Breakfast was wonderful and different items every day! Loves that there were beach umbrellas and chairs for rent and charged to my room so I did not have to carry beach items or money to the beach! The lifeguards were great! The private access was well maintained and safe. Loved all the different pools and hot tub! King sized bed was very comfy!! Pillows and blanket were clean and soft! Snack shop was perfect in a pinch!

Our initial Queen double room smelled like mildew room 205, but Helen got us another room right away and even gave me a discount! Thanks Helen!!

Great location for our plans. For those "looking" for more activity, may want to stay further south. Corolla is pretty quiet and most locations close up around 8:00. Morning breakfast offerings included waffles, eggs, (scrambled or omelet style - different each day), sausage or bacon - (again, different days), cereals, juices, pastries. Good to get the day started. Hotel is right on the beach and there's several pools. Main pool outside and a "lazy river" type right beside it. Indoor pool and a hot tub inside - guessing it was clean, the chlorine was pretty overpowering. Small gym facility which would like suit many. Room was spacious, (King studio). Open living room with separate wet bar area, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table with 4 chairs, sofa, large 55"+ television that had swivel mount. Bathroom sink was open to main room but toilet and shower were private. Ice machine and laundry machines were available on same floor. Overall, excellent stay and would recommend to others.

Not much. As mentioned, good for our plans. If staying in OBX for longer period or with others, may have looked for other accommodations closer to sights and larger living space. (There appear to many homes in the Outer Banks that are rented for longer stays).

Nicely run hotel, many friendly service staff cleaning rooms, grounds, etc. We went on a thurs-sat and were surprised how quiet and not crowded the hotel pool areas were. Nice easy walk to the beach and lifeguard right at entrance. I wish they had an on-site beach grill with simple foods for lunch but we drove up to the deli/charcuterie place a mile north and they had nice sandwiches.

Go early for breakfast to avoid crowds on a Saturday and a wait for the 2 waffle machines. At 7:30 my husband said it was quiet. At 8:45 it was filled. Weekday wasn't bad.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beach access and the beach itself were AMAZING. Breakfast had lots of options and some changed daily, which is really nice if you're staying multiple days. Also plenty of seating for breakfast! Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the cleaning crew was outstanding. We enjoyed the slightly more remote area from the busy nearby coastal towns. The decor inside and outside of the room was also beautiful. We also appreciated the hot drinks station. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommended.

The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Our room was great and very clean. The breakfast was great and everything was kept well stocked. The beach was great! It was too cold to enjoy the outside pool area but it was beautiful and we loved all of the seating around the pool and the pool area! The lobby was great and very warm and inviting. I can not say enough about how much we loved our stay and how happy we were that we chose The Hampton Inn!

The only thing that I could say that I did not like and I am sure this was just do to the past storms was the steps to the beach had a lot of sand on them and was almost hard to see the steps due to the sand. However this in no way took away from how happy and satisfied we were with our stay.

We loved the view from our room, we loved the breakfast, we loved being so close to the beach, we loved the pool and we loved the fact that there was.a hotel gym!

The water in the bathtub faucet did not get really hot, just warm. The treadmill in the gym broke on the second day we were there and it was never fixed. We liked how remote the Hampton Inn was, and we LOVED being able to walk onot the beach so easily, but at the same time, it would have been nice to have been a little closer to restaurants, particularly since restaurants in the area seem to close early in the winter.

Breakfast was great I wish there was more fresh fruit especially during he summer months.

I did not like that there were so many dogs on the property. Everywhere you turned there was a dog barking or peeing or pooping. Are there special rooms for pet owners or has my room had a dog with fleas and dog hair? I am a dog lover but this was too much! Also I thought this was non smoking. People on patios outside their rooms smoking. People down outside the pool smoking. People in front of the hotel smoking. Not good. Is this place going down the tubes ?

The room was spacious and had a fridge, microwave, and separate sink for cleaning dishes/water for coffee, sofa sleeper, dining table with chairs, and a balcony with seating. On days when there was no room cleaning, housekeeping would drop off a bag with clean towels and toiletries; you didn't even have to ask for them. This was by far the best hotel full breakfast (bacon eggs, potatoes, grits, oatmeal cereal waffles, muffins, bagels, fruit, coffee, and a variety of juices). Hot beverages were available in the lobby 24/7.

Just a suggestion, in-room cooktop. It can be hard to find restaurants during the winter months.

The property was right on the beach which was beautiful! We enjoyed the heated pools at night when it got dark in the beach. The breakfast offering was so generous and everything was so good There was coffee available all throughout the day which they maintain attentively

Wish there were more exercise equipment to do arms, legs and abdominal workouts, but otherwise no complaints at all

The overall location, experience, staff, & food was top notch. I went to the area and got a terrific sunset over in Duck, NC just down the road. In the morning, I was able to walk out through the back of the hotel and caught a wonderful sunrise. I will plan to make this visit again. Well done all around!

There was a small dog that apparently was left in the room across the hallway, that did quite a bit of barking during the early evening hours. Wherever it's owners were at the the time, I'm not sure, but it would quiet down when the owners returned Having been a pup owner, I can relate with the hazards of traveling with a dog, but the weather was temperate enough, the folks could have brought the dog with them on their excursions. As the hotel is pet friendly, I could appreciate the hotel's efforts to accomodate pets.
