The Green lantern Inn stay was a dream!! I have always loved the charm and beauty of Carmel and this Inn was the perfect place to stay! The classic cute cottages are so quaint set amidst gardens and trees- so quiet and peaceful. Linda greeted us and was so accommodating and patient and sweet after our long travel. At first we thought our loft room was a little too cozy small- so she showed us other options that were available and all cute! We are so happy we stayed in the one we booked- it was so cute and perfect!! We slept great in the comfy bed and woke up to great coffee and fresh pastries in the window wrapped front room of the Inn - absolutely wonderful! We wish we could have stayed longer!!

The Green Lantern Inn is a great place to stay & is walking distance to lots of Carmel shops and restaurants. It’s an older Inn, but is well maintained & updated, still holding to the vintage style. Our cottage was small but very clean and comfortable. The cottages and grounds feel like a story-book garden with lush greenery and flowers as well as trickling water fountains. The pastries and coffee offered in the common area, by the office are a nice touch. The Inn staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our 2 day getaway at Green Lantern Inn. So quaint! I highly recommend it.

Pillows could’ve been bigger and more comfortable. Even though the continental breakfast was nice, there could’ve been a little more. (Like maybe fruit and yogurt??)

Room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Access to ice, tea water and a microwave was very convenient. The ground are lovely and the location was perfect! Quiet neighbourhood but only 5 minutes walk to center and beach. Very friendly and helpful staff. The price of my room (reserved well in advance) was reasonable for Carmel in July.

The breakfast was for me pointless- croissants and cake, with water, coffee or tea. Nothing nourishing/ healthy. Although the breakfast room was quite nice. I did enjoy a piece of cake that was served in the afternoon- nice touch after time on the beach. The bathroom was pretty old, but clean and functional.

Location is impeccable. Easy walk to the beach, and main shopping area/street. The grounds of the green lantern were beautiful and serene. The homemade bread pudding was as good as anything at a restaurant/bakery. And don't miss out on the homemade cookies in the afternoon! This place was such a treat and a great little getaway from the bustle and boogie-ness of Carmel. We felt very welcome, and comfortable during our stay! The price and last minute booking availability was a huge plus!

We were disappointed because we have stayed at this property before and it apparently changed ownership after we booked. We used to have a lovely breakfast and my daughter looked forward to making her own waffles there. Now they just have a few small pastries in a case but I was happy they still had coffee and tea. The original room we were booked in was way to small and we were moved to a bigger room where we stayed in the past.

Small room but up graded to a better room because we wouldn't fit in the bed. Also no breakfast now.

The Inn was adorable! The check in process was super easy. The garden was fantastic! I loved the blooms everywhere! We enjoyed our loft room and will come back someday soon. It was my 60th birthday celebration and the lovely lady that checked us in gave us a bottle of champagne when she found out. She was so sweet and welcoming!

It would've been better if our room would have been ventilated prior to our arrival. We had been on a long flight and drive and were hot and sweaty. The loft was very warm with no fans or windows open upon our arrival. We were given another fan and it cooled off beautifully upon our return from dinner. It would've been great to have had it cooled off for our arrival.

Lots of outdoor seating. Very clean and well taken care of. Nice lobby to hang out in.

No breakfast. Reviews had breakfast mentioned so we assumed they still served breakfast. They don’t. When we arrived we were given a room with one bed for 4 people but they were able to quickly switch us out. Not very forthcoming with amenities.

It is perfect location to walk to the beach and to the stores.

The parking can be difficult. We left Sunday morning to go out and came back around 3pm and were having issues finding a parking spot. There was someone parked in one of the spots and they were sitting in the car with the car on. We had to circle around/ wait about 20 minutes before we could get a parking spot.

I loved this little motel. It offers cottage rooms very well kept and romantic. The locations is perfect (a few steps from the beach and a few steps from Carmel's city center. It is close to restaurants, shops and bars. The personell is super nice and we appreciated the coffees and cokies in the morning. The internet worked well, the bed was very confy and the bathroom clean and neat. I would go back

A bit too expensive, given the season?

My wife and I stayed at Green Lantern during Thanksgiving weekend. The good thing about this place is that they serve breakfast. The manager will give you the breakfast menu a day before, all you have to do is encircle what you want and return the slip to the Front Desk BEFORE 9 PM that day. You have to choose which time to pick your breakfast 8 :05 AM, 8:15 AM, 9:05 AM until 10 AM. They have yogurt parfait ,bacon and veggie frittata, bagel basket, waffle and avocado toast. They serve coffee, tea, juice, and water. The Inn is close to the water and the main street. Parking is okay. Employees are friendly! The room is clean and has a cottage feel to it.

Maybe a little upgrade but overall okay.
