We stayed at the iHotel and Illinois Conference Center for a college tour of UIUC. The location was great--it is located on the edge of campus. The area around the hotel was fairly quiet as it was also on the edge of town. The hotel is relatively new, it is clean and comfortable. The bar was nice and the complimentary breakfast was decent--nothing fancy but it fit our needs.

We were traveling with our 2 teenage children and booked one room with 2 queen beds. We had already been traveling for a number of days and on check-in decided that if possible we wanted to book them their own room. My husband called the front desk and was told the hotel was full. He doubted that and so went online and was able book an extra room that way. So, there was some frustration with the in-person customer service of the front desk.

I originally called on the phone and I can't remember the staff name anymore but his demeanor on the call was so inviting and he answered all my questions. I was planning a long 12 hour drive from Dallas with a small UHAUL and wanted to be sure this hotel could accommodate. He even checked the dates to see if there were any big events going on and assured me they would have enough parking. It was such a nice bonus to have dinner at the restaurant. Prices were beyond reasonable and the staff there was just as kind and helpful. It meant a lot after such a stressful move and long drive. Very happy with my experience and my dad loved the robes that were in the room!

Beautiful hotel. Very modern and well decorated. Everything looked very clean. The rooms were very clean, had plenty of outlets by the bed, was spacious, the thermostat worked great, the bathroom was clean with great shower pressure. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when we checked in. They asked if we were there to visit U of I and then gave us maps and a magazine about Champaign Urbana. They also arranged for a shuttle to take us to our appointment the next day.

The beds were not comfortable.

Breakfast was very good but over the course of 4 days it became repetitive. Perhaps some variation of eggs or something would boost ratings on Breakfast offerings. The location was perfect! The room was very clean, and the air conditioning was easy to control to our liking. Offering bikes to guests was also a really good idea!

We wished we had access to hot water in the early AM (6 AM) would be great for tea drinkers. As it was, finding hot water early in the morning was not possible. We tried using the Keurig in our room but it was messy and time consuming. Also we did not have access to a microwave but found out upon check-out that we could have asked for one to be installed in out room!

1. The hotel is in a very good location in the southern part of the University of Illinois, which is also the safer part of Champaign. My wife and I felt very safe walking around the premises. 2. The room is big and comfortable. There were also complimentary bottled waters and coffee. 3. The room comes with free breakfast, but food choices were limited. 4. Hotel stuff was really friendly and helpful.

1. The fridge in the room gave out constant buzzing sound, we had to turn it off to get rid of it. 2. Our original room was next to a machine on a nearby roof, and it was really noisy. The hotel stuff got us another room facing a different direction and the noise went away. 3. It's quite far from the northern side of campus, which is where most Engineering buildings are located. So if you going to those places, you might want to consider a different hotel.

Very cool mid century style pet friendly hotel. This was an excellent value compared to the local chain hotels.

I was disappointed with the staff at the restaurant. I entered the restaurant because I had been recommended to make a reservation being July 4th. I stood at the entrance from the hotel to the restaurant for several minutes and every employee avoided eye contact, including the bartender and several floor managers. In my opinion this is about as unprofessional as it gets in the restaurant business. Server was also poorly trained and we had to ask for silverware after our meal was served. I understand staffing shortages but not even acknowledging someone who enters your business is a poor start to an experience.

Breakfast was a continental style buffet located in the onsite restaurant. There were breakfast burritos (meat and veggie options), cereal, bagels, yogurts, and a couple of fruit options. Along with standard beverage options. Overall the breakfast meet my expectations for a free breakfast. The room we stayed in was a little small, but suited our needs for a couple nights stay. Bathroom was modern. The robes that were provided were a nice bonus. workout facility was open 24/7 that was a nice convenience.

I loved the amenities, it had a beautiful view out the window and was quite spacious! Although it isn't a need, I really do prefer it being this way and it made me feel great in the room along with having space for my belongings. The location is pretty good, and it was good for everything I needed from the hotel.

There wasn't almost anything bad at all about this hotel. The only thing I did dislike was the lack of a microwave and the fridge not being cold enough. Good nonetheless.

The breakfast was minimal but good. They had breakfast burritos, bagels and toast, boiled eggs and oatmeal. There was cereal, yogurt and a few pieces of fruit. Coffee and a few juices for beverages. There weren't a ton of options, but what we tried was pretty tasty.

We didn't have any issues and our room was well-appointed. There isn't anything I can think of that I would change.

Breakfast was good Sat and Sun, but there is not much variety. But Monday was rather bleak, there was less choice, some items were not available (it was 8:30 so maybe they were winding down?).

Room was very good, service was very good, breakfast could be improved with a bit more variety and servicing the empty items as well.
