The closest to the beach! We actually had some business in Sarasota Florida on Wednesday afternoon and then we had two more days without reservations for any hotel so checked availability for a walkout unit #319 we were able to get the the walkout unit for August 21 & 22 The first 5 nights we were in #217 we drove down to Sarasota. Conducted our business at a Church staying in Sarasota staying at a Hampton Inn on Wednesday We stayed 2 more nights at Belleair Beach Resort Motel Then we stayed at the Tampa airport area for an early morning flight out of Tampa to Omaha Nebraska.

It was like a smaller motel a Ma & Pa Motel if you will. It was outside of the busy Clearwater Beach to the north and was west of Largo in a residential area with absolutely nothing but houses and condos. The area did not have a place to buy any kind of snack or drink. I think that the lobby had enough area for a very very small general store. That would have been a great for convenience for the quest.

This motel was in a quiet uncrowded area. The room was exceptionally clean and roomy. The kitchenette had everything that we needed. As the motel did not have many rooms, the area was not crowded and easy to get a beach chair/lounger.

We keep having issues with our key cards even when kept in my RFID wallet. We did not have stored right beside our phones and kept them in the paper sleeves provided. I've never had issues with other cards from other hotels stored in the cash area of my RFID wallet. It was difficult to get over the dunes to the beach by someone with mobility issues.

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood right on the Gulf. We loved the cushioned lounge chairs on the wooden deck so we didn't have to walk in the sand if we didn't want to. The pool is excellent. The beach is beautiful, and the room was cozy. The beds were great. Loved having a kitchenette in the room for quick snacks or meals. The staff was clear on everything we needed to know about the property. We'll definitely go back for another stay.

It's an older motel - which is fine with me. This is not so much a negative as a "be aware". There was a small thing that needed fixing. We mentioned it to the staff they were on top of it.

Location was amazing! Kathy was very friendly and gave great suggestions about the area. We walked out the door and were just steps to the beach! The beach was never crowded and the motel had a foot shower to wash off the sand. We loved having a separate bedroom and living room & kitchen, it was more like a small 1br apartment. This is an older place but well kept and very clean. The location was fabulous and short drive to Pier 60, Clearwater attractions, restaurants, shopping, and Tampa. If you are looking for a newer, upscale, place to stay, this may not be for you, but we loved it! I was told by a local worker at Publix that it's one of the best smaller resorts in town it's the 1960's on a stick...I couldn't agree more! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. They also have an outdoor pool that we didn't use because we were at the beach or site-seeing.

The only thing I thought could be better is possibly another shelf in the bathroom. It's a single vanity with not much room for toiletries, but it did have small glass shelf that was very helpful, but maybe 1 more above that one would be great. Otherwise, I can't really think of anything else they could do better.

If you’re looking for beachfront luxury, this isn’t it. However, if you’re wanting a quaint and comfortable old Florida feel, this is it. Property is old, but clean and has a perfect beachfront location! Room was good sized and had a large tv, with fridge, microwave, small dining table and 2 sitting chairs. Beds were a bit noisy, but soft and comfortable. The property has good shopping and restaurant choices within a short drive. We will definitely book again for future trips to this area.

Some guests were noisy and it’s easily heard with the hotel layout.

For the price it was exceptional. It sits right on the ocean. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. No iron in room but one was provided on request. No hair dryer but we carried our own. These are not bad items just to let people know to carry iron and hair dryer. The staff was nice and efficient. My friends and I were exceptionally impressed to the rooms, cleanliness, size of bathroom, amenities etc. I definitely would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

The ice machine is in the office and office closes at 8 p.m. and opens at 10 a.m. so getting ice at night is a little inconvenient but nothing to deter from booking this hotel.

Right on the beach, extremely nice private beach area. Plenty of chairs/lounges to enjoy the beach, sunsets, etc. Pool was nice, but it is a saltwater pool, which was stated on their website. The staff at the front desk was very friendly.

I thought the rooms faced the gulf, only about 6 actually do. Ours did not, I would’ve requested that had I known. The resort is a little dated, but we’ll kept and clean. Parking lot very cramped when the resort is near full.

Really liked the natural beachfront location, somewhat off the beaten path, but only had an overnight there on-route. Might stay longer in the future to spend more time at it. Large room with a partial ocean view was somewhat sandy, but it is on a beach!

Had a problem with the room door lock. We were warned about the keys being delicate, and tried to be careful, but still found after a while none of them would work. Got another, but worried about it from then on, especially as the office closes fairly early, and we didn't have a solution if it happened again. Must be something better possible. Another place gave us an extra key to leave in our car in case the keys got lost or stopped working, maybe that would help. Not sure if it only affects some rooms?

Unique location, as one of the very few motels at Gulf Blvd/Belleair Beach, which is directly situated at the beach; 1 free parking/room; kitchen w toaster, coffee machine etc.; appropriate furniture, lot of towels; nice pool; quiet; friendly owner/manager. Nice restaurants and food stores within 3-5 mi; only 8 mi to Clearwater Beach.

Room not fixed everey day, but ok regarding climate protection; lobby closed after 8 pm, therefore late arrivals to be announced.
