Our family really enjoyed the time we spent at West Winds. From the moment we arrived, through the time we left, the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. The location was beautiful. We had a perfect view of the St. Lawrence River. The room was spacious and clean. Our family of 4 fit comfortably in the room. We enjoyed the picnic tables outside of our room too! There are grills on site. We cooked out one night for dinner and enjoyed the evening in. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the 1000 Islands.

Terrific property on the river. We stayed in the motel section which met our needs for one night. Clean, comfortable room. Would like to return and stay in the cottages with great views of the St. Lawrence River. Outdoor pool and fire pit with seating for their nightly bonfire. Adirondack chairs provide great views to the boats traveling on the river. Grills located throughout the property. Would be a fun place to stay in the summer. Reasonable rates. Check out the cottages on their website. Located a few miles outside the banner town of Clayton. Friendly owners. Highly recommended.

Motel bathroom on the smaller side, but immaculate.

Family run, owners on site and they were so nice! Very pleasant and helpful. Nice little courtesy room with 24 hour coffee and microwave. Good value for the money.

The facility is a little dated and it’s pretty far from everything. They have a nice dock but no launch so you have to drive about 3 miles to launch and you have to drive to get anything else (food!). pool looked nice but was closed due to weather.

Excellent location and amenities including pool, screen room, fire pit and dock. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Rooms could use some updating. It was not possible to book a 2 night stay through booking .com and I had to make 2 separate reservations. This led to checking out of one room at 10 AM and having to wait to check back in to another after 2 PM. I could not access the phone number that went directly to the site.

Most everything, the staff is fantastic, and the surroundings are beautiful, I love the social event you have every night for everyone to socialize. Overall I loved the cottages, and the price was right, I would recommend these cottages in a heartbeat.

I like everything except that the bed could be a little better. I didn't sleep well, but it wasn't too bad. Also, I wish they had complimentary coffee and tea at the cottages then you didn't have to go up to the reception area. Sometimes you want to get up and have a cup of coffee without getting dressed.

The people were very welcoming and friendly. Felt like a home away from home. There was also a beautiful view of the sunset by the water and I loved that we had access right next to the water.

The top blanket was a little moist when we first got there from the heat I presume. Also I feel like there should be signs for the door to decline house cleaners in during the stay because I was just getting ready after lunch and someone just walked it. So it felt a little uneasy after that.

My husband and I stayed for a short getaway. Stay was wonderful, very helpful. We stayed in Motel # 1 , the room was very small,but was very clean and comfortable. The view of the St. Lawrence River was breathtaking!! We wuld definetly stay there again.

Room was a very small. I would like a room with a kitchen.

I love waking up in the morning and seeing that beautiful view. The staff and grounds to the property were amazing! Most important I felt safe for a female being on their own. I will be going back!

The only thing that I would complain about is the beds were a little high, but they were comfortable!

Jolene was exceptionally gracious when we arrived past our check in time. The motel room was good size and the beds were comfortable. They had free ice and coffee available. We only stayed one night, but it was enjoyable and would book again if we went the 5he river.

I could have sworn I read that they had a heated pool. Much to my surprise they did not. Would of enjoyed a swim, but water was to cold.

Location was great,staff was very accommodating and caring. Room was clean and comfortable.

Size of the shower was very small and hard to move around in but not a deal breaker.
