This is a budget motel - so if you start with that expectation and the really low price then you are going to very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the beautiful views across the lake.

Unusually for a motel there was no breakfast available even as an option. That said Peggy Sue's Diner in town is just superb so no great loss. Also no one was ever present at reception and had to be summoned by phone on the wall. So hardly welcoming compared to, say, to the Best Western next door who were enthusiastic in their welcome even though we had the wrong hotel!!

The room was big, clean, and had a wonderful lake view. The bed was comfortable. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator. The lady at the check-in was very polite and found our reservation right away. The early check-out was easy after contacting staff over the phone. It was unclear where to place the room key upon leaving.

The room comes with a coffee maker; since it was located in the bathroom, we did not use it. The train passed every few minutes during the night, which made sleeping very difficult. I would bring earplugs.

The room was nice and NO bed bugs! Had new mattress and a nice view for bug pond. We enjoyed watching the turtles and ducks in the morning.

Housekeeping left a full trash can in the bathroom and didn't clean the inside of the toilet from the previous guest, but other than that I was pleased. I wish hotels had a kureg coffee pot instead of the lil cheap ones bc the coffee is so watered down and no coffee flavor. No pool, no game room, no extras. Tiny vending machine 1/2 empty and a pop machine.

Quiet with a lovely lake view from the bed and balcony. My stay was during the off season so I’m not sure of its being quiet in the summer. My room was very clean and the king bed room was spacious. Bed and couch were comfortable. Microwave and refrigerator were in working order. Large TV with many channels. There were many food options all within a 5 minute walk.

Some repairs are needed: The interior sides of the doors were beat up with strips of wood removed and the handle of the hot water faucet leaked when being used. All else was fine.

Loved the water view from the balcony and bring able to watch the geese and the turtles.

Definitely missed not having any type of breakfast even muffin, fruit, or cereal could’ve been an added touch. However there is McDonald’s and food nearby. Our room looked like it had recent updates but still needed some things done, the outside of property could’ve been cleaner from all the bird crap, Not having an elevator isn’t ideal but we are on 1st floor so didn’t affect us.

The view of Chubb Lake was excellent, and the small deck was perfect for relaxing on after a long day on the road. As a nature lover, being able to see geese, herons, egrets, and more right out my door was enchanting. The proximity to both Indiana Dunes and major highways is a HUGE plus. I also really appreciated the price point for the room size.

The decor is a bit dated, and the hotel could do with a refresh.

Loved the turtles that would swim up to my deck in the morning. Also the bed was super comfortable.

A few things could be cleaned better or at all. The track for the sliding glass doors, the glass doors themselves. Also I was not told that I had to request maid service when I checked in. They should put a card or letter in the room with this information.

Check-in was easy, the room was well-sized, and we had a lovely little balcony right over the lake. There was a wedding at the property the night we stayed and we could see the ceremony from the balcony. In the morning, lots of seagulls were out and about looking for a meal. The bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed.

The room was a bit outdated and some things needed some attention. Wished there could have been more pillows on the bed.

Perfect location, great price. The room looked freshly renovated. Lovely view, even the art in the room was beautiful photography of the Indiana Dunes. It was such a nice touch. There were makeup remover wipes in the bathroom! The lighting inside the room was very nice too. The blackout curtains actually blocked the sunlight. Thought we didn’t end up needing the microwave or fridge this time, it’s so nice to have.

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, it was trivial though (a hair on the side of the tub behind the door). I had to take the batteries out of the remote and switch them around to get the remote to work properly, but it was an easy fix.

We had a lovely, clean, comfortable room with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed watching the geese, ducks and birds right off our porch. It was easily accessible from the main thruway and very economical for all the amenities. Thank you!
