The staff was outstanding in every area. Room service accommodated my special diet needs. My room was beautiful.. There were a few issues with the heater not working as well as I had hoped. It was repaired quickly. I didn’t use many of the other facilities, but the views of the mountains in golf course courses were magnificent. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will return

The menu was limited for my dietary needs. I had to carry my bags to my room because the front desk was too busy. The location was a little out of the way of where I needed to be.

We were completely floored by the size of the room and its amenities! It had everything (except a scrubber for my dishes :) ). The beds were so comfortable! The large walk-in shower (with glass door) was very romantic. The resort location was perfect for nearby local restaurants (but the in-house restaurant menu still looked great). The sofa and TV in the living room area were very comfortable (the TV wasn't very loud even at 50% volume, so we put the subtitles on, and we wanted to keep the noise level low for the respect of any neighbors). The view and privacy from the patio at night and during the day were fabulous (my gf is a smoker). Our room was conveniently located near the front desk, so we were able to obtain everything else we needed from Jose: ice, straw, ... The AC worked very well during the 110-degree daytime, and complemented the excellent wool blanket when we slept at night. The summer price was spectacular! We saw beautiful flying bats and owls during our walks at night! The lush greenery of the nearby grass was a great sight to see and walk around. The workers were very courteous and friendly.

It was okay, but there was only one sink, so we had to share the counter space for our toiletries. There was a little bit of construction going on that blocked some of our walks around the property.

The lap pool and tennis courts are great. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room is comfortable. The housekeeping staff is always ready to help and bring supplies to us upon request. It is near hiking trailheads.

Our room overlooked the front of the building and was extremely noisy, especially in the mornings. There was a cleaning crew of some type making a loud disturbance in the middle of the night one day. The drapes in the room did not block out the bright lights in the driveway keeping our room disturbingly bright all night. The steam room in the woman’s locker room never got very hot.

Rooms are very spacious and have a living room, dining area and kitchenette. Bed is really comfortable and bathroom is stocked with every amenity you could desire.

When you visit Tucson in July, you hear AC units running very hard (it was 110 outside). This room had two separate AC units. One, that looked like a mini-split, was whisper quiet. The second, looked like a building-wide system, was very noisy when it was running. That said, the systems maintained the room at a frosty 72 degrees for the duration of my visit.

The property is lovely but could use a fine tuning. It’s not quite up to a five star accommodation. We were very disappointed in the restaurant. The service was great, but it took us 20 minutes to get a drink and another 20 minutes before our appetizers arrived. There were only a few tables occupied at the time. The Lodge had several events and was 100% booked. As a result, our room was not what we paid for. The staff, Samantha and Shania were very helpful in moving us to another room when it became available three days after our original date.

We used booking.com and booked this room at the last minute for what we consider a steal! Walking into the room just blew us away. We had a beautiful view off the private balcony. We ordered room service (TWICE) and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were definitely out of our element, but every staff member we encountered treated us amazingly. The maids even let me check out a room they were cleaning with a spiral staircase! So cool! If we are ever back in this area we will definitely be staying here again! What a great place!

I believe constructive criticism is healthy so here it is, screen for Karen's. We ran into two during our stay; they mostly made us laugh, but wow! ;-)

Beautiful setting at the foot of the Santa Catalina Mountains, away from the crowded center of Tucson. We're not golfers, but the greens were lovely and well maintained. Dining for non-member guests is in the Bar & Grill - with superb meals, great outdoor seating with fire pits, and mountain views. Our suite was huge and very comfortable with sliding patio doors opening to the golf course & mountains. Kitchenette offered everything we needed - keurig coffee machine, glassware, refrigerator with small freezer, & a dishwasher. Close to Sabino Canyon and a few miles from local artist Diana Madaras's gallery. Parking was very convenient in the shade of big mesquite trees.

A few small items were the only negatives among so many positives... The freezer compartment in our refrigerator was solid with built-up ice, one night stand had some sticky "rings" from a glass, and there was a cigarette butt on our little patio. A little more attention to details would make for perfection! Also, the billing process is unusual. We were billed twice for dinner. We were advised that this is due to their billing through a hospitality service, and one charge should drop off after 3 days. So it's worth checking your credit card statement.

We really enjoyed our stay. Spacious accommodation. Beautiful setting. Great facilities for active holiday. Shuttle to the canyons for hiking was extremely useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Full kitchen was useful especially for a 4 night stay. Nice spa facilities

Kitchen had nice pans but very limited other equipment. Had to ask for everything we needed but housekeeping came swiftly to supply e.g. crockery, cutlery,. No oven or grill tray for example. Everything else was fine. Pricy but the facilities are good.

The recreation facilities at this property are very nice. We used the fitness center and locker rooms, which are well appointed as expected for a golf club. Locker rooms include a sauna and whirlpool. There is also a lap pool and a separate recreation pool and whirlpool, all of which were clean and a nice temperature with plenty of seating during the off-season. We enjoyed playing pickleball ($10 fee for equipment) and the grounds are beautiful! The restaurant staff is exceptional and the food and drinks were delicious. The rooms at the lodge are all suites, with a separate bedroom area, updated bathroom, full kitchen, and good sized living/dining area with a desk (if you absolutely HAVE to work...). We didn't get the chance to golf, but the course is beautiful. This property is very close to the Santa Catalina mountains and there is wildlife, so you may get to see some desert animals (and their scat!) here and there. I would definitely return here for another "staycation."

We were unable to stay in the room that we were originally check in to, there was a very strong sulfur or chemical odor in the room. We were moved to a smaller suite that unfortunately didn't have a soaker tub :( so be sure to ask about a tub if you really want one.

The King sized bed was so incredibly comfortable! The room was private and parking was convenient. We also loved the products provided in the bathroom and the fact that the hotel offered a shuttle service. The staff was friendly, the room was spotlessly clean, and we thought it was nice to have both a bedroom and a sitting room in our suite.

We both thought that the shower could have had stronger pressure. We also felt like even though we had booked a mountain view room, we didn't get to see much of the mountain from our room due to the shape of the building, the golf course, and trees blocking the view. We had a patio out of the sliding glass door, and due to the location of our room, it was almost always being used by other patrons. It made us feel like we didn't have any choice but to leave our curtains closed if we wanted any privacy, which also defeated the purpose of booking a mountain view room.
