November 2024
This was our honeymoon trip, honestly it was beautiful. Staff seem friendly, we did get our key right away, We got a dome away from the others. The view was towards the mountains(privacy) I loved how we were able to sleep with the curtains open. you are able to see the stars!! Soooo cool! clean bathroom, clean walk way, fresh towels, Great for families, friends, lovers, even a get a way from the city! So much fun activities, we did go in the beginning of November so it was super chilly. Well worth it! We do plan on coming again next year for sure!
We were told to go to our dome to settle in and wait for a staff to come by to show us around our dome, no one came. I mean there were instructions, but we waited lol. We figured it out. Also I don’t know if it’s only on booking.com , but make sure you have an extra 200$ because they will ask for it upon arrival for your stay. Obviously incase something breaks what not. The food was very pricey, it wasn’t bad or good. The staff were friendly and fast. The heater in the room works, but it take some time for the heat to kick in.

Amazing sky dome. Live music. Fantastic food truck. Friendly staff. Proximity to the Canyon. Quality of the dome. Good communication via text of activities by staff. Way more interesting/adventurous vs staying in your standard box hotel room that you have stayed in 100s of times before.
The roof of our sky dome No. 37 was broken. This ment we could not open the dome to see the night sky/stars. Despite bringing this to the attention of staff on a number of occasions, they were unable to fix it. More disappointing is they did not get back to us to say it couldn’t be fixed.

I like the concept of the dark sky domes. The domes have a movable cover for their ample skylight. If waxing crescent or first quarter the concept works. However later phases and full moon offer no view that you can’t see elsewhere. The owners are trying. The staff are courteous and helpful. The live music from musician Aron White was excellent and Larry was very good. We really enjoyed the morning yoga from a wonderful woman. The kids enjoyed the bounce pad. Being in a dome is a fun experience. The staff help you bring your belongings to and from your room.
It is very pricey for a short nights stay. I had only black tea for my keurig my first stay (which I hate) but my second stay I requested and received coffee pods. We ate once at the food truck. I hesitate to say but it wasn’t spectacular. I hate to criticize this place because I know they want to make it and again, I like the idea.

Unique stay close to Grand Canyon
Unfortunately stargazing tour had a problem and did not go ahead after waiting for 45mins.. Domes were clean enough, but old socks/ underwear and food found under bed.

Food trucks, live music, things to do for kids and location
Domes are starting to show age and the bathroom in our dome was not very clean.

The accommodations were better than I expected, except that the heat was not working great in the main living area. The bathroom facilities were perfect! We loved the food from the food truck! The staff could not be nicer. We enjoyed the star gazing and guest astronomer. Great place for families. We also enjoyed jumping on the moon bounce. The free smores around the firepit at night was a nice touch! I highly recommend this place.
The room could have been a lot warmer at night!

The Dome was clean and comfortable. The views were excellent. The food truck food was better than expected. Every member of the staff we encountered was absolute delight.
Lack of closet space in the Dome. Seems like the walls in the bathroom could be better utilized for hanging items. We only had two outside chairs for 3 people, in a Dome that said it slept 5. The door key was difficult to use. Luckily, there is also a keyless entry.

Clear sky resort is conveniently located just 5 minutes away from the road to the Grand Canyon, this makes a trip rather easy, however it is distand enough not to have any noises, or light pollution. Domes are super convenient you will be warm at night and cool during the day. Local food truck on premises serves great food, and there are couple of options nearby. The room has everything you need - hot shower, AC, heater. And a huge window full of stars. People who work there make this place a charm they are caring and always helpful.

We loved all of the evening activities and the sky views.
The food wasn’t great, we ordered two desserts the one night and waited 15+ mins for them and when they were brought out to us they mentioned there was no ice cream. I really wish someone would have mentioned that while ordering because we would have ordered as they were not really desserts without the ice cream.

I did love the stargazing and the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was amazing. We arrived late in the night, around 11pm because of the long trip from another state but we were very welcomed at check-in. The mornings and the evenings there were incredible and the hotel is located only around 30 min away from Grand Canyon.
I liked everything about this place.
