A $50 temporary authorization hold was charged to my credit card and has still not been released- almost two months later. Two telephone calls required waiting about 30 minutes each to speak to someone in accounting. finally someone emailed me a release that I have to forward to my credit card company. Hopefully this will the resolve the disputed charge.

I loved the room we received an upgrade on a higher floor which was nice the bed was super comfortable and room was clean. The lounge/bar was the best part. We were here for New Year’s Eve and everywhere was expensive to get into so it was nice that the hotel had a cute bar that was open until 1am. Bre the bartender was super sweet and the drinks were delicious. There were so many things to do within walking distance. Bars, restaurants etc. highly recommend to check out Sana’a Cafe best coffee and deserts just an 8 min walk in downtown Sacramento.

Only thing was the room had a slight smell either smoke or maybe just that the room was a little old. Didn’t really bother me.

Parking was very affordable, safe and convenient. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was conveniently located, clean, and quite comfortable. My food was very good, my husband's was okay and the coffee was great.

My husband's sandwich was bland and it took a while to get it. We easily went to pick it up downstairs since that was 10 minutes quicker than room service would have been. It was a long walk from the parking garage to our room since the hotel is so large.

The gentleman at the front desk gave us a room with a pool view and was very friendly and informative at check-in. My family loved the pool and the pool hours. I liked that it opened early, but I just wish it stayed open a little later. The big TV and ice/coffee/fridge cart was very nice.

The parking garage cost is not included in room rate and dealing with validating parking every in/out was a little annoying. A parking pass would be nice.

The staff especially Natalie , food server was amazing. She served us in the bar on Thursday evening. She was the only server and she was profesional and courteous with a customer focused demeanor. The next day for breakfast we saw her in the Vines restaurant! While she was not our server we approached her to say good morning and considering the short time between shifts she was as sharp as ever!

There could be better instructions when leaving the garage that you should take your room key with you. Parking had been paid with check out : however we couldn't leave. The ticket that was dispensed did not work. Fortunately, attendant called front desk after I gave him my room number. I had no intention of paying again to leave the hotel garage.

The guest rooms are well furnished and comfortable in size. The bed was comfortable and the room maintained a cozy temperature. Self parking was easy and $25 a night. Location in the downtown area makes getting out an enjoying the neighborhood a nice benefit.

The only downside here is that they leave the doors to the parking garage open all the time, temps were in the low 50's at night and in the morning when I went to breakfast on the first floor the dining room was freezing cold. When I complained they moved me to a warmer area of the dining room.

A great room, clean, comfortable and a great view of the capital building. The location was perfect. We could walk to so many great restaurants. The rose garden at the capital was a quick 5 minute walk. Hats off to a wonderful staff! Bellman to housekeeping, wonderful.

No negatives at all.

The Vines Service Team was very good and because of a previous experience they won my return visit. While we had an initial issue regarding the room type it was the very smart front desk folks that found a solution. We were grateful for their help. The valet team was wonderful and always had out car ready. We enjoyed the pool and the bar staff in getting us our beverages and food requests. We liked that there was a Starbucks onsite too. Special thanks to the outstanding maid services for the room upkeep. She was fantastic and detailed in her approach and is a big influence on our hopeful return visit in the future.

The room's Sink was cracked and we informed the from desk immediately upon our discovery of it. The crack did not impact our stay and they said it will be fixed.

The pool is very small for such a big hotel. There are some written rules concerning its usage but no stuff around, who could take care that they are implemented. We haven’t found a shower and nobody from guest there knew where one was. I can guess nobody used one. Guest were drinking and eating at the edge of pool (brought snacks ) and some listened to the music (from mobile or JBL box). Not really relaxing. Very pitty. :-( The staff at the bar at about 10pm was not attentive at all. Our cocktails were not top.

Next to the beautiful Capitol Park.

The area in my room around the ice bucket had crumbs from the previous guest. The walls were so thin I could hear toilets flushing and even one time someone was moaning. There were 18 cloves of garlic in the Grains & Greens breakfast and the waiter’s response was, “We’ve heard that before and have tried to tell the chef.”
