Super clean room. Bed very comfy. Rather good location, if noisy at times. The towels were very soft.

The a/c didn't work. Most all the function buttons were broken. Apparently just the fan worked and it had only ONE level: NOISY HIGH. The other a/c's in the building (one of which ran all night which seemed dumb) were noisy. The toilet plugged up easily but we unplugged it ourselves. Good plunger, however. I think Motel 6 would have been a better value, but we didn't like its location. We also live in a tourist town and appreciate the high cost of summer motels, even modest ones. This was about average value, I guess. A trolley schedule and map posted on the bulletin board would be nice. We used it and got great help from the locals.

This quaint little gem is located on one of the main streets in San Clemente. As I had been camping without facilities for a couple of days, I requested and received an early check in. The staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and nicely decorated with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everything worked well. The hot shower was definitely a welcomed relief after my experience at local State Beach campgrounds which were sadly not what they once were. If you're looking for a cute comfortable place near the beach you cant go wrong here. There was some noise from the street from motorcycle traffic, but the A/C was the perfect way to negate that minor problem.

I can honestly say that the only minor issue was the intermittent street noise which really wasn't an issue at all.

Our son is at Camp Pendleton (northern end) and this was a very convenient spot for visiting with him. We were walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. The Bagel Shack next door is great for breakfast!

The room had hardwood floors which were nice and clean. The bed was soft and a bit worn, but we still slept well. The AC kept us cool during our entire stay. Kate and crew were helpful with any tips we needed for "things to do". We even were able to enjoy the outdoor relaxing chair spot. Evenings were quiet and the place was tidy and comfy for the few days we were there.

The bathroom was a bit outdated and looked to be recently remodeled. It reminded me of my grandparent's place as a kid. The shower could have been tidier, but we loved the makeup nook that they had. The towels appeared to be clean, but since they were colored, you could see they had bleach stains. Maybe white sets would be better than dark-colored sets?

Perfect location to catch the trolley so you don’t have to drive. Easy to walk to downtown. Bed was comfortable and they have a small private parking lot. Staff was exceptional.

Noisy being so close to the street. A little mold in the fridge probably from it defrosting and then being plugged back in. Parking is limited in private lot if you decide to drive in the evening. Street parking is available though.

Charming, quaint 1930s motel, semi renovated, wonderful staff, great location. We’d stay again. You need reasonable expectations - it’s cheap for San Clemente. They’ve made it cute with extras like a tiny picnic area and dog area, nice linens, table/stools in room. But it’s old and not soundproofed. The main negative is it’s on a busy street and noise is significant. The positives are: super kind staff, 5 mins from T-Street beach, awesome bagel/coffee cafe next door.

Kate was the kindest and most accommodating person. We got there a little earlier than expected and although the room wasn't ready, she checked us in and took the time to text and notify us when we could come back to the room. The room was comfortable, spacious, and beautiful.

The location of The Patriot's motel was wonderful. You can walk to the best shopping and dining in San Clemente, and even get down to the beach in like 20 minutes if you want to. And for the price? You absolutely can't beat it in Southern California. Can't wait to stay here again!

We took our family to San Clemente for a little get away. We LOVED everything about The Patriots Boutique Motel. Upon arrival we met Jenny. She was so kind and friendly. The rooms were very clean! We loved the beach decor and overall feel. It was very quaint, comfortable and affordable. We would definitely stay again!

Well, the reservation was actually for my two boys, age 21 and 18. Check-in went smoothly, and the room was better than anticipated. When I asked my son how the accommodations were, he said that they were "sick." They were in San Clemente to be on a surfing weekend. So, the location was perfect.
