Lovely little apartments/hotel in an unbeatable location, 5 min walking from La Jolla shores beach, in a quiet neighborhood. Staff very accommodating, lovely little pool and outdoor area where we barbecued and ate for 2 nights. The apartment was very clean, a bit basic but had all we needed. It was extremely hot inside and even with windows open we could not cook it down, even if outside at night it was cool. I think air conditioning would be best. Just some small fixes would have made it perfect, we did not have time to tell the management: ceiling fan in room was broken, there were floor fans but extremely noisy; the pull out sofa was quite uncomfortable because it was tilted. My 10 year old son slept in it and kept on sliding down, an adult could not have slept in it. Other than that excellent stay in wonderful location would stay again.

As stated above small things that could have been easily fixed.

My husband and I went on a trio to San Diego for our anniversary. We stayed 2 nights at La Jolla Riviera and then 2 more nights at a hotel downtown. Staying at La Jolla Riviera was a great experience from the minute we walked in- spacious living room, bedroom and kitchen. We did our check-in after hours and it was easy to navigate instructions through emails that we got. It was a little apartment! There's a lot of great restaurants around for a great breakfast or dinner, with a 5min walk to them and to the beach. La Jolla area is just beautiful. I would stay there again. They offer paid parking, but there's lots of free street parking around the hotel.

The heater and the bathroom fan didn't work, but that was minor for us.

The inn is welcoming and beautifully maintained. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we wanted, including a nice view. The neighborhood is quiet, especially considering how close it is to the beach. Good for walking.

No reflection on the quality of the inn, and we never know what kind of weather we'll l have on the coast, but it usually turns out to be a mix. This trip of 3 days was nothing but fog, one day extremely dense fog. It did have a ghostly beauty, just lasted too long. Also, not surprisingly, driving even short distances could be challenging.

Checked in after hours and although the reception was closed, there was a box with our key in to allow us to get into the unit. Unit was ground floor apartment style with separate bedroom, living area, bathroom, kitchen and was very spacious. Bed was comfortable with extra towels and blankets, and an ironing board + iron in the closet. Room includes cable TV and movies on demand. Although they offer paid off-street parking, we had zero problem finding on-street parking right outside the place, in view of our living room. Location is fabulous and quiet - five minute's walk to nearby restaurants, bars, and the beach. Great starting point for coast walk hike up to La Jolla Village (main town centre). Kitchen was adequately supplied with cutlery, crockery, glassware, and sufficient implements to make a simple meal. Coffee make in the kitchen was handy as they also provide free coffee. The place has a nice pool (didn't try) and laundry on site (coins or on-line payment). The Concierge is on-site in the day and was super helpful in offering suggestions of places to visit and where to find items for purchase. Location is c. 10 minutes drive to a big Ralphs store and Trader Joe's. We visited San Diego a couple of times and were able to drive to the Old Town and park on the street for free then take the tram into town from there.

Soundproofing was not so hot. We could clearly hear our neighbours getting ready in the mornings. The fixtures in the kitchen were a bit tired and could do with a remodel.

Close to La Jolla Beach. Quiet and comfortable apartment. Very friendly host.

Just a short walk to the very nice and long La Jolla beach, great for a morning or evening walk. Room was spacious, our sofa could use some love as it was a pullout and not that great to sit on. Kitchen was equipped well for anything you might need to cook. Bathroom was nice and a hot strong shower. Bed was comfortable and noise at night was very low from outside, so good sleeping. Great view from our room across towards the tennis club and far distance ocean. La Jolla Cove (with a ton of sea lions and seals and birds) was maybe 15 minute walk along a nice coastal trail, don't bother driving to it, just walk!

Everything was pretty solid.

Clean, quiet, conveniently located. Walking distance to expansive beach and to a pedestrianized street with many good restaurants. Staff helpful. You have an apartment, with a full kitchen, dining room, and living room, furnished in mid-century modern. Very pleasant. And, a pool, though we didn't use it in January. A short drive from downtown La Jolla, La Jolla Cove, and the Art Museum. Very good value.

Had the pool to ourselves which was magic. Apartment was a great size and had everything we needed. Quiet street but 3 minutes walk to bars and shops. On street parking was ideal as they charge extra to park on the property - odd! Had to do out of hours check in and out so missed our host but when we broke a bowl the cleaner was so helpful and friendly.

Loved the location - very safe and quiet neighborhood without a lot of tourists. Easy to walk to the beach and the cute little village. Perfect location to explore LaJolla Village and Torrey Pines. Manager on site was so friendly. Not a newer hotel but clean and well maintained. The living area was bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise.

Pluses: Having a kitchen was fantastic. It was close to a great area for beach and restaurants. Debbie was so friendly.

Minuses (but only slight) It had a slight smell of mold or something, which caused allergies in my girls. A couple places, like top of fridge were dirty, but everything else was clean.
