The location was really good as it was near all the restaurants and pubs and also a short walk to the bay area/marina. The room was great, no complaints there, just thought there could be more amenities (slippers). I did not use the pool due to the weather (cold).

Just the view from my room, nothing to see really from that side. Also I think for this level hotel there could be slippers in the room. No option of breakfast like buffet or so to be included in the rate. During check-in a value of USD 450 was blocked on my card (150 per day) as a deposit for eventuals but a further USD 200 had already been charged before my arrival, so I ended up with USD 650 blocked on my card for a while!

Location was very convenient for an Angels game (4 min walk) and great location to at the end of the Gaslamp District. We just parked the. And and walk everywhere. (15-18 min) walk to Seaport Village.

Check-In staff was not as professional and gave misinformation about the parking and that the elevators needing your room card to be scanned in the elevator in order to use the elevator. Ask the valet staff about the self park parking garage around the corner is much cheaper.

- Pool and jacuzzi are very nice. Jacuzzi is large and easily fits 8+ people. Unheated pool actually wasn't as cold as I expected in February - Staff are super friendly - Can get microwave sent to your room for free if needed, and got free plastic utensils from attached restaurant - Beds and pillows VERY comfortable - Elevators are very fast - Daily room cleaning is quite thorough - Very quiet - Room temperature control (both heat and AC) works very well - Keurig coffee in the room is actually surprisingly good - No-contact check-out

- Parking is $65/night unless you find an off-premises option (we got lucky with street parking) - WiFi has a 4 device limit which is dumb since double-bed rooms sleep 4 people. I also had to re-login to the WiFi portal after 24 hours which was annoying. - No breakfast - A nightlight near room entrance would be nice when you're stumbling through the dark to the bathroom in the middle of the night - There's a 1cm gap in the bathroom window which leaks a lot of noise into the room - I texted my “personal concierge” about parking and they didn’t respond, making the “personal concierge” thing seem like a gimmick - Key cards get magnetized easily if you place them next to your phone, and you have to go to front desk to replace them - $300 security deposit. Quite steep

Loved everything about this property. The location was fantastic, the rooms were great, quiet air conditioning, comfortable beds. Staff was fantastic. Service was exceptional with convenient dedicated texting concierge with quick response. They even brought us a microwave when I called in to ask if our room had one. Cruising bikes available with a $300 deposit. The whole place smelled really good upon entry. Having Nobu, Starbucks and the old spaghetti factory at its base was perfect with lots of other great restaurants up the street. Also has its own little diner and bar. In short walking distance to the beautiful pier and not too far from the midway and famous kissing sculpture “unconditional Surrender”. This was my first time staying at a Hardrock and I look forward to staying at many more. Highly recommend.

The coffee was not great, both in what was there in the room and through room service. There is a pool party 21+ on Saturdays 12-6 which can limit some of its use if that’s important to you.

Room 1124, an amazing view of Petco Park! It was a "guys" weekend; my friends flying in from Phoenix, me flying in from the Bay Area to attend Saturday's Padres v. SF Giants baseball game. Check in time was reasonable, and the Hard Rock was specifically chosen for it's location to the park and the walking options in the Gaslamp District after the game. Check out was the next morning, today, Sunday.

The room was accommodating.... it had a great view of Petco Park, was within walking distance of many eateries and bars. The room itself had 2 nice beds with the right amount of softness. The restroom and shower were very nice. Everything was clean. IF there was any complaint at all, it felt like the room a/c could've been just a bit cooler (because San Diego was unusually warm yesterday).

The water is the bathroom was extremely hot. Difficult to manage. Very loud on floors at night. Understand it's a party hotel but not on the sleep floors.

The hotel was great...love the location and the staff helped us out get our room earlier than the check in time.

They don't have a restaurant that serves comfort food. They only have a breakfast restaurant which is open from 7am to 3pm and an expensive Japanese restaurant. They don't have anything that serves burgers, pizza, chicken plates, salads, etc...As for the rooms, they're very chic and clean with comfortable beds, however, the beds real low to the ground which makes it hard to get up from.

Bedroom were amazing and so clean. The Pool area was devine. The Pool Party was fun. Loved the little cakes served at reception areas as we waited in lobby.

Change the Chef in Mary Jane's. Quicker service in the hotel Bar. Main thing to have the bar open at the pool when the pool is open. More rooms with a bath would be nice.

Decided on a whim to celebrate a birthday in San Diego, in the airport lounge on the way down there, especially the Gaslamp Quarter. We booked an hour before we arrived. Our stay was fun! Our room overlooked the pool area where the party was happening. The hotel is within walking distance to everything in the Gaslamp, and transportation to anywhere in the San Diego area from there is 15-30 minutes away. The hotel vibe is definitely fun!

The location close to SD Padres stadium also the Gas Lamp district. Very nice rooms.

The only thing that I did not like are the toiletries in the room. I'm used to hotels that have the wall units that have more of the lotion, shower gel, and shampoo, conditioners. Im suggesting that it works well and not those tiny room ones especially when you need more than those tiny tubes.
