Clean and neat. Friendly staff.

I am from out of state so when I read South Tampa Hotel and suites, I was expecting a hotel, but it was actually more of a motel. It was clean and neat both the property and the room but like I said, when you advertise as hotel and suites it wasn’t. I have to say that the price, when I went to pay, surprised me. Very very reasonable. I was only there one night, but I would stay there again if I needed to stay in that area .

Excellent motel - great price. Room was nicely decorated and extremely clean. The front desk were very helpful and the nice gentleman in the breakfast area was very accommodating even though we had missed the breakfast window. The pool area is a nice addition and parking is perfect. Room was very quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast pancakes and coffee were great as was the bar/restaurant just nearby on the other side of the street. Make sure to take a photo with the giant deckchair before you leave! Highly recommended.

We arrived early since we got off the cruise ship and had no other place to go at the time with all of our luggage. They were so nice that they kept our luggage locked up until our room was ready. We went shopping till they called and said the room was ready, and when we got back, they helped us out. The room was clean and tidy. We really appreciate them helping us out holding our luggage and letting us into the room early.

The place is really not that close to other places to walk to eat or to shop. We did walk to a shopping area about 10 minutes or so away, but that was still kinda far in the heat.

This was an older Hotel, however they have done everything possible to make it updated and fresh! Actually was BETTER Than a newer Hotel that doesn't care about the guest. It was clean, the property was well kept, the Staff was pleasant and kind (even with a Language barrier) we managed to speak with no problem what so ever ! One of the very kind cleaning Ladies had me talk into her phone so we truly understood each other! It did not make me feel awkward, only made me feel as if she really wanted to take care of what I needed !!! All with a kind, polite smile 😃!!! The Pool was beautiful! Parking was great ( I even had a trailer with me ) Breakfast was better than most,with a good selection. The Breakfast attendant was kind and seemed to try to make sure things were restocked as needed. The Neighborhood felt safe and I Even took a stroll to the Local gas station mini market to get something to drink. I even commented on the Local Gas station mini market. I have NEVER seen a cleaner store in my life !! It was spotless ! I have stayed in Hotels for years as I have been traveling for work. I rarely see places "try" this hard to make it comfortable and up to date. Even the toilet paper was embossed 🥰 Great job to everyone 👏 👍 If I come back to Tampa, That's exactly where I'd like to stay.

Rooms are super clean, I've not stayed in a room this clean for this price point in a long time. Pool is open 8AM-10PM and is somewhat heated so the water feels great any time of the day. Well lit parking lot that feels safe to sit out and enjoy the Tampa weather. Very close to the airport AND the cruise port. Uber was only $15 from airport and $10 to cruise port. Within walking distance to Publix, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, Circle k, Shell, and other gas stations/stores for snacks, drinks, and cigarettes, and within walking distance of a few different restaurants. Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Allowed us an early check in and proactively came by our room to make sure we had enough towels/pillows/and blankets. Unlike some "motels" this does not have anyone living here permanently, only overnight or weekly guests on vacations. There's no loud music, arguing, or police sirens like at some motels. The entire place was renovated after it was bought out from Howard Johnson and the work was done really well. Breakfast was great too

Nothing. This was the best motel experience I've had and I will always book here first when in the Tampa area.

After reading local hotel reviews, we decided to spend a little extra for something nice, and we're so glad we did. Our first impression upon arrival was that the exterior looked a bit dated, but the recently remodeled rooms were a pleasant surprise. The interiors are truly lovely, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable—possibly the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a rental. I slept better here than at home! The hot breakfast was outstanding, exceeding expectations. It included omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, oatmeal, a variety of juices, coffee, milk, yogurt, muffins, and bagels. The breakfast is served from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., so an early start is necessary. It's evident that management has done an excellent job motivating their staff and hiring individuals who genuinely care about providing a great guest experience.

The customer service is fantastic everybody is so nice and so friendly and so helpful and always around which was nice I like the size of the room I love the bed so comfortable clean just a few things and I'm nitpicking but I'm very happy with what we had and the visit was very nice when we're back in the area this is the place we will stay

There's just a few little touch ups that need to be done like the door handles and around the door handles need to be wiped the headboards please please wipe the headboards down they were not good the only other problem was that when we came in it was late we went to bed but when I woke up the next morning and I got out of the bed I noticed that there was blood on the sheets and I had not noticed it last night because it was dark when we came in and late so I really wasn't happy about that . you need to upgrade the food a little bit more

Bed is comfortable, location is great, staff is very friendly. You have a desk with chair, a sitting chair, blow dryer, ironing board, coffee maker, little fridge. Price is fair and breakfast is included. There is a pool and apparently work out room. I like that they have big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion because it’s more sustainable.

3 suggestions: a curtain to provide privacy (not just the 1 you close), because you can only get daylight through that window and when it’s open, EVERYONE looks inside. Room smells a bit dusty, as well as the bed sheets. A do not disturb/ no cleaning sign. I did not want someone in my room while staying 2 nights and they did come in. This could also spare the hotel cleaning costs.

The location was near a lot of places such as eating places and shopping. It was right on the strip but not close to the water. The rooms were just right for 4 people. We were accommodated as far as a room change.from upstairs to downstairs. They have a snack area you can purchase from in the lobby and a drink machine. There was a laundry mat and ice machine and elevator in the middle of the building.

Parking was a little bit hectic, especially if you have a late arrival, but we were able to park in front of the room the next day.

Friendly and responsive staff. Excellent location. Well kept grounds and parking areas. Spacious room with the AC already chilling the room on a hot August Friday. Generous breakfast offerings. Comfortable beds. Had a wonderful nights rest. We will certainly return.

I am short and the beds were quite tall! If it weren't for the ottoman I wouldn't have been able to get into the bed by myself. But it didn't detract for the excellent value and comfortable stay. We will be back! Just might bring a step ladder... lol.😉
