This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and thought this would be a great place. The hotel is in a good location. It is close to restaurants, gas stations, stores, and it is relatively close to the downtown area. Breakfast was nice. There were good options and we definitely didn't leave hungry. The lobby is clean and the room we stayed in was also very clean. Everything in the room looked modern and the bed was really comfy. The parking lot had parking all around and a door you could enter in the back with your room key. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we'd definitely stay here again.

Although the hotel is very nice, we noticed this time that we could hear our neighbors a lot. We could clearly hear the conversation our neighbors were having in their room while we were laying in bed. Thicker walls would be nice, but that's hard to do when everything is already built. It was a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker. Having more towels in the bathroom would be nice. For our two night stay, there was only 2 body towels to use, so we asked for more. This wasn't a problem, but having a fresh towel for each day per person is nice.

Staff was very courteous.

I was visilting my son who lived in Hot Springs. He had terminal cancer and passed away 4th of July. As I checked out to go home the front desk heard my story and comped me for that day day. That told me that you do care for your guests and treat them with respect and care for them. If the opportunity arises for me to travel again I will choose Microtel.

The only thing and this is real picky on my part is that the small fridge is a little noisy at night when trying to sleep.

The location was perfect—so close to everything we needed, making it super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to come back again!

The bathrooms are a little on the small side, and there aren’t any closets—not a big deal for us, but just mentioning it in case someone else is wondering. It didn’t affect our experience at all. We still really enjoyed our stay!

Breakfast was a full hot breakfast with cereal, pastries, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and waffle maker. The room had an interesting reading bench/chaise lounge.

Coffee was worse than instant IMO. Also, I could clearly hear the tv and (extremely talkative) guests in the next room. However, this was common in every hotel I stayed at, so not sure if this is just standard for the area. Luckily they quieted around 11pm, so I didn't bother bringing it up to the front desk.

The room was large and so was bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable for me or my husband, but we are not spring chickens so it could just be us. We got up at 4:30 the next morning because we couldn’t sleep. Went down to get coffee at 6:00 and ended up eating breakfast at 6:30. The breakfast was delicious and both of the staff in charge of cooking were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Just the bed, not very comfortable.

The hotel staff were all so pleasant & helpful! Very new, modern & spotlessly clean hotel in a convenient location to restaurants & Oaklawn Racetrack & Casino. We really appreciated the free hotel shuttle for the racetrack & several area restaurants,etc.

No pool or outdoor area for sitting. The breakfast was good, but it would have been nice to have different hot foods such as bacon, grits, breakfast quesadillas or breakfast sandwiches. Each of the 3 mornings of our stay the hot items were the same (sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits/ gravy).

Clean room. Shower instead of tub. That was not bad for me since I cannot climb into a tub any more. Very modern decor. They had a microwave and refrigerator in room. Great breakfast- eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, Belgian waffles, coffee, juice. They also had a cabinet of microwavable rice, mac and cheese, etc. Also cooler and freezer with pizzas, frozen dinners and ice cream to purchase and prepare. Lots of space and tables in breakfast room.

Family felt the rooms were rather stark - like a dorm room.
