The location was wonderful. Quiet and light traffic in West Barnstable. The main street was just minutes away and offered a great market, stores, shops and restaurants. The beaches were plentiful and the scenery getting to them was spectacular. Our stay at Lamb & Lion was exceptional. The owner, Lauren, is a true gem. She ensured our vacation needs were met or exceeded! The housekeeper, Nikki, is a true pro as well. Customer service is the name of the game here! We will certainly be back!

We would have enjoyed a full size refrigerator in our unit. There was no ice maker. That's all. Lauren is in the process of updating the facility. All in all, we had a wonderful time!

Loved the relaxed vibe, the hot tub, the beautiful property (the hydrangeas and roses in the courtyard especially), the welcoming of my pet, and the bed was like a cloud.  I loved walking my pup around the property and there was a trail just down the street. I also meditated on the back porch and threw the ball for my pup which he absolutely loved!

I was looking for a pot of coffee in the morning, although never saw one. There was a shelf with cups and coffee items in a main sitting area, but I would've loved having that option.

The location is nice. It's just outside of the downtown of Barnstable and near the waterfront restaurants and Hyannis Whale Watch location . The place is quiet, clean and comfortable. The pool is nice and peaceful. We have stayed here twice now and would do so again next time I visit Cape Cod.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lamb & Lion! A place that is as charming, clean, cozy, quiet, relaxing, and welcoming as one could wish for. This was our third trip to the Cape and by far the best, not least due to being so happy with our lodging. Our room was really nicely decorated and felt very much like a home. We lacked for nothing and particularly enjoyed being able to borrow the inn's beach chairs, towels, and umbrella for the duration of our stay. The location was perfect for our trip as we wanted to explore multiple areas of Cape Cod. We also loved the local guidebook that we found in our room - very thorough, well thought out, and useful - it saved us a ton of time and research because we absolutely every place that was recommended in there (be it a restaurant, beach, or historic landmark). The host, Lauren, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay!

I cannot thing of anything we did not like. Everything stood out in a good way!

We enjoyed the convenience of the location and the traditional style of the inn and used the pool and hot tub. Our room was so quiet despite facing Route 6 A. The owner was personable and helpful but not intrusive at all. You should know that this is not a bed and breakfast as the inn has not resumed providing breakfast after the pandemic. There are two excellent breakfast places nearby—Buttercup in Barnstable village and Jack’s Outback in Yarmouthport. We headed to the outer Cape ( Truro and Wellesley) for the day and had visited Martha’s Vineyard the day before we stayed at this inn. A day trip there would be easy by ferry from Hyannis or Falmouth.

The new owner has made a lot of progress improving the inn but she has a few projects that would make the inn look more “ finished”. Some of the sliding glass /plexiglass doors that line the pool area need to be replaced, as an example.
