Well, I had the room with the living room area because of work, I didn't crawl in bed until 11:30 that night only to find that the sheets were soiled. Went down the next morning and asked that my sheets be changed, left for the day came back and the sheets weren't changed but the towels were replaced in the bathroom... not what I asked for, called down to the front desk and was told that the cleaning people had left for the day, however, they were able to finagle somebody up to change my sheets. Then out of nowhere people checked into the room beside me, their little one was having a really bad day because they were doing jumping wrestling moves off the top of furniture slamming into the floor, walls, ceiling, whatever they could body slam. I sat there and listened for a while and thought, please, make it stop, and then somebody knocked on their door and in the glorious voice of James Earl Jones, he had a very polite conversation and from then on it was crickets. I would rate it higher if it weren't for the soiled sheets and my request being ignored, come on, too better.

The room was very clean and nicely decorated, the bedding was comfortable and the mattress was great for me. My daughter traveled with me and kept remarking on the high ceilings, it made it feel more spacious. We had a handicap accessible room and it was very well done. The bathtub had a small lip, easy to get over and there was a handheld shower with a lower attachment. There was a bath seat available in the room! In the lobby, there was a small "store" for purchases 24/7 and hot drinks were available as well. During the breakfast hours, it was rather busy, but it was well organized and well tended. I was very pleased to see how accessible everything was. The breakfast staff was very helpful and was happy to get anything that had run out while he was doing other things. It was a typical "continental" breakfast, but it was good and fresh. We went out to dinner and there were several restaurants that were very close by, in fact, if it hadn't been December, we may have walked!

The hotel is close to the highway, so truck noises were a thing, but it wasn't so bad. It can't be helped, but if you are a light sleeper, you may need ear plugs.

Front desk staff were professional and friendly. They graciously got us a first floor room on request. The room was clean and fairly spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of channels on the tv (always a plus). Breakfast was pretty standard fare but tasty. Nice variety. The hotel location was perfect. Close enough to whichever way we were going and close to lots of restaurants. Hot coffee and water available for an early checkout. Would stay here again.

The only negative is that when you go out of your room the room doesn’t shut fully to lock it. You have to pull it shut. But once you’re aware of it you do it automatically.

The bed was very comfortable. The hotel's decor and renovation are new/recent. The breakfast was comprehensive. Multinational staff...Jamaicans, Indians, Latinos, and local Ashevillians.

The breakfast area is a tad cramped. Too much furniture in the room. However, this is standard for the Country Inn & Suites. Does not reflect poorly of the operators. My room was next to the elevator, which makes a loud BING-BONG when it reaches the floor. It was annoying, but I'm sure it's there to accommodate guests with disabilities.

The HVAC in the room worked really well. The shower was fantastic. The bed was super firm (which I enjoyed, although my husband didn't). Other than the eggs, the breakfast was good.

The eggs were swimming in water. I know they're powdered, but effort could be made to make them palatable. The covers on the bed were too thin to keep me warm (at the temperature my husband requires to sleep). The FDA almost didn't let us check in because he insisted I was local - it wasn't until I insisted that Charlotte is over two hours from Asheville, so there's no way we could be local, that he looked again and realized he had just entered our street address and there's another street address much closer than ours actually is. It was just super frustrating while trying to check in late at night to deal with that.

The prhase "the best surprise is no surprise) applies here -- the room was clean and comfortable, the bed was fine, the watter pressure great, and the coffee decent. Staff was courteous. Checking in and out no problem. Lots of parking.

The location is not ideal -- there's really nothing close by (except another motel) -- car dealers, etc. The breakfast was at best so-so -- mainly sweet dry cereals or instant oatmeal (with kinda hot water from a carafe). Only one kind of yogurt (too sweet for my taste) -- a toaster but no bread for toast (plain bagels, so no whole wheat option). Industrial orange juice -- you get the idea, Oddly, my mattress had a torn plastic cover, which I had to remove (the plastic poked me when I lied down, not to mention the rustling.) The manager told me this was to prevent bedbugs -- a worthy goal for sure but that's the first time I've seen that, and the tear was intolerable.

We were really delighted with our accommodations. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was everything you could want.

A minor thing, but the lobby was pretty homespun and boring, perhaps almost shabby. It didn't represent the hotel well. And, and this is me being me, but it bugged me that the lobby was done in drab earthtones and yet they had their snazzy gas fireplace turned to purple flames. It made the furnishings look even worse, and it didn't represent the hotel well. When we walked in, I thought uh oh. But really, our rooms were super nice.

Bed wasn't that comfortable to me

It was clean and they had breakfast more than Continental! When we first arrived there were fresh chocolate chip cookies available. I saw the reviews said breakfast wasn’t great but we had French toast eggs potatoes sausage muffins juice cereal fresh fruit etc it was lots of choices. I can appreciate that you saw the concerns and reviews and made it better. It was a big plus from the last time I visited Asheville and a better rate breakfast and cleaner place! All around better stay

At night the ac system would make noise it wasn’t loud but noise none the less

Breakfast was very good. I was pleased that housekeeping came and emptied the trash while we were gone but didn't bother anything else. The room had nice furnishings and comfortable beds and I liked that our room was on the top floor. The stair case in the entry was very nice and has just the right amount of Christmas decorations on it.

My friend that traveled with me commented that one of the employees was a bit rude to her on the morning that we were leaving. However, I am not sure which one. A simple "good morning" as a greeting as you pass a guest in the hall makes a big difference in the friendliness of every staff member.
