The reception area was very welcoming and staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area and beach were great. Very well organised and the staff were very helpful. Appreciated the complimentary suncream!

The room was nice however our room could have done with some maintenance. The shower door didn’t shut properly and the wardrobe drawers were low quality and difficult to open and shut. 2 bottles of water were left on the side - I find water bottles left in the room are normally complimentary in hotels, especially with the cost per night, however these had a small tag on saying they were $7.50 per bottle!! Near miss.

Location and nice quality feel

I asked for a break down invoice of extra costs on departure. They said there wasn’t any? I said there was as I’d parked, had some drinks, resort fees etc. reception insisted there wasn’t any extra charges as it all paid? 3 days later money was taken from my card. I have no invoice to check if it was correct and know if I have been charged correctly.

I love the location & also the grand look of the hotel as you coming up. It really made you feel like you were on vacation.

Some things in my room looked a little outdated as far as furniture and I’m not sure what would you call where the tv was located. But the mini bar area was a little disappointing from that standpoint. My fridge wasn’t cool/cold at all and again that part of the room seems a little outdated for the type of money you spend. Other than that I have no further complaints or dislike

The pool area was wonderful The room was decent and with basic amenities, but i was happy enough location was fantastic

The checkout extension was very poor. For 4 hour extension a full day charge is really not such a great idea. They disconnected my wifi the moment i checked out (gave a poor feeling) though i could use some of the facilities till i left the hotel at 5 pm.

My wife and I loved the atmosphere. Very open and easy to get around. The staff was very engaged and inviting. Thus trip was kind of a trial being that I have booked 6 rooms for my family on Aug 15 through the 17th. This is a stay before we go on a cruise. My wife and I love it.

There are many amenities that would do better to explain to visitors so they know which ones are an expense and which ones aren't. My wife and I caught ourselves doing research while there. Just a thought. I know there is a lot but in making trips to the concierge we noticed many people stepping to them asking the same questions we had.

Can not beat the location, right on the beach and sandwiched between Espanola Way and Lincoln Road. Was able to use the minibar fridge without being charged for moving items. Elevators were very fast. Little coffee shop in lobby area was perfect for grabbing a quick, relatively decent priced breakfast.

Housekeeping was very loud in the hallway starting at 8am. Only one hook in the room and we were constantly having to hang towels and bathing suits on the chairs. Key cards stopped working midway through our stay and we were locked out until we could get new ones. Fire alarms were going off because of construction for one morning.

I loved that this was the most family-oriented hotel I’ve stayed at in South Beach. I’ve been to plenty of hotels in the area, but this was the first one that truly made parents traveling with kids feel considered. They had a wonderful staff member who kept the kids engaged with fun poolside activities, which was such a thoughtful touch. There was even a movie night (8-22) that my child absolutely loved! The gentleman hosting the event was incredibly pleasant and went out of his way to make sure both kids and parents knew about all the free perks available. Overall, it made our stay feel effortless and enjoyable. I’d definitely come back here again whenever I’m traveling with my little one.

Wish I didn’t have to walk all the way around just to get to the gym. But what the heck, I was going to workout anyway!

Location! The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Amazing food. Great staff.

Cleanness. Seems like floors are not being cleaned at all - neither during your stay nor between guests. This is a big NO for a hotel that positioned as a luxury one. Noise. Late returners talking loudly is probably an issue for most hotels, but in Loews you'll also be hearing noises from adjacent rooms. We were unlucky to have neighbors that loved talking on the phone and watching TV at 4 am :(

Great location for the art deco area, nice and smart and decent bar area and food. Lovely entrance and pool area and access to the beach. Efficient check in. A few areas to improve on the bar lots of fingers in the cocktails with the additional fruit decor, using tongs would be much more hygienic and straws not covered adds a touch of luxury more in keeping with the hotel. Bathroom didn’t have sufficient hanging areas for towels and mirror hanging off the wall. No where other than window shelf.

Beautiful grounds; lovely and spacious swimming pool; excellent breakfast; friendly and pleasant staff; ideal location.

Some of the features in a room can use an update (ie the tub, the rug); the hotel is prone to nickel-and-diming you (for example, for a room with 4 guests, you can get a bed-and-breakfast package for only 2 of them; the hotel offers a s’mores experience, but it costs $18 to make a single (!) s’more; the hotel umbrellas are free by the pool, but not by the beach, etc); the hotel can invest in nicer toiletries; and this is silly, but still — our room only had one trash can, which we ended up carrying from the bedroom to the bathroom and back.
