Like: staff , always dealing with what feel like the best group of individuals to be in the front of the house! Inviting, knowledgeable, hard working, approachable, and most importantly respectful! Like: the lobby has always been well maintained, with a very relaxing environment, you can tell the staff pay attention to small details! Like: breakfast, always enjoyable, refreshing where appropriate, fresh, easy, convenient, heathy while being tasteful and fun, along with generally being aesthetically pleasing! Like: rooms are always well maintained, the selection of toiletries give the room a sense of individuality in comparison to other hotels! Comfortable stay! Like : WiFi speed but it would be cool as a reward member to have access to better viewing options in TV such as a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu since screen casting is unavailable in the rooms! Like: check in and check out process, quick easy going process LOVE: All of the employees genuinely seemed to not mind being at work at all, which gives the insinuation the company takes care of their staff , this makes it far more enjoyable spending money with the hotel! Will be back, this is a token location!

This was my 4th stay in 2 months due to my brother having a heart attack and then hospice care before he died. This hotel made this emotional event.... less stressful. Xavier was very kind and sympathetic. As well as all the staff. And one young man at the front desk called up to our room right after we checked in for the 4th time to ask if everything was satisfactory. The coffee was excellent each morning. And even though I did not have much of an appetite, the breakfast selection my husband brought up made me eat. I was pleased with this hotel and will only stay here when I am in Kalamazoo. It is always clean and comfortable. And the view in room 507 is perfect. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. I don't right many reviews. But this one I stand by.

LOVED the staff. Can’t say enough positive things about the staff. The little gym was nice, our beds were comfortable, nice showers that were equipped with quality body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.. the room was a little snug but big enough for two adults and 1 kid. They had a nice selection for breakfast.

The TV said you could connect your phone and stream to the tv through the wifi, but some of the TV’s aren’t updated to stream from your phone. Unfortunately our room was one of those tv’s.. Didn’t find that out until AFTER I paid $30 on prime video, to buy the new twister movie. ☹️ so the kids were bummed we couldn’t stream what we wanted.. it’s alright though, they had Cable TV, so they survived 😂

The hotel was very nice and I like the small rooms. Everything worked and was generally clean. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. There was random hair around the shower. The bed was comfortable if a bit on the soft side.

The neighborhood is not the greatest. Random people walking around appeared to be homeless. However, they did not bother us in anyway and our car was untouched. I would recommend staying here. The staff at the front desk was great.

The room was spotless, had a great number of easily accessible hooks for hanging things up, and the beds were very comfortable. I really appreciated the green approach to providing soap and shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom, which was also lovely and easy to navigate. The hotel is close to the highway, and our room faced it, We were very surprised (and grateful) by how quiet it was! The gym facility was great, and the breakfast was one of the best of that type that we've found - lots of healthy choices and it was all delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will look for AVID hotels when I travel. We would have been perfectly happy to stay there for multiple nights. It was a great value for the money.

The $50.00 holds they kept taking because I kept having to extend my stay due to my brother being in the hospital on life support. Not only was I not aware of this extra security charge on the first night reservation, but the other three nights, they added it also. I was told it may take 7 to 10 days to get it back. The staff and place are very nice and I would highly recommend this hotel. This is the only complaint I have.

The beds were very comfortable, the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and friendly. I also became a member of the hotel and got an additional discount on my room.

In my room the shower didn’t look like it was cleaned very well, the shower head was dirty with calcium buildup. Room 204. And the breakfast didn’t have a lot of variety to pick from. The breakfast sandwich I had was a little hard to bite into.

It was close to a lot of things but far enough away to seem like a “quieter location”

I’m not sure if it was a hotel issue or a booking.com issue.. we booked a certain type of room online but when we arrived exactly during our arrival window I gave them we were told they didn’t have any King rooms available. Also, they need either carpet or rugs next to the beds because of the linoleum which I didn’t mind other than the bits that made it into my bed from my feet on the floor.

Awesome staff. Decor was bright and modern. Clean rooms, like flooring.

Bedsprings noisy. Breakfast food choices could have been better and breakfast hours not posted very well. We almost missed breakfast because I thought it was to10, not 9:30. Bathroom light was set to timer. In middle of the night we couldn't just turn it off. Gad to close bathroom door.

The European style uncluttered and clean room accommodations. The breakfast selection, including vegetarian options for my spouse was incredible at this hotel room price point. The staff we had interacted with were both cheery and pleasant. Look forward to staying here in the future.

The crazy traffic circle you have to use to get to the hotel parking lot, however, I understand that is out of the hotel's control.
