Great location, friendly staff, cute property and room. They have a small community kitchen if you were inclined to use it.

The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and it wasn’t a queen size bed as listed (I think not was a full size which was tight for my wife and I). There is a metal “skirt” around the frame of the bed that made noise every time I got in or out of bed that was super annoying. Walls are very thin and I couldn’t sleep until the next room turned off their tv and stopped talking (11:40 pm). No decaf coffee in their kitchen.

This was the first time staying at the Calafia Inn. We enjoyed our stay. In a way it was still retro but with an updated flare. The room was clean and cozy. Ms. Patel was lovely and courteous. She was informative about the nearby amenities! Thank you!

The only thing I “didn’t” like was that there was no microwave in the room. However, there was a kitchen station on the property. Which actually is kind of cool when you think about it!

The staff was very personable and friendly. I told them we were in town for a softball tournament and they gave us some hydration drinks for my daughter's softball team. The room looked brand new and everything was clean. The shared kitchen was a thoughtful and convenient addition. I will definitely be staying here the next time in town.

easy on and off the highway for access to all the other areas we were going to. ability to walk to restaurants and quick serve markets. Was not impressed with Padro's Tacos but the Sweet Street Cafe was good.

parking, there were several guests with big trucks that took up more than one spot. the parking spot right in front of the kitchen made it a pain to get into the kitchen for coffee. no disposable utensils to use for road trips. I understand plastic is bad for the environment, but there are plenty of compostable products on the market.

We booked a couple of rooms as we were having a huge family party in town. This place is very very nice! Very clean! Not what we expected! The service was impeccable along with the cleanliness! We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant place to stay. I would highly recommend this place for anyone. And love the center courtyard and there is a place to sit outside and relax!

I was greeted upon check-in and check-out by very kind hardworking owners, a woman and man. The place was clean, cute and comfortable. There is some street traffic noise to be expected, but that quieted down at night. I highly recommend Calafia Inn and would like to stay there again when I am visiting San Clemente.

Just the street noise because it is on a main road. It quieted down and did not disrupt my sleep.

Very clean and room was just as described! There is a kitchen available for all occupants to use. Has an ice maker, microwave coffee pot and a fridge. Also a hot plate and dishes if u need to whip up a quick meal!

The owners (the Patels) are super nice and very helpful. The place is totally clean and the rooms are cleaned everyday.

beautiful place and quiet hotel, good for those who are looking for a peaceful place to sleep. i love that they are walking distance for 7/11 , a liquor store, and restaurants joyce was a thrill and easy to communicate. i’ll will definitely be back

Bed was very comfortable. Location was perfect for our stay. Theres a small restaurant next door. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of outlets for our gear and phones.

We could not adjust the A/C so we were cold all night. The room is very spartan lacking decorations. The shower is nice BUT you have to step into it to turn it on and will get wet with cold water.
