The location was great! I really enjoyed some of services even though it was a long wait at times. Staff was nice and it was a really nice facility.

There was no fridge in the rooms. Parking was really expensive on top of paying for hotel each night. Service request were done slow there I had to grab things for myself cause it took a long time for it to come to my room.

Comfortable king-sized bed, Room Size for one person, my room had an amazing view, security, staff on 24/7, able to make a RSVP same night arriving before 1am, easy to find, close to Petco Park, Gaslamp District, Altitude Sky Bar on the 22nd floor, able to hold luggage for you (valet), 24/7 gym, pillow spray to help get a good night's sleep, etc.

I heard some gargling noises from the pipes - wasn't sure if it was the toilet or the sink - I think it was the sink when others may have used theirs in the building? I couldn't tell how to change the temp in the room easily - the buttons didn't really go up or down when pushed, but maybe it was b/c I didn't turn the air on completely until I woke up later in the morning to allow some cool air in since I wanted to keep the temp warmer at night.

It was a little overpriced. I expect a little upcharge for when a special event is in town but this was a little much. Nonetheless, the hotel was great, the staff extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Great hotel.

There were no negatives, except the restaurant and bar closed early for a Saturday night - especially with a huge concert right next door at the same night. You would think they would have stayed open past the end ng of the concert. Several people went up to the restaurant door only to be turned away.

Beautiful lobby, restaurant available although we didn’t go, comfy beds, beautiful views, stadium was literally across the street, full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash if needed, it was great.

Our room did not have a fridge, not a deal breaker but couldn’t keep our drinks cold. Some reviewers were complaining about the noise outside but honestly it’s not that bad, I had a 10 year old and he didn’t even notice. We slept just fine. Unless you are an extremely light sleeper, it was just fine. They have a snack store but too expensive. An energy drink was $10! Bring your own snacks.

We were on the 21st floor, right across from the lounge. Very convenient, quiet, easy access. Bonus to watch Padre's play from the lounge windows. Clean, well maintained, and concierge service includes breakfast

Older stately building/decor, which could use some refreshing. USB charging areas for technology was lacking. Breakfasts could use some rotations of choice. Great location means $$$$.

Decor rather dated, but perfectly adequate; Beds were comfortable (if a bit small compared to European standards - but that’s a common thing sadly - my adult sons found it very cozy indeed); location fabulous - didn’t have to walk far to find loads of great dining options; and we LOOOOOOVED the roof top bar - beautiful place to watch the sun go down; ideal place to stay if in town to see a baseball game (or catch a concert) as the stadium is literally a stones throw away - or an awful place if you’re not interested in either (neither happened during our 3 night stay. We overlooked the ball park & watched them setting up for a Fri/Sat concert set: there’d have been no peace whatsoever during the concert or for the hour or so thereafter - not sure what that would have been like for a non-attendee trying to get an early night, but I’m guessing not brilliant). We weren’t inconvenienced at all by 43,000 people suddenly appearing on the door step, so it was perfect!!

The AC in the room stopped working - so our last night was incredibly uncomfortable (and the penultimate wasn’t brilliant either).

The only issue I had was the reservation was under the wrong name! Booking.com had used my middle name as my last name and the hotel couldn’t locate my reservation when I tried to check in

Valet parking was $65

The staff was excellent. Always friendly and accommodating. Warm and down to earth. Never snooty. Probably one of the best staffs I’ve ever encountered. I will be sure to write an excellent review on TripAdvisor

Just one small thing: an architect design flaw. The windows in our suite were very small which made the whole room a bit dark. If there were mini balconies this would be an A++ property

The hotel is very close to the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, the heart of San Diegos dining and entertainment district,is located minutes away from the World-Famous San Diego Zoo, Seaport Village, Little Italy, Coronado, and Old Town.

We arrived earlier than expected and without hesitation the front desk was able to check us in earlier which was a great convince for us. We really appreciated that. The location was perfect central to lots of place to walk to.

The only negative was we went to the rooftop it was early like 6:00 pm and I walked in with a few sips left of my coffee that I had made in my room and they did not allow me to bring it in. The security guard said I don't know if you put some alcohol in that. I was like dang I'm not even a drinker anymore so I threw it out which sucks cause everything is about alcohol and now that I don't drink I really like my coffee. Anyways the rooftop bar looked not classy it looked crusty if I could describe it so we left and I threw out my coffee for nothing. Other than that everything was great.
