Overall, very quiet, pleasant and the staff were great when we saw them.
One morning, we woke up to a very loud argument In the hallway, slamming doors, cussing, and fear by the women involved that she was going to get hurt. They went outside and continued to yell and scream at each other, cussing and one of the people got in a white truck and peeled out down the street. Wanted to call the police but don't think Victor has police? It was just bad and ruined our morning. Would have liked the restaurant to be more available. Sent an email as we needed more toilet paper, cups and coffee and never got a response so I went and took a roll of toilet paper , some coffee and cups from another room.

This isn't our first time staying in this hotel. The reason we stay is the History and beauty of the hotel. The typical quietness away from the bigger crowds. We love the elevator and the unique details of each room.
The only thing is that the light coming from the windows in the mornings we were up so late due to the noise of the bar next door which is not a big deal but at 5 am when the sun is shinning directly in your face you have no option but to get up. It would be great if there were an option to close a curtain especially when the blinds were broken. So that we could get more than 5 hours of sleep when it was supposed to be a vacation but we will just bring sleeping masks with us next time.

Never saw a hotel clerk or manger the two days there. Some of the reviews I have read talk about ghosts and noise never saw a one or herd anything out of the ordinary. The hotel is old. All the rooms have radiant heaters, which is heated with water to provide heat to each room. The tapping people have talked about is expansion and contraction of metal when water starts to radiant through them normal creeks and pops of the hotel. Room was very nice. Peaceful sleep was in a king room, and the bed was very comfortable. On place to have breakfast in town Cripple Creek is the closest 7 miles away. No place for dinner after 6 pm except for pizza place across the street very good pizza. Aacade games for not much else nice bar next to hotel

The building itself is beautiful it was very clean and comfortable. Instructions were very clear on how to self check in and self-check out there was no issues at all with the hotel itself. I even thought I saw a ghost LOL
It is true there is a bar right next door and it is incredibly loud if your room is right next to the bar. That's the only complaint about the noise but it's not the hotels fault at all that's The Bar Next Door. The reading Past reviews I was aware of that situation so it was no surprise.

They stayed in connection via text. It was a virtual concierge. It is a very small town but a really cool historical hotel. It seemed like we had the whole hotel to ourselves. Being a snowstorm was hitting and was late in the season. They were even concerned about us getting there because of road closures. I chose this hotel for the adventure and the uniqueness. And that's what I got.
Honestly, not much I didn't like. It was definitely a unique experience. The only thing I was concerned about was being locked out of the lobby in the snowstorm, so we never really wanted to shut the door when we went out they have keypads on the doors and one seems like it was losing power..

This is an old, historical building and it was a lot of fun to stay there. The room was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was clean and the self-check in and out process was quick and easy. The hotel has an interesting history including serving as both a hospital and a morgue so it has a reputation for being haunted. We didn’t have anything occur when we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return.
I really don’t know what to write. The hotel is short staffed so we didn’t really interact with anyone but self check in and out worked great and the room was clean and comfortable. I don’t have any negatives.

Very clean establishment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was having a direct tv related issue the first night of our stay(no fault of the hotel) so the staff promptly set us up with a new upgraded room for the night for no additional charge. Both rooms we stayed in were very nice, clean and comfortable.
The hotel is still under some construction and the elevator was down. This did not bother us and the hotel gave me plenty of notice that the elevator was going to be down. At no point did we hear or see any construction during our stay as this was on the fourth floor and we were on the third. The restaurant was not currently open but sounds like it will be any day. If the opportunity presents itself and we are in the area we would definitely stay at the historic Victor Hotel again. I would be excited to see how it looks after the construction is finished, the elevator is running, and the restaurant is open.

I love this property! The history, architecture, rooms, and peaceful feel away from the hustle and bustle of our daily world. Comfortable, feels like home, and beautiful views in an awesome town. When the restaurant is open they have outstanding food. Awesome, kind staff or no-contact check in. We love you guys and keep coming back. We just love Victor and wish we could be there more!
That I couldn’t stay longer! What a nice break.

Amazing period hotel. When you walk through the door you walk back in time. Why stay in a plain motel when you have the chance to stay in a location steeped in history. In a gold minim town. Victor is a fascinating place to visit and the Hotel is the centerpiece of the town. Room was modern spotlessly clean and well laid out. All facilities as expected. Good sized bathroom. Good sized bed and overall very comfortable. Do yourself a favour and if ever in the area stay at the Victor hotel you will not be disappointed

I love the area and have stayed here a couple times.
The shower curtain was not clean and I found a chicken nugget and cap from lotion on the floor from previous guests. There were also dogs in the building with other guests
