Good position on Universal Boulevard.

Prices in bar and shop are shockingly high. There was a propane gas explosion which the tank hit the seventh floor of hotel , shattered windows and blew the building which the tank was in to bits. Fire, police and ambulance there but hotel staff did not care or check any guests. So lucky no one died.

I loved the location and the staff at this property. They were very kind and helpful. Best Western Gateway is located less than 15 minutes from Sea World, Aquatica, Universal Studios, and more. Multiple restaurants and attractions are in walking distance. Only a 20 minute drive downtown and to the airport.

The breakfast was not worth $15. It is the exact same type of breakfast that you get complimentary at other hotels. The air conditioners weren’t that strong and the bathrooms can be remodeled. The televisions should be bigger and upgraded to stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. when trying to relax after all the park activity.

The location was excellent as we wanted a close proximity to the Universal parks. 10/10 for this. Staff were all great, special mention for Rachel (restaurant hostess) & Maria receptionist; for their welcome and all round service. Diego the chef was very accommodating with our breakfast egg requests. The availability for a room upgrade was most welcome.

The room was positioned at Aircon level of the lower floors (4th floor suite); so they were quite annoying ( I know this can't be helped); but they were noisy when trying to fall asleep.

Room was nice and quite and location of hotel was fantastic.

Location of hotel fantastic to link with everywhere, hotel was nice as well.

Fast front desk service, staff was wonderful and friendly, room was neat and clean.

The only thing is that I needed to dry my cloths and someone left cloths in three dryer machine for more than 2 hrs. My husband ask at the front desk and they say they couldn’t do anything about it, they should but a sign up in the laundry room that says, don’t leave cloths unattended in washer or drying machine, cause it would be removed once is done cause other quests need to use washer and dryer machines also. I would return for February, so I hope that I would see those signs up. Thank you.

We travel to Orlando a lot and have stayed in many different hotels. Best Western was very clean, comfortable, and close to area attractions. What really stood out to us was the staff. You will never find a more friendly or helpful staff anywhere else!! From Avo at check-in to the amazingly friendly, personable, and polite staff in the restaurant! Absolutely incredible!!

Toilets are VERY low to the floor, the walls were kind of thin. We could hear the neighbors next door to us chatting (thank goodness that's all they were doing because that would have been awkward 😳). Still wouldn't hinder us from staying there again!

This is my go-to hotel whenever I want to do a quick trip to Universal. Whether solo or with my significant other, we like to stay here. This time, i stayed by myself. The room was spacious and clean, and the location is superb. Less than 5 minutes away from Universal Orlando Resort. Checking-in no matter the time, was quick and painless as was check-out.

It is not a luxurious place by any means, but it is nice and nothing this trip stood out to me negatively.

I just wanted to say for the price I paid for this hotel it was an excellent experience. For starters the front desk gentleman named Ivo was spectacular from helping me with any problems or concerns I have to showing me around and making my stay here easy and enjoyable. He was attentive and straight forward and always made sure I had enough towels, and any other amenities. All the other staff as well did wonderful job and it’s a 100 percent I’m definitely coming back here to stay and will recommend to others to stay here.

It is a good hotel. The lower price sometimes confuse us before booking however it exceeds in facilities to its price tag. Location is great as everything, activities, universal parks, sea world and other parks are very very close. Even premium outlet mall is just 4 minutes away. We asked for a ground floor pool facing room and they accommodated with pleasure. That way you can move out or within the hotel comfortably. However in the hotel, everything is easy and near to access. Front desk people are all helpful and courteous. The mini shop has everything you need and the guys there helpful as well. There is plenty of shaded room near the pool with chairs and tables and we usually use that area to sit and enjoy. Pool and jacuzzi are excellent and usually less crowded so you enjoy.

The breakfast policy was a little confusing. They issued us free vouchers as already booked it included in the price. They asked us to keep to vouchers and if we lose them then no replacement will be issued. When you enter the restaurant, the guys announce the details which is quite strange because everyone knows the buffet breakfasts. Moreover, they strictly prohibit to take food to room from breakfast menu. Even if someone is sick and ready to pay, they don’t let us take even a single thing to room or out. That was quite strange for us because usually hotel even provide bags to take food from buffet breakfast.

Great location if you’re going to Universal Studios. Staff was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Pool hours are good. Room was very clean and provided everything we needed/expected. Air conditioner/heater worked well & quickly cooled down/warmed up the room as we needed. Parking lot is huge. There are plenty of non-universal attractions & restaurants within short distances from the hotel. (We 100% recommend Gator Golf!) IMO, great value for the price we paid.

The hallways look a bit run down, and they’ve attempted to hide the age of the hotel under coats of new paint. The toilet in our room usually took three flushes to flush completely. Any movement from the guests staying in the room above us reverberated loudly in our room. Hotel is a bit far from Disney World.
