Our stay in Athens was made even better by choosing the Holiday Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk team, and throughout our stay, the manager thoughtfully checked in with us to ensure everything was going well—a gesture that truly stood out. The rooms are exceptionally well-designed. The beds were absolutely dreamy, and we appreciated the choice of pillows tailored to different preferences. Storage was more than ample, which meant no clutter or tripping over open suitcases—a real plus! Everything was spotless and clearly well maintained. We also made use of the gym, which offered everything needed for a solid, basic workout. When booking, we had requested a room at the back of the hotel, and we were pleased with the peaceful, green outlook. The area was wonderfully quiet, with minimal road noise. We stayed in room 530. All in all, it was a genuinely pleasant experience. We’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Athens looking for comfort, convenience, and attentive service.

If we had a couple of small suggestions: The first would be to offer a few more healthy breakfast options—perhaps tubs of seeds, nuts, coconut, and raisins for a DIY muesli. As overseas guests, we’re always surprised by the widespread use of plastic cutlery and paper plates at breakfast. They’re unpleasant to use and feel like a false, wasteful economy. Why not consider employing staff to clear, wash, and replenish proper dishes and cutlery? It would greatly enhance the dining experience. Parking is $10 per day.

The location is just perfect and literally within walking distance of UGA! The Dove soap and lotion is an added plus. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was decent as well!

The parking fee. Somehow I missed this when booking. It’s $7 a night so that was a little surprising when you check a charge and it’s separate but for the same place. Lady at the desk wasn’t as friendly about explaining it either. I didn’t defensively ask about it either but just felt she could’ve explained it less aggressively.

Room and lounge areas were very clean. Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Large parking lot on premise with plenty of spaces. Great breakfast selections. 24 hr Coffee station.

Everything was great. Could use a little more lighting in the parking lot.

Nice and clean. Recently updated. Quiet hotel. Staff very friendly. Gave us our choice of which floor we'd like to be on. We were acknowledged each time we came through the lobby. Liked the 24/7 coffee in the lobby. We were within walking distance of the show we came to see at the Georgia Theater. The room was exceptionally well lit, spacious and comfortable.

Our room was too close to the ice maker. Starting at about 6am we could hear people getting ice. In future I'll remember to ask for a room far from the ice maker. One strange thing: instead of sample size shampoo/ conditioner/soap, there were pumps mounted by the sink and in the shower. This didn't affect me since we brought our own, but I would not want to use these open/ common use products.

We last minute went to a state swim meet at UGA. I impulsively booked quickly last minute through booking.com. The location was perfectly close to our event. The room and breakfast were what we expected at Holiday Inn Express which is great! The price seemed high but it was less than other places. We would definitely stay again and go to Holiday Inn Express at other locations

Parking is a little tight but expected because of location

the location is really close to the University of Georgia, walkable and easy. The rooms were big enough for 3 of us and very quiet which we liked. Beds are comfortable and new. Breakfast was great and the time frame was perfect.

Lobby, common areas, hallways, inside style of the hotel was very nice. A lot of parking available. I liked that it is so close to the UGA campus. Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and up to date in design, etc. I also liked the layout of the room. The breakfast was nice. I felt safe in the hotel.

The ladies room in the common area was not the cleanest. The floor was sticky and it was hot in there. I still felt comfortable using the facilities but it could have been shown more attention. The bathroom in the room was for the most part clean but the floors had not been cleaned. I could tell because there was hair. Everything else was up to standards though. Coffee could have been stronger that was in the common areas. I think the area surrounding the hotel is a little sketchy. I always parked in the front by the main entrance. The hotel is walking distance to the campus but because of the neighborhood, in between, I wouldn't feel safe walking there.

Overall great hotel! The staff was exceptional and very polite. Shout out to the cafeteria ladies! They were very kind and did an excellent job preparing breakfast daily. Location was close and within walking distance to the campus.

It was nice and clean. The breakfast was also really good, had a lot of protein options!

I didn’t like that the doors were heavy and would close on their own and slam loudly. It was especially annoying in the morning. I don’t know if it was like that on every floor but on the 1st floor that’s how it was.

The hotel is conveniently located near the University of Georgia. The room was good and the beds were confortable. The breakfast is simple, but it is good. The wifi worked really well.

Although the hotel is located near to UG, we felt unconfortable when walked around. There were a plenty of homeless and solicitors and we couldn't see any policing close by.
