After a long day of driving, this was a great idea to book a room in Hitching Post Studios Inn. We have never stayed in a motel before, and this was a very positive expirience. The check in was fast and straightforward. The room was spacious, bathroom newly renovated, bed large and super comfortable. It's only a 10 min drive to the boardwalk.

The only downside is that you have to ask for the kitchenware (even for cups and cutlery). We only wanted to make coffee, and while there are paper cups provided, there are no teaspoons. We managed because we were packing in the morning and didn't want to go to the front desk just for a teaspoon.

We liked the friendly , welcoming manager, the large kitchen and full sized refrigerator that was completely separate room from the bedroom, the free parking right in front of the room, the cleanliness, the comfortable beds, nice hot showers, it was quiet, and the location was perfect. It is a good basic place to stay, nothing fancy, just our style.

We thought it was a big pricey for this property, but I guess that is Santa Cruz on the weekend.

I stayed here during a work trip because it was close to my job. After making the non refundable reservation, I told my customer where I was staying. They told me that it was a drug infested place and that to empty my truck before going there because the tweakers were going to steal everything not locked down. Of course I listened to them as I nervously wondered what I got myself into and if I had to sleep with one eye opened. I was pleasantly surprised to find the place clean and quiet. The parking lot had been resurfaced and had respectable vehicles parked in the lot. The office manager was pleasant and had all his teeth. The room was nice and updated and the bed was comfortable. To be honest, I only woke up once during the night to look out the window to find that my ladders were still on my truck and there were no tweakers or junkies in sight. This place was away different than what was described to me. It is clean, quiet, and safe. The management did a good job of cleaning this place up and getting rid of the negative elements. I left early the next morning. All my tools were still in my truck and unmolested. This is a decent place to stay at and I would stay here again if my travels bring me back here.

I liked that we got two beds even though I just needed one which I’m glad we did because we have a 1 year an half old an she tends to take up the bed so we wouldn’t fit on one. It was pretty basic and simple had a desk and chair shocking we didn’t need but came in handy for a little dinner type table so it works. Tv was wonderful. Bathroom blew me away very large like an yet small. Our bathroom/ kitchen was together but worked great because they have a sliding door to the bathroom and plus kitchen so I was able to keep it close an keep our child out of the bathroom an getting into things very useful. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has kids that are under 5 definitely child proof. Also very convenient for an elder person they have handles near toilets and at shower etc to help them get off the toilet or hold their selfs up. Only got photo of shower part of bathroom couldn’t help it. I really love it had to share with my fam lol

Only thing I notice microwave was dirty i don’t know if it’s from age or stains on the bottom, etc. I only used it to warm up milk didn’t do any harm to my item so it worked

Location was convenient off the highway and there was a grocery store nearby as well as a few restaurants. The room itself had been updated with full sized kitchen appliances. The bed was comfortable. The shower was large with plenty of hot water.

It was nice to have the kitchen but you needed to check out kitchen supplies for $5, otherwise kitchen is completely empty - no silverware, cups, etc.

The staff was very kind and welcoming. The front desk attendant who helped us check in had a very friendly demeanor. He also gave us a small goody bag of snacks, which was appreciated. The room itself was a little bit quirky with a separate kitchenette. While we didn’t do any cooking during our stay, it was a nice amenity.

The bathroom door was warped due to water damage and once it was closed you would have to pry extremely hard in order to get it back open. The bathroom door for 114 should be replaced. The wifi also wasn’t the best, and we frequently just used cellular data since it was faster.

The service was good. The location was reasonably quiet. The room was nice. The heater worked well. I got a good night's rest, and was able to take a nice hot shower.

If you're driving a larger size car, SUV, or mid-size truck getting around the facilities parking lot can be a concern given the narrow lanes. Just have to be careful and not cut the corners sharply.

The owner of this motel was very friendly and accommodating. The location was not too far from the Boardwalk and the rooms were clean and quiet.

The motel is old, but kept up well. There was no clock in our room and there was only one chair and no table to sit at. Also, no swimming pool for guests.

The units are fantastic. We've stayed twice so far. Once for almost a week and then shahin this week. Beds are comfy and the shower feels great! The staff is top notch. Treat your maid well. Leave her a tip! Strip your own bedding and pile them with your towels. Mak her day s little easier. We will 10/10 Make this our regular place.

I like everything just the way it is!

Midtown location. Everything we wanted to see or do was within 10-15 minutes. King room with kitchen. Very clean. Excellent service and friendly staff and owner. The kitchen isn’t stocked but front desk provides everything you need upon request. I would stay there again.
