Gorgeous renovated period home. Very comfortable.

I found it overpriced. The room was lovely but the bathroom was pokey and uncomfortable as it was in the roof line. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. My last gripe was with the breakfast service - whilst the food was very good, Linda (cook) was very keen to convey her political leanings to us which I did not appreciate. First thing in the morning I am not interested in how she refuses to listen to Taylor swift or watch a Tom hanks film because they made there political views known! I recommend Linda keep certain topics off limits and recognise that some guests may just like a quiet breakfast.

We absolutely loved staying at the George! It was exceptionally well run, with super helpful and lovely staff. The welcome from Tracy was amazing - we were made to feel truly special - and the breakfasts cooked by Linda every morning were wonderful. It was so nice to have a home-cooked, healthy, fresh hot breakfast every day and the choice of options was great. The team could not have done more to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The property itself is beautiful, and has clearly been sensitively and tastefully restored. The rooms are very well provisioned and I can honestly say that the bed linen was the softest and most comfortable I've ever slept in. The location is great too - an easy walk from the centre of Napa, and the staff had lots of great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. It's not cheap, but I would say it was well worth the money. Would definitely stay again.

It's a lovely quiet spot, but there was a little noise in the room at night. It's an old house, and that's probably why we could hear the plumbing and air conditioning at times.

The hotel/estate is absolutely beautiful inside and out. We found the staff friendly, very communicative and accommodating, and check-in was convenient. Our suite was spacious, super comfortable, and the full breakfast was delicious. We really liked that downtown Napa where our we reserved a table for dinner was a short walk away. Another thing we appreciated was the lack of extra charges, and that parking, breakfast, etc. was all inclusive.

There isn't much we didn't like about this beautiful hotel. One small comment: the people in my party traveled separately, and the first one to arrive was my friend who was asked for a credit card without explaining why it was needed. I had already paid through the booking.com app, so it was a little confusing. I assume the request was to cover any incidental charges if needed. Since the booking was not under my friend's name, the hostess' greeting upon her arrival was one of surprise and some confusion, and not the hospitality she expected. Soon after I arrived, it smoothed things over and all was fine.

Breakfast was homemade with gourmet standards. The chef was very talented and charming. The hotel staff were very friendly and attended to all of our needs. Bed was super comfortable and because The George is a proper old (restored) Victorian, we could open the window to breathe in the fresh autumn air. The outside patio area was super comfy affording us the opportunity to sip wine and visit with other wonderful guests. It was a truly remarkable experience!

We loved our stay here and are so glad we chose it over others. The location was great, the inn and the the room were gorgeous and so clean. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was delicious!

The Best! Beautifully done, historic building. Just a few blocks from the river and downtown. Attentive Staff! Great breakfast with nice options!

The property was beautiful, charming, and relaxing! It was in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was delicious and the yard was so nice to sit outside after a day of exploring :)

beautifully furnished , met by wonderful staff, Linda, who served us champagne and tid bits and let us check in early. The rooms are beautifully appointed.

The air conditioning unit played up in both our rooms and we had to switch them off because of the loud noises coming from them. We mentioned this to Linda and if they are able to get that fixed, the stay would be sublime.

Tracy was amazing, breakfast fantastic, room comfortable and soooo clean. Loved it. Pull out bed was a tad uncomfortable, according to my daughter but the king was spacious and comfy. Great pillows too.
