​I was swept away by the flawless Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliff Resort from the moment I arrived at the hotel. The design and ambiance in the room are nothing short of breathtaking. Every corner of the property exudes elegance, with modern touches seamlessly blending with timeless charm. The lobby alone felt like stepping into a sanctuary of refined taste, setting the tone for the exceptional stay ahead. My room was an absolute masterpiece, fancy, clean, and adorned with luxurious amenities. It offered breathtaking views of the golf course. The attention to detail was impressive and everything from the plush bedding to the complimentary treats was carefully organized to ensure maximum comfort.

Check in was a breeze, everything was explained from parking, to the pools and amenities provided. The events that were happening that weekend had my kids so excited except that the Phoenix Zoo animals canceled the next day. We were up the hill by the beautiful mountains so the view was great. We were able to get a van ride to the pool and back to our room. The room was big enough to accommodate the 5 of us and not feel cramped. The pool was free of debris and clear, plenty of pool chairs and towels. Great outdoor setting with a bar and attentive servers.

Would be nice if there was a continental breakfast if you didn't want to pay $25 a person for breakfast each day.

The resort feels like the kind of place you could stay for a week, and I'm not the kind of person who wants to stay at a resort for a week. We went in September and there was hardly anyone there (a plus in my book), so we had one of the pools practically to ourselves. You can call to get a ride in a golf cart anywhere you need to go on the property, and someone arrives almost immediately upon request. The room service is good, and they don't price gauge you. The breakfast buffet is also good! Also not over the top expensive. Everyone we encountered, minus one woman, was so incredibly warm and kind. I did not expect to love this place so much. Just stayed for one night as a stopover on our way north. Will definitely be back. Oh, and bed and pillows were super comfy, too.

The lights were too bright in the bedroom and couldn't be dimmed as far as I could tell. Just a little love on the ambience would make it even better.

Location and everything was great, the food the restaurants, were great everyone was friendly and the staff was attentive but.

We had two televisions the one in the bed room didn't work told the front desk about, told the mantinace person about it, no one ever changed it out like they told us they would so we was stuck watching the one in the front for news and weather couldn't fix my wife breakfast in bed with her morning news or weather and there was a little leak from the A/C vent..The room could have been better

Liked the location in the hills and away from the central part of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The whole resort area looked nice but we only stayed for 1.5 days so weren't able to take advantage of the pools, golf, etc.

Nothing really negative to say. The coffee maker in the room wasn't working right, but that was just a minor issue. There was quite a bit of noise at times from the pool areas and people walking by the room.

The resort had 7 pools to choose from, including a kids' pool. Due to the distance and layout of the resort, they offered shuttle rides from your room to the different pools.

When you called for a shuttle ride to a pool, staff would tell you they were sending someone right away, but that wasn't really the case. Sometimes, you were having to wait up to 10 mins for the ride. We found ants in our room the first morning. Had to call the front office three times to finally get someone to come spray poison. Then they sprayed poison and left.

It is a remarkable property with units built into the hills, many of which with great views. They have a number of pools and other facilities to enjoy. Several good eating facilities as well.

There was confusion when we checked in where we were charged the wrong amount and it took a while to resolve it. And many of the facilities seem a bit dated and could us some sprucing up.

Great for families with kids - especially all the pools. Cool location for resort (old rock quarry w mountain views and hiking trail acess). Liked the overall look/ feel of buildings and 'village' set up. Good enforcement of quiet hours. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Comfie beds. Lots of steps/ good exercise...but also accommodations seemed available.

Only saw one non-Tesla EV charging station next to a bank of Tesla-only stations. The bathroom exhaust fan was too loud.

I usually read the reviews, show up, and regret that I booked. Read the reviews that say, it’s older…but super clean. Staff, super nice. There are pools ALL around the facility so you don’t have to go to the main pool. They have shuttles throughout to get you up and down the passes. Yes, loads of walking…we took it as hikes. They also have hiking trails from the property. You really don’t need to leave and you can eat on-site, en-suite, and they also give you a listing of great places to order from (ask at front desk). It was ALL about the view and small patio area. It was very comfortable and clean. Think Grand Canyon hotels (not the most luxurious, 70’s vibe, but super clean). They constantly work on the property. We saw lots of workers around constantly fixing things. Pool had water slide for the kids, which is always a plus. They text you to check with you. So if you need anything, they are simply a text message away.

I can’t really think of anything that annoyed me and I’m the type that will leave a property if it’s not up to standard. Go in knowing that it’s more family oriented, not luxury oriented and they do a great job of that.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Everyone was kind and genuinely wanted to make the best experience possible for guests. Special shout out to Stacy (bartender), Paul (waitstaff), and Allen (transportation) for going above and beyond as I was a solo traveler. They each remembered (and used) my name, my preferences, and made me feel legitimately looked after.

The property is older, and some portions of it reflect this. The pool outside of building 16 had a lot of loose gravel which was unpleasant to walk over, and the lack of cool decking made it even more uncomfortable. There was plaster missing from some portions of the top of buildings which didn't seem to be a hazard, just unsightly. Also, at the same pool described above, I accidentally found an abandoned birds nest complete with a dead baby bird and unhatched egg - likely abandoned due to a guest touching it. But with more regular cleaning and maintenance of the area, I probably wouldn't have stumbled across this. The adult pool is kind of basic, and the bar/cantina doesn’t open up until about 2 hrs after the pool does, so the attention to detail for non-families is kind of lacking.
