Loved the pool and the location. The room was clean and had working air conditioning. Everyone was friendly and I felt safe at the Tahitian Inn. It is an older hotel, but it was still super clean, and I would come stay again. My daughter and I came for 4 days on vacation, and all are needs were met. Enjoyed the breakfast too. So close to stores, restaurants and even 30 miles from beach.

Exhaust fans in the bathroom would be helpful and need more outlets. I had a hard time using the ones that were not conveniently located in the room.

It was a good location. We needed a place close to Tampa General Hospital where my husband was scheduled for surgery. We spent a comfortable, though short, night before leaving for the hospital at 4:30AM. My husband stayed overnight at TGH, and I went back to Tahitian Inn. The following morning, I checked out and went to a dental appointment, then picked my husband up from the hospital. It worked out just fine.

Unfortunately, the hair dryer in the room was not working, and it was too late to try to get a replacement from the front desk. He improvised by drying his hair with the air conditioner. The tile floor was not terribly clean-my husband had to give the soles of his feet a good washing before we left for the hospital. We have ceramic tile floors throughout our condo, so I know it can be challenging to keep them from holding onto grime. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.

The pool area was very nice. The place is in a safe location. Our check-in lady was very pleasant and helpful and always had a smile. There is a Chick-fil-A fil-a right next and many other food options asking the whole strip. The location is about 10 mins from almost all attractions besides clear water. That was about 30 mins with traffic. The room was nice,the bed was comfortable.

The jet tub in the bathroom didn't work. The jets wouldn't turn on. A couple of days the front lobby and elevator smelt like cannabis. It is a no-smoking place so I'm not sure how it smelt that bad but it did for 2 days. The bathroom only comes with 2 small towels to use. We were there for 4 nights. We went and bought more towels from Wal-Mart. There is a microwave in the room but no silverware or plates to heat anything or eat with. I had to pay for a second parking pass as only 1 car can stay for free. But otherwise, the place is great and will be visiting there again.

The pool was fabulous. The front desk personnel were awesome. The room was clean. I liked that they had tile and not nasty old carpeting like some hotels do.

Their restaurant serves the worst food on the planet. It wasn't the hotels fault but loud landscapers woke us up at 7 am. And the next night a group of loud drunk people decided to hang out right outside our door very late at night. The elevator didn't go to our section of the hotel. It's hard to find a parking space.

The location was very convenient. Lots of food options nearby. The overall feel of the place was fantastic. Jose the front desk clerk was great in assisting us with an early check in due to wanting to check out gasparilla before the Royal Rumble. The diner there serves great food and the service was very friendly. After reading the reviews I was skeptical going into my stay but The Tahitian Inn provided us with a great stay for a great value. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re staying in Tampa stay Tahitian!

Nothing. Everything was fantastic.

The room was comfortable, everything was very clean (I only have one thing to point out: the sink should be brushed along the edge of the mesh since all the soap accumulates and creates a kind of mold and it doesn't look good), the room was tidy and smelled good. I didn't visit the restaurant, but I did look at the menu on the website and saw that the coffee was very expensive, at $6.00, so I had breakfast at another cafeteria.

My room was an Old Florida motel style where you park in front of your rooms door. The location was great for my needs. The bedroom was updated but they left historical layout which spurs your imagination and has you wondering about how times use to be. As you enter the bathroom you find an amazing time capsule with a baby blue tub and square tiles just as it was built many years ago. It was a clean example of history. With that there were some past scars from long ago cigarettes on the vanity top in the form.of slight decolorization. If you want modern perfection with every perk available it's not for you. If you want a good room at a good price or if your like me you enjoy bringing back long forgotten memories of good times and travels with your family as a kid. Although in its prime, The Tahitian Inn may have been a little out of our price range. The main build has a historical touch of grandeur. I travel with an open mind for adventure and I enjoy historical. I do travel with an air freshener and I use it whether it's needed or not to give me a feeling of consistency. So historical and newly built will smell the same as you sleep. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.

The room was big. And the food in the cafe was really good.

You can’t extend a reservation. You have to put down a new deposit each time you want to extend. They don’t accept tap for payment. And the lady with the brown hair that works in the morning is so rude. She is actually the reason I won’t ever come back. She made a scene and yelled at me when I grabbed the luggage rack and told me I wasn’t allowed to use it because my room was in the courtyard and it’s for inside rooms only. I made 3 trips with my belongings.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived very early due to travel restraints and were able to store our luggage behind the counter and use the pool facilities while we waited for our room. The restaurant food was very good. They also worked to prepare a room quickly for us. The rooms are very large and were clean.

The mattresses were quite firm. The tiki huts around the pool were missing much of the roof/straw.

The gentleman at check in was very friendly and helpful. The bed in my king suite was super comfy. I also enjoyed the balcony. Really good water pressure in the shower. Pool was a lil too cool but I expected that for this time of year.

The floors in my room needed mopped. It turned our feet black. Whoever the lady was that I spoke with in regards to our reservation wasn't friendly at all...really rude honestly. And at checkout, the female was outside on her phone for at least 10 minutes, ignoring the fact that I came in and needed assistance.
