Loved the view of the river and rockers on the porch to sit and watch the river. Very peaceful! Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great! The biscuits were moist and fresh and the sausage gravy just topped it off! Good coffee also!!

No coffee maker In our room. The pool and hot tub were available 10am to 10 pm. It would be good if it had been available a little earlier because we wanted to get in the hot tub before checking out. Not enough parking space. We came in late in the evening and had a hard time finding a place to park. Didn't like that it was on a dead end road.

The hotel has a wonderful view of the river in the deck outside, so that was really enjoyable. They also have a hot tub and an indoor pool, so you could really relax and enjoy it, even more in the winter (when we traveled). The breakfast was very good, and the cooking lady was making sure everything was okay and checking the supplies.

I didn't like that the room is not cleaned every day, and they didn't let us know that at the counter. They had very few personnel available so that's why they couldn't clean the room.

Very nice location next to a river.

Rooms had a very musty smell. Changed to another room with same smell but less. There were two young ladies at the desk that were not at all happy that we changed the room. One really had an attitude at disgust towards us. One of the luggage dollies had a flat tire, so I put it in a location away from the others and she was not happy with that and showed it. We got into a bit of a "discussion" about why it should not be with the other dollies. Other than the musty smell and the staff issue, the location was nice and the morning breakfast was very good.

room was super, great shower, excellent views onto the river & direct access to the boardwalk. well laid out & a good size. location by the river is very tranquil. there is a pool & a gym. plenty of parking.

on arrival got checked but the check in staff didn't seem too happy, no smiles. breakfast was pretty basic. room smelt a bit musty with the AC on, but with the window open & mosquito mesh was fine.

The location of the hotel is a big plus. It is about half a mile from the quaint downtown area of Dillsboro. Wonderful restaurants and shops. I booked a room with a balcony overlooking the river. It's definitely worth the extra money. So quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The breakfast was excellent! Lots of great choices. The pancake machine had some issues, but I always found someone to fix it. (The pancakes were delicious, so it was worth the effort.) Each day, they had a different breakfast meat and eggs as well as pastries, bagels, cereal, juices, yogurt, and so on. The breakfast area had indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the river. What a wonderful way to start your day! The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean with plenty of towels. Super soft water and good water pressure.

The air conditioning was very loud and never seemed to shut off. The lighting in the bathroom was super dim, and there was no way to adjust it. There was a strong smell in the hotel like a cleaner, not a bad smell, just very strong, so it took a little getting used to. I opened the door to my balcony to get fresh air in the room. The jets in the pool's hot tub were not working, and the coating on the pool and hot tub were very sharp. It was like little tiny sharp pebbles. Also, I swam in the evenings, and they didn't turn on the lights in the pool area 4 out of 5 days. So the only light in the pool area was natural light. So when it started to get dark, it got very dark in there. Maybe should've use an auto timer system.

The room was comfortable and quiet--the arch somehow created more of a welcoming feel, the blue color scheme was soothing, and the bed was great. The highlight was being able to sit out in rocking chairs to watch the river as the sun went down. A blue heron made a lovely view even more interesting.

Breakfast was a little tricky for us because we eat lowfat. Wrapped apples were the only fruit we saw. Some of the other guests were going on and on about the pancake machine, but that's not the hotel's fault!

been visiting Dillsboro for 20 plus years. River Escape Best Western is my favorite place to stay. My family and friends have visited Dillsboro and stayed at your location. The river setting is spectacular. Please don't change anything. I will return. See ya soon. Now that I've just retired. The trout fishing is awesome. RICHARD TEETER

Like I said, the visit was perfect' awesome, and spectacular. Trust me! JUST ASK HARRISON FORD! ok, what was it that I didn't like? My visit was not long enough. Thats my fault.

The view of the river was a bonus. It was a bit chilly the day we were in Dillsboro, but had it been warmer, we would have made full use of the comfortable chairs on our private second-story veranda (and/or the table and chairs on the hotel patio). What a beautiful location, perfect for our trip into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Staff members were friendly, had a good breakfast the next morning, beds were very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, excellent WiFi. Hope to return one day.

The lower part of the outside of the sliding glass door in our room had a little bit of rain dirt on it, which honestly did not affect our stay in the least. Everything else was spotless and neat. Can't think of anything we didn't like.

The outside was very well kempt and felt safe. We had a lovely breakfast. Plenty to choose from as far as food and drinks. Friendly staff making sure you have all you need. Very clean room and bathroom.

Being that we were there for nighttime events we really needed to have had a true blackout curtain. It was two small panels at the end of the rod that was not very helpful with the sheer curtain.

Front desk and staff were extremely friendly and we were able to check in quickly. The rooms were clean as were the other facilities. Overall it was a nice experience and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Only problem I experienced was the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were set up in the shower with a small pump and hardly anything came out. But it's a very minimal detail, it didn't ruin the stay by any means but I would recommend bringing your own to avoid this small problem.
