The property was ideally located on a lake, and we were fortunate to secure a room with a balcony view of it. The setting was tranquil and most pleasant. All hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The restaurant had a somewhat limited menu and seating away from the bar area was limited. The view of the lake from the balcony was outstanding; however, it partially overlooked paved hotel property, which bordered unmaintained property between the paved area and the lake, which greatly distracted from the ambience of the view. Some grass seed or plantings would have significantly advanced the quality of the view. However, the hotel may not own or otherwise have responsibility for the area in question.

Location was awesome! Loved the lake view. The beds were comfortable.

The pool was filthy. Lots of bugs on top and the bottom was really dirty. There was trash laying around the pool area on tables and right beside the pool. There was no continental breakfast. For the price of our stay, it could have been included. There was a restaurant on site, but was very expensive. There were 4 of us in the room and we had to ask for towels. If it's a double queen room, why not put 4 towels in the room to begin with?

We have stayed at the DoubleTree multiple times in Hot Springs, when we travel through. Everything is always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is nice and we used it as well. You have to love the warm cookie they give you on arrival too.

This last visit, they seem to have stopped the morning coffee service in the lobby. They provide in-room coffee, but I generally need more than one cup. They used to provide coffee in the lobby in the mornings, but they seem to have stopped that recently which was a bummer.

Breakfast was a $16-17 per person extra charge so we chose to to partake. I paid $225 before outrageous extra charges (final total $258) and for that price normally you expect a free breakfast.

Our room was beautiful but unfortunately it had not been vacuumed and several bits of what appeared to be candy was on the carpet. Also we noticed that the comforter was not properly placed on the bed, being at least a foot short of where a normal person would sleep. I addressed that issue as well as the food stuff on the carpet with the front desk.

There’s not one thing I could say about this visit, property, room, amenities that wouldn’t be absolutely complementary of the staff and the great service we received.

The only thing I didn’t like was that there wasn’t free coffee in the lobby, but I understand. It’s offered in the rooms and it’s for sale in the dining room so I get it. Don’t like it, but I get it.

shower / restroom was great! Cookies were great. 24 hr coffee - great.

When we arrived, the desk attendant asked "are you aware the room you reserved was an exercise room?" We answered... no, what do you mean? He continued to describe the room has exercise equipment in it, but he would not be able to change room types since we made the reservation online... We got to the room, realized what he was talking about. Nice equipment, but hardly what two people celebrating their 48th anniversary would utilize. Moreover, it was frustrating to realize we had one chair in the room.. no relaxing room conversations to consider this trip. So, the bottom line is, we used the room for a shower and bed. The bed covering was as light as two sheets, hardly enough to stay warm.

Clean and those at the front desk were extremely friendly. The fire pit outside looking over the water was also neat and relaxing.

The restaurant had limited choices which is fine but the food should be well prepared for the price you have to pay. The chicken was dry and inedible. Also, we wanted to eat in the dining area but they packed our food in to-go containers and gave us no silverware.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms are nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable furniture and the bathroom(shower) was designed gorgeously. We fell in love with the shower, wish that would work in our house. The hotel staff was professional, along with guests who were courtesy. We loved the Crabtree products, this was the first time had used that brand and we are tempted to order on Amazon.

The dinner menu did not offer much. We only ate breakfast there once, in which the food was good. I totally understand the cost of a hotel operating a restaurant. I do not think operating a restaurant would be cost efficient for this hotel.

Room was very quiet, bed was comfortable.

Ice machine on the floor of our room was not functioning the whole stay, the air conditioner works great unfortunately it blows in the direction of the bed, the pool was a bit cloudy (the filter was not running when we were out there on Saturday afternoon.

Everything was great especially the greeting we got from the desk clerk on Friday afternoon Oct 27th. He told us about the local restaurants in the area and even what to order at each one. He went over things at the hotel in great detail just for our overnight stay. He really is an asset to your hotel. I own a business and I know how important it is to have friendly, helpful people representing my company when we come to their house just like when we came to your hotel. That gentleman is a real asset for Double Tree.
