staff super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help. Late checkout. super comfy bed. best oatmeal and fish tacos Ive ever had. Lots of amenities in the room. We got left alone in our room. Felt special and treated like any other guest even though I'm usually disheveled and a bit weird sometimes. Very clean and functional.

slightly loud- toilet running (just closed the door) and clicking HVAC unit. View sucked (they cant all be good tho). Charged beforehand for food that we didn't ask for and the hotel would keep whether we ordered food or not. No deck or place to smoke except out on the street.

Nice big room. Friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. Useful gym with a peloton bike however you will need your own subscription to use the bike. Hotel is very clean and in a good location, you can walk to nearby activities and restaurants.

Aircon unit outside our window was loud. Some information was missed on check in for example breakfast tokens and room service/ restaurant QR codes, was also slow however for the rest of our stay we received great service. T.V. doesn't offer much. Having tea with milk available 24/7 would be a bonus- Only coffee machine in room.

It's a beautiful hotel with nice rooms; very central, walking distance to many places. Finish your day in the roof-top bar—it's gorgeous! The personnel are kind and helpful. You can park in a secured parking lot within 5 minutes' walking distance for $1/hour.

Some little things / not transparent hidden charges are annoying: breakfast needs to be reserved, not enough space for all and its a'la card; while booking it said breakfast included, but when you start digging into it, it's for two people only (we're a family of 4); there is a mysterious $15/day facility charge with a half a page instruction how you can use it by buying overpriced water and chocolate bars - very confusing; 65$ a night for parking ... a public parking costs you 12-13$ a night within 5 min walking distance, etc. The hotel people are very friendly and helpful, which makes it easy to manage.

The room itself was beautiful. We had a room on a high floor so the view was amazing. We could see the ocean and Petco park. The staff were also excellent. More than happy to assist and answer any questions. Even though they don't offer a buffet breakfast, the portion size and quality of the breakfast offered was exceptional

One tiny thing is I wish they would've made a note of our room number when going for breakfast instead of having to present vouchers. There was one occasion we were lost them in the room and it took us a while to find them

The surrounding areas was under construction so there was a lot of noise. They started to drill at 7am. Otherwise, if i wasn’t so tired and being able to sleep through some of the noise, I would have move. Otherwise, the employees were very nice and helpful, so that made up for that. Free breakfast was very nice, however, we pick a time that was very busy. A couple of the employees were confused and didn’t act professional. But the food was good and warm. That made up for the wait that we had for our food. I don’t understand the problem of getting change for my cash. Is that something new? I had to ask the valet for change. Anyway, we still had a very nice time. The bar and the restaurant on the top floor was very nice and you could see everything. Thank you.

Construction around the building

This hotel is in walking distance to the convention center and convenient to a grocery, drug store and Gas Lamp Quarter restaurants.

If you go during baseball season, you may be able to see the stadium from your room and you can certainly hear the excitement. This is fine for me, but the concert in the stadium one night - not so much.

The staff were very rude. We were told that each room can take up to two water bottles from the fridge. Later after we returned to our hotel room (after entering our hotel cards to enter the hotel lobby) we went towards the fridge to take the two bottles and this woman in the front desk with a very rude manner told us that she thought we were stealing and yelled at us saying that we need to go to her to show her the water bottles. This was not stated by the woman who checked us in and at the end they ended up charging us for the waters:)

The cleanness of the bedroom and restroom was very nice. The TV channels were really disappointing. The cheapest cable subscription, I’m embarrassed for you. Below any high end hotel’s I’ve ever stayed at. You need to rethink your budget for Room Entertainment. This cheapens your value. When people come back to their room after a busy & stressful day, they ant to shower, and turn the TV on, find something that helps you relax, but your hotel has a sub- standard TV menu, it really pisses you off!
