We had a fabulous stay at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel! The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the charming downtown area with restaurants and shops, and right next to the railway station where we boarded the train to the Grand Canyon. The facilities were wonderful. The lobby was beautiful and welcoming, the bar was a great place to relax in the evening, and our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Customer service was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, it was a perfect experience and made our Grand Canyon adventure even more special. Highly recommend!

The hotel is huge, a good example of white rat practice (going through a maze). Our room was pretty convenient to the exit where the car was parked and where we left to catch the train to the Grand Canyon. I asked for an extra blanket to be sure I would be warm enough; two were delivered within minutes. As it turned out, the temperature was comfortable without being too hot or too cold.

I originally tried to book the hotel with the train ride folks. The price was high. My friend found the same room on a third-party site for about $100 a night less. Needless to say, we took the lower price. We heard children from a neighboring room. The heating system was pretty loud when it got going. Breakfast is not free and is relatively expensive. Fortunately, we had brought some things with us, completed by a trip to the local grocery store.

The hotel was very nice. Harvey restaurant had a nice buffet, breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The bar restaurant had really good food as well. The location was the most important. We didn’t have to use our car, the train we took to the Grand Canyon was out back a few steps from the hotel. I would stay there again. Nice place.

The mattresses were on the hard side. When we first walked into the room it smelt like cigarette smoke, but we opened the window and turned on the exhaust fan in the bathroom and the ac and slowly cleared up. It was good after that. I lucked out on parking. Otherwise I would have to walk a little way from the front door.

We asked for a quiet room away from where the train comes in and received it. Clean and large. Close to everything. Excellent restaurant on site. Just minutes down the road is Bearizona. Saw over 30 bears and other animals. They feed them sweet potatoes and squash in the afternoon around 1:30. Fantastic time seeing them close by on the sides of the Safari roads. Walking part was great to. Trip of a lifetime. Great restaurants in town. Easy few minutes walk to get to the train to the Grand Canyon. Great entertainment on the train, from country & rock singers to western entertainment. Including a train robbery on the way back with cowboys on horses stopping the train. We saw a large group of wild horses running near the side of the train, 100's of large Elk, and other wild animals. Spent 3 hours at the Grand Canyon. We walked the Rim trail and saw a group of wild deer. Many people had lunch at the G.C. We took out a excellent box lunch from a nearby restaurant that had a big bakery to enjoy on the train ride. Gave us extra time at the G.C. Fantastic 3 days. Don't miss walking around the main street to all the shops and restaurants. Best place to stay in town.

Everything was great.

The room was very quiet and beds were comfortable. The shower was great.

I utterly dislike that most US hotels we have stayed in have plastic everything. Paper cups in the room all wrapped in individual plastic bags. This is so detrimental to the environment - single use plastic education really needs a boost here!! The breakfast located in another building and we had a long wait to simply get a table, so we decided not to eat there. The food in the "pub" was OK, mostly though highly-processed food made from within the SAD.

We liked how centrally located it was. It was also beautifully decorated for Christmas and had so much to do there. The staff was helpful, the room and hotel in general were very nice and cozy. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much.

Overall everything was great! The only review I could leave in terms of something to work on is more attention to detail when it comes to the dusting and wiping things down. There were certain areas that were visibly dusty and might have been overlooked when cleaning.

Proximity to Grand Canyon was great! About an hour's drive from South Rim Visitor's Center. The town where hotel is located has a small hometown feel but several options for dining. The hotel, though a little dated, was clean and perfect for family traveling with kids. The hotel staff members were friendly and very helpful! Some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with.

Overall nice place. Clean, friendly staff. The train ride to the Grand Canyon was great.

Disappointed they didn't offer breakfast with accommodations. Ended up going to The Fred Harvey restaurant at Grand Canyon Railway. Paid $19 per plate for a buffet breakfast. Everything was cold. The only good thing was the nice lady making omelets in front of you while you waited. That made it worth it. Not so much for the rest of my family though

Good size accessible bathroom, although the layout & positioning of toilet & sink were not particularly disabled friendly. Lovely white towels. Room very clean & comfy beds.

Breakfast too expensive so didn’t try it. When booking online, breakfast was quoted as $10 but we were told at reception that it was $18 - a big difference, so we ate elsewhere. Insufficient disabled parking - although some spaces are provided, there were far too few for the amount of people using the spaces. This caused problems as my wife has severe mobility problems & found it extremely difficult having to walk long distances to the room. Very poor in-room tea & coffee making facilities. No kettle for making tea, very tiny coffee maker, no teabags & insufficient supplies supplies of coffee. Only provided 2 styrofoam cups which is very poor in a hotel if this type. There should at least be proper cups or mugs.

The rooms were nice and I was happy my kids had an adjoining room with me. The restaurant located on the property had decent food and the waitress Veronica was awesome.

The hot tub area had dirty band aids laying around near by and guest were allowing children to go into the hot tub with no supervision. I think a clear sign would help mitigate this issue.
