We didn't have breakfast,; we needed to leave early morning. The location was great for visiting Springfield & our room was perfect; very clean, comfortable, and lovely furnishings. We loved the bathroom, too! Great shower, unfortunately not enough time to try the jacuzzi tub. Next time. We live in an urban setting, and the peacefulness of the room and the pretty grounds was just what we needed.

Not having a place to store our luggage before check in time. We traveled by Amtrak and needed to keep our luggage with us, not ideal.

Beautiful house and property, very clean and comfortable, classy room - great jacuzzi. High end towels, bedding and appliances. Very nice kitchenette area with some dinnerware, silverware, frig, small microwave and coffee maker.

Air conditioning was loud and too cold then when it kicked off, suddenly very silent and room warmed fairly quickly. Although property was in a neighborhood, it felt somewhat isolated, unsure of safety at the edge of downtown; seemed safe in daytime. An on-site manager or attendant would make the stay feel friendlier and more inviting. Only staff I encountered was housekeeper when I was leaving in the morning. She was very pleasant, friendly and helpful, showing me where to leave without needing to carry bags down incredibly steep overnight staircase. If you are expecting a hotel, inn or B & B experience, this is not it. No snacks, vending, etc.. Similar to renting a property through Air BnB or Vrbo.

Wow...the size! I didn't expect this much when I booked. I wish I could have stayed more than 1 night to take advantage of all the space! Not just a comfy bed in a separate bedroom, but a very neat, yet small bathroom, full living room (with a spare bed if needed) and a KITCHEN! So nice to have, but I didn't know it was included! (I could have taken better advantage of it!)

location: When I booked I wasn't aware that I would be on the 3rd floor. I was alone this trip, but I often travel with a friend (me to visit my son and my grandbaby, and she to visit her sister)...she would not have been able to make it up the narrow steep stairs. The other thing I didn't 'enjoy' was the heat. Everything was off when I arrived, and it took a couple of hours to get a tolerable temperature (on a 100 degree day!) All of this I could tolerate, so not that important for me alone.

I was in town for meetings at the Capitol, so the location couldn’t be better for that! Room was nice, especially the kitchen amenities in the room, great shower, and the staff (who I never actually saw in person) was very responsive.

Not ideal for travelers without a car, because there was nowhere to stow a bag if arriving before check in or leaving after check out. I took Amtrak into town and had time on both ends of my trip so had to just carry my belongings around town and to meetings.

The guest house is centrally located within walking distance of the Lincoln Historic homesite, the Presidential Library, the State Capitol, and Union Station. The property has historic significance. The room was very comfortable, with a spa bath, kitchenette with ice maker. The guest house has some lovely outdoor seating areas with atmospheric lighting, gas warmers, etc. We did not use this area, because we stayed during very cold weather! But I think the terrace area would be a big plus in warmer seasons.

The keyless access directions were slightly tricky, but we succeeded in accessing the room without an issue. Not enough electric outlets, particularly by the night tables.

Beautifully appointed room on an historic house. Roomy, kitchen and jacuzzi. Also a garden where one can eat. It’s possible to walk to the Lincoln attractions, although one should only walk during daylight.

Not much really. Check in and all correspondences where done remotely, which worked very well (I’ve never seen such detailed instructions!) But I enjoy a personal greeting in beautiful homes.

Charming renovated hotel with period decor. Plenty of hot water, fluffy towels, microwave, and fridge. Security is good and parking very close. Location is near downtown and main hospital.

With outdoor temperatures in the single digits it was a bit hard to keep the room warm at night. (Space heater was a big help in the daytime.) Access stairs are probably too steep and narrow for some guests.

A beautiful accommodation in the heart of Springfield. Room was large and nicely decorated. Plenty of room to stretch out.

We wanted to drop off our bags and hour before check-in and they said "fine" but wanted to charge us $20 for the privilege. They then said the room was still being cleaned even though I know it had already been cleaned (I was outside the closed room when I contacted them).

This is a great property with parking or about 10 min walk from train station. It’s on the edge of the town but 5 min walk to a few bars and the memorial building. It’s an old property steep stairs but don’t let that put you off the rooms are very big and you have a kitchen. Very clean rooms and good air conditioning- hosts communicate really well

The property was excellent, well situated and in a quiet neighborhood. It oozed old style charm, but had very good modern amenities.

Although there were plenty of thoughtful and personalised emails I had no interaction with an actual person. Although overall a very enjoyable stay, the lack of the true personal service took the gloss off my stay.
