We eloped in Carmel and chose this hotel as our base, we are so happy with our decision! The location is perfect, it has a really nice vibe and we managed to get free parking at the Sunset parking lot nearby. Have to mention Miley who was working the morning of our wedding, she is a star and really made us feel at ease and even arranged for a bottle of beautiful sparkling Rose to be put in our room. This lady is gold and is everything you want to make for a happy stay :)

Loved everything about my stay. Amazing location in the heart of Carmel by the sea, a short walk from gorgeous beach and literally steps away from everything else worth seeing here. It’s a fresh and pretty b&b, love the Pali chain and their approach to details. Lovely design both rooms and lobby, fav diptique toiletries and charming vibe.

The only thing that seemed a bit off was diptique body lotion and conditioner - the fragrance seemed like old/expired. I only noticed that about creamy textures, shampoo and body wash were okay.

Just a few streets off Ocean makes this property a bit quieter than the sister location. Travelers be prepared as there are no assigned parking spots for this location -not even for check in. I got a good rate mid week and was happy with the accommodations-they even provide a flat iron along side the hair dryer and robe you would expect-good to know for next time. Refrigerators are noted for each room but they are full of items to purchase so if you are looking to store leftovers or snacks you may find room sparse there. Bikes are available to use and there are plenty of outdoor areas to lounge if traveling with others.

Parking is an issue.

The front desk person, Carlos, was very nice and incredibly helpful. He recommended a wonderful restaurant that I took my partner too for his birthday. The food was wonderful. The hotel staff was sweet and personable. The room was amazingly decorated. The fireplace, and the complementary water was a lovely choice. I loved all the little decor touches and the incredible cozy vibes the hotel offered. The breakfast was also a great touch and they also offered hot drinks which was really great. This hotel excels at the little touches that make a guest feel welcome and at home.

Unfortunately the shower in our room didn't have proper drainage and the shower hardware was broken and came off in my hand. The closet and bar set up was located in the bathroom which was a bit odd. There was no proper ventilation so the glassware and bottles of wine would be steamed when showering. Also having glassware so close to the toilet does make it a bit unappealing to use. The breakfast options provided were very sparse and the bread options were stale. But there are great bakeries steps from the hotel so it wasn't a huge deal.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. The cozy feel and ambience was perfect. Everyone in the staff was as very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely go back!

The only thing we didn’t like was having to stay in the bottom floor. There was a family above us with a small child who didn’t stop running back and forth since early morning and also late at night. That’s just common sense for the parents to have a little more consideration when staying at a hotel with little ones.

Excellent breakfast options for the morning with plenty of fruit and pastries to fuel your day, in addition to a small menu with items that can be requested from the wonderful staff at the Petit Pali.

Room was average-sized, however there weren't a ton of options to store luggage/clothing in the room. The towels could have been nicer as they stayed damp throughout our stay and are a bit thin. The fan in the bathroom didn't seem to come on.

Location excellent, interior decoration colorful and pretty, high quality continental breakfast, music, quiet at night, great shower, refreshed courtyard, staff courteous and helpful, fireplace in room and common area

My husband was never happy with the pillows (both the same and no additional options), heating system makes noise as it turns on and off during night (we turned it off to solve)

Location was great and the rooms were well appointed with some nice homey touches like cookie delivery and welcome drinks. The breakfast was also a great way to start the day.

The fridge and glasses are kept in the bathroom, which is off putting. Parking is also limited but as they don’t have their own lot.

Wonderful venue and beautifully designed. Friendly welcome and attentive staff. The most comfortable bed. The breakfast is amazing and wish we had stayed for longer.great location and 10 min walk to the beach.

The most amazing place and could not fault a thing

Breakfast was wonderful! The best part of the stay, however, was the staff. They were all so friendly, professional, and plain fun!

The only thing I didn't like was the music outside. The sound of it came into our room while I was reading and trying to relax and I couldn't with the music :( It was distracting and not the music I wanted to hear while on vacation. I would nix it and just play it in the breakfast area.
