No staff whatsoever but Fred was the person I dealt with through text. He responds right away. The room itself was cozy but plain, nothing extravagant. The location is great, a mile or so from the beach, 3-4 blocks from the local shops, groceries, cafés. There is no stove, just a mini fridge that froze everything and a mini microwave. The convenience was the front desk door was unlocked and we were able to get necessities as we ran out ( trash bags, coffee pods, new towels and cups). It’s a little overpriced but the location kind of makes up for it.

Traveled with daughter. The room was perfect for us two. Fridge was very convenient, as she always has leftovers and for storing drinks. Your stay experience will depend on the room you choose. Mine had a kitchenette. And it was decent in size, and not too expensive for Coronado.. There's a gas station nearby, made it convenient for buying snacks. Keep in mind that this gas station does not sell alcohol. You would have to walk around 3 blocks to the nearest liquor / beer store..Location is great. Right in the middle of the island. If you decide not to walk to either side, Uber/Lyft was cheap, considering how close everything is.

The bed was vey comfortable, ideal for a short stay We were able to walk into the main points of interest There are very few taxi,s on Coronada, and we were unable to use the Uber with our UK account So, the young man on the front desk arranged for a friend to collect us and take us to the cruise terminal in San Diego

The Motel is on a main road, so you will hear some noise, but it was OK for us, and we did manage to sleep well

Charming exterior with comfortable outside seating areas; cute retro feel; room was clean and comfortable, and although it was somewhat cramped, they made the most of the available space. Our room (#1) was on the end, so it had windows on two walls, which was nice. Decent value for the area. A 10-minute walk to the ferry landing. We had a car but were always able to get one of the motel's parking spaces (there are two in front of the motel on Orange Avenue and three [plus one handicapped] behind the motel off the alley between 3rd and 4th Streets).

Because our room was at the end of the motel closest to Orange Avenue, there was a lot of traffic noise, but that couldn't really be helped. As long as the window was closed, it wasn't too bad.

I thought the location for me was great. On the main road but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Very walkable if you are in decent shape. Parking on the street is available for free. Very quiet place to stay. Guests were all friendly. The seating area out front was quite large for such a quaint motel.

Rooms were a bit tight. We were in a double queen room. Our coffee maker was a bit fussy. The lights outside were too bright for me. I like it dark in my room. I never saw a staff person. We really didn't need one.

The hotel was charming. The room was small but adequate with a seating area and a bed. The grounds were welcoming with a small courtyard and seating area. Within half a block to the bus stop and 3 blocks to the beach. I appreciated the cold water dispenser on the deck area.

The rooms were showing signs of age. Some sprucing up could be helpful. The check in process was a bit odd as I could not get hold of a person to check me in. After about 25 minutes I received a text on how to check in and was given a room upgrade due to the mix up so it was all ok in the end.

It is a really cute hotel. The patios make up for the smaller room size. Nice to be out sea air. It had all the needed amenities microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. It also has water purifier with hot and cold water at the front which was really nice. They reached out via text to provide check-in info and parking options. It was peaceful even being on the main road.

Nothing really enjoyed our stay.

We were able to park the car and walk to both sides of the island (bay side and Ferry Landing; and ocean side and Hotel Del Coronado). We walked to the ferry and went over to downtown San Diego and walked to enough attractions to fill a day and evening, then back to the ferry. On return, the patio seating area out on Orange Ave is awesome. The room had an island hut vibe to it. Convenient check-in and check-out. Groceries within walking distance allowed us to pit the lottle refrigerator to use. Good stay!

Turning on the bathroom light also turns on the (exhaust) vent. It's a little much if you don't want that additional noise everytime you go in the bathroom. That's about it if I must say. The stay at El Rancho is one that I would do again.

The rooms and property were decorated really cool and fun. It had all the necessary amenities. The property manager, Fred, was super attentive and responded very quickly with any questions we had. The location was perfect. Right between the two streets we needed for the base and the bridge.

Nothing comes to mind.

Love the beach house feel and the patios up front and in back. It was easy check in and check out. Friendly staff and room was stocked with towels, lots of pillows and extra blankets. Conveniently located right on Orange. Within walking distance to the big park, shopping and the beach!

There was nothing that stood out that I didn’t like.
