very nice and very helpful.

I should have called to check if they had elevators. I broke my ankle about two years ago. So I had a little extra effort climbing and descending the stairs. That was harder with luggage.

Everything about the Property I Loved!!!! Location, Location, Location! Very clean, comfortable bed (I slept like a baby), I loved the Bolt way above the door knob, the little patio in the middle, beverages, ice, etc. - Everything was soooo quaint! I loved the fact that everything is within walking distance (right in the heart of downtown) - so convenient with the many restaurants & shops. And if need be, there's that hiking trail "Jail Trail" I believe across the street. I just felt so comfortable & safe there!!! I LOVE this place!!! I will be back but I know I will have to book way ahead of my travel date. AND the price was right!!!! I was surprised! I have booked at a mom & pop motel there in Cottonwood before but Iron Horse was at a better price during the Holidays & convenient for so many wine tastings..

The only thing was such a tiny sink but I didn't mind as the many 'goods things' outweigh the tiny sink.

Very clean! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to get a 1st floor location for my husband's mobility issues. If they weren't able to get a 1st floor room, they were going to carry our luggage upstairs for us. The location is perfect, everything in walking distance. They offered great restaurant recommendations. I was impressed with the room, very comfortable bed and the housekeeping staff does an exceptional job. The courtyard is peaceful and a perfect place to sip your morning coffee. They have a coffee room that has a Starbuck's machine, Ice machine, Tea, etc. It's perfect and awesome for a coffee drinker like me. I must have my morning coffee and afternoon coffee and evening coffee, lol! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area Cottonwood, Clarksdale for the train, or Sedona. Great location for Jerome and Prescott or Prescott Valley.

I was in the hospitality industry for 30 years and I see things that most people out of the industry would not. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Cleanliness, property upkeep, friendliness/welcoming, location, nicely appointed room, comfortable bed and seating, beautiful courtyard, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

Room was clean, and were quiet. Location in old town Cottonwood, was perfect for walking to all the stores and restaurants. Room was small, but it had all that someone would need. Good value for the price, good for a solo traveller or a couple.

The stairs to the rooms, were steep, so be prepared if you are travelling with bulky luggage. Wasn’t, clear at first where to park (it is the lot behind the building).

we had a very nice room with extra chair to make it more comfortabele to sit inside, beautiful shower. It was lovely, clean, nice terracet outside, good coffee....and friendly staff. Nice plus, one step outside the hotel and you are right on main street with good cafés for breakfast and lunch, good restaurants and wine shops.

I’ve stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are cozy, comfortable & clean and the location is fantastic. It’s nice to just walk out and be right on Main St with all of the restaurants, shopping and wine tasting rooms.

I wish the courtyard was non smoking. It’s nice to sit out there but not if one or several people are smoking. It stinks!
