5-Stars across the board. Darrin and Amy have created a homey and welcoming environment. The staff, Cadence and Toni, were so amazing, so nice and helpful. We stayed in Bessie's room and it was lovely. They have thought of everything, from the little things in the rooms to the well stocked (lots of included snacks and hot chocolate) and equiped quest kitchen. The common areas are super nice. Pool table, games and fireplaces. There is plenty of space so you can either hang out with other quests or find a nice alcove to read a book. The grounds are very nice and relaxing to sit on the large deck in the morning. We loved the location. A quiet neighborhood away from the bustle of the village, but only 10 minutes away, with easy (2min) access to some very nice walks in the forest. The breakfast was wonderful. They are very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Definitely worth a stay while in Big Bear.

Great place, great people. Every room has a unique charm. We stayed at the famous Clark Gable room. It is very elegant and charming. We would love to come back in summer as well and enjoy more the terrace and garden. The living room has different games and fireplace. It is 15 minutes away from the Main Street with all restaurants and bars as well.

Breakfast was good, however there wasn’t any options to choose from. Location was good, nice neighborhood to walk around and the area was quiet.

The staircase to the rooms are a little narrow for going up with suitcases.

Stayed at the lodge for a wedding Oct 23, 2022. The staff was amazing, room & facility was charming and breakfast was delicious. Darrin and Amy have a superb B&B. I will book again and recommend to anyone needing accomodations in Big Bear.

The breakfast was very good. Location is easy to find.

The property offers a common area featuring a large billiard table, a chess set, and a wide variety of board games. The garden is nice, providing an inviting atmosphere. The welcome was warm and friendly. Unfortunate that a power outage occurred on the morning of our last day.

* The breakfast was disappointing and could be reconsidered, particularly regarding the quantity, which felt limited. * A refrigerator in the room would be a great addition, as the only one available is currently located outside the hostel. (The one in the common area is too small to be used).

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The host was incredibly rude from the start, making us feel unwelcome the moment we arrived. Instead of a warm greeting, we were met with impatience and an attitude like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. Throughout our stay, any attempt to communicate was met with short, dismissive responses, and he seemed annoyed by the simplest questions. Hospitality is clearly not his strong suit. The place itself was decent, but the negative attitude completely ruined the experience. If you value basic kindness and respect, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of hosts out there who actually appreciate their guests—this guy is not one of them.
