Location, service, bedroom

Breakfast, I was in a trip going through several hotels and the breakfast from this hotel was by far the worst leading me to eat outside paying extra in the final day. Also, and the most difficult to understand was the fact that, during that week in January it was extremely cold and they were leaving the tables in an open space literally at 4⁰ C/ 37⁰F with de doors open, for two days I had to close the door for us and the other guests and we had to find someone to ask to turn on the heaters. Shame sine the hotel is amazing, maybe don't pay with BF included and eat on the coffeshop nearby.

Great location close to a fabulous little outdoor restaurant around the corner and its own elegant one inside with just a block or so away from the main strip shopping core. In walking distance to the San Diego Contemporary Art Gallery and perfect distance for a stroll down to the shore. Waffles and coffee delicious and good quality. Comfortable nice rooms and spotless.

Overall no complaints. We all loved it and would stay here again. If I had to be picky it didn’t have a pool and I wish they had fresh baked items vs defrosted…

The room was spacious and clean, we stayed as a family of 3 and had a great time. The staff we interacted with were great, friendly, polite and helpful. There was a huge choice at breakfast for 2 adults and a fussy child, overall a really great stay and a lovely hotel. We didn't use the restaurant downstairs mostly because we're vegetarian but did find a great vegan cafe just down the block for dinner.

Nothing at all to fault at the hotel, it was really great. I do wish I'd researched a bit more on the area- we were mostly sightseeing with a child but were quite a journey from the zoo and other locations we wanted to go to so a lot of our day was taken up with public transport (with a stop 2 blocks over this was easy enough though). Close to the cove and children's pool we got to enjoy a lot of la Jolla wildlife which made up for it, but I would probably choose somewhere more central if travelling with the aim of seeing the city and entertaining children. I appreciate this is not any fault of the hotel though and completely down to my own research, just a mention for anyone else in a similar situation to us.

The location was the best, you could walk to everything. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was an added surprise. I also left some items in the room and they are shipping them back to me.

The selection of hot food at the breakfast could have been expanded a bit but overall great.

We loved the location (very convenient - we could walk everywhere), the room was super comfortable (loved the bed and pillows, had a table with two chairs, had small fridge and safe, lighted mirror in bathroom). I liked the plantation window shutters (instead of hotel curtains). The staff was efficient, courteous, and available. We will definitely stay here again when in La Jolla. The breakfast was adequate and convenient.

A Resort Fee was implemented recently. We feel that is arbitrary and a negative. We prefer hotel charges to be explicit.

Convenient, safe area, man at front desk made good suggestions on places to eat, coffee houses, best deal on tickets to zoo.

Not enough fruit or whole grains on breakfast buffet. I prefer dark roast coffee. Rooms were a little noisy, and too bright. Light leaks under hall door, also bathroom door. Valet parking was cumbersome, fortunately I found street parking.

Same thing every morning. It was ok.

Better breakfast selections. More attention to the tables being cleaned off. Orange juice was very watered down. Parking garage was difficult to get into, my QR code would not scan. the first day. Instructions were hard to understand. (Especially for Sr. citizens!)

The location was amazing, just steps from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and quickly fixed a minor AC issue in our room, which I really appreciated.

The hallways and breakfast area got very warm, which made it a little uncomfortable at times.

Slept great! Comfortable bed, quiet and well maintained, available washer and dryer, valet parking.

Breakfast was pretty bad. Never thought a hotel at this price point would use reconstituted eggs. Luckily, they were hard, boiled eggs, and oatmeal. And great restaurants nearby..
