It had a truly homey feel. It started in the office with I believe was the owner. It was 6 hrs past when we had said we were going to check in and like 10 at night. The lady in the office and wish I remembered her name. She was so kind. She reminded me of what it was like growing up in the country. Very trusting, very take a person for their word, very caring and hospitable. Also could tell a strong woman. The rooms are comfortable. They make you feel at home. The bed was comfortable. There is a full size hot tub in the room. I had champagne and candles I had bought for the occasion. I had proposed ro my girlfriend earlier in the day. She couldn't get over the hot tub and didnt want to get out. I slept so well and that isnt usually the case staying at new places for me. I traveled for work on a drill rig and the first 3 nights somewhere I usually don't sleep much. I woke up more refreshed than I have been in awhile. Did I also mention this place is like 100 bucks cheaper a night than most other hotels in the area. We are making this our new place to stay while visiting Lincoln City. Thank you guys at Whistling Winds. You can tell how hard yall work and how goes into what you do for everyone. Oh, as we pulled in at 10 o'clock. There was a fire pit going outside for people to stand or sit around as well. -See you next time Kyle & Leah Bowser

It was clean, comfortable and cute! Loved the room and the jacuzzi with robes. We like the little fire pit area but unfortunately didn’t get back in time to use it after buying stuff for s’mores. The awesome lady at the front desk is amazing and very helpful. It was walking distance to beach access which is wonderful! We were able to walk to a couple of garage sales too 😊

The way 2 other guests parked made it hard for us to get out of our Jeep when we got back from dinner. The bed frame was noisy. No AC but we managed with the fan that was provided.

The room itself was lovely, cosy, and warmly decorated. While we couldn't see the ocean, staff directed us to the nearest beach access which was only a short walk (like a block!). There was a nice covered area for outdoor cooking/socializing, and a gas firepit with walls to block the wind. Both looked nice we were just sadly too busy to take advantage of the spaces. There were only two minor problems, one which staff already knew of and had a fix in action for and one that came up later that they handled ASAP! Overall it was great and I hope to be able to stay here again!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were charming, quaint and cozy. I liked the wood paneling. It made the place feel warm and inviting. The stained glass windows and real wood shutters all added to the charm. The wood work was lovely. It was like stepping back into an 1800s inn but with all of the modern conveniences. I also liked the really soft sheets, and the real coffee maker and real mugs. It was a really nice upgrade from the single use everything you see in so many other hotels. I didn’t have a chance to use them, but they provided a beach bag and beach towels and a cute hamper for dirty towels. It’s a short easy walk to the beach. I loved it.

I loved the space and the coziness. I especially liked having 3 beds! The sound on the TV was really good and it had streaming services as well.

The base of the toilet was not thoroughly cleaned as you could see urine stains and some hair. The lady at check in wasn't too friendly, but she did check us in at 2:45 instead of 3. She was busy folding laundry in the back, so I think we interrupted her flow. All of this being said, I will still come back again, and I would definitely recommend it to others!

The staff was wonderful! The owners helped us when we caused a mistake and were generous with us. We stayed here for 4 days in the king room with a hot tub, and it was a spacious room with everything you would need. A small ice chest, air purifier, and a small fan. The windows open beautifully for a nice night breeze. It is truly a beautiful place to take the family. They have a smoking area, BBQ grill access, and a fire pit area. It's a block from the beach, but you can still hear the waves from the hotel.

This is a charming cabin-style apartment near the beach. It was very comfortable and spacious. We were traveling for a family vacation and looking for a place that could reasonably accommodate our family. The bed was very comfortable, and so was the pullout sofa bed, which is rare. The innkeeper was cheerful and enthusiastic as she oriented us to the property and shared some tips from local insiders on things to see and do in Lincoln City. I loved having a full-size fridge to keep food in and a real kitchen so we could cook meals in the room. There were extra blankets and pillows in case of need, and everything was labeled so you knew how to properly work it. We had sufficient towels and provided toiletries for the duration of our stay. It was a truly awesome place to stay; it felt like being home while on vacation. It was walkable to the beach, and we had a small front porch where we could leave our sandy shoes. I especially enjoyed being able to hear the waves through the open windows. All this and no cleaning fee! We are already planning to return someday.

On the last day, we found out that we could have used the firepit on site during our stay and that the property had wood for guests. If we had known about this, we would have definitely taken advantage of it.

Quaint, clean, quiet, and so homey. Ive been coming to Lincoln city for years…growing up and then with my own family and then recent years with my elderly mom. I’ve passed by it so many times and always wanted to stay but seemed to end up staying beachfront by majority rule! This was my first solo trip and I’m so glad I chose where I wanted to stay! Cathy was so welcoming and made it so easy to add an extra night to my stay at the last minute.

This is a charming hotel. I love the little details, and each room has its own cozy vibe. The owners and staff are all so friendly and kind. I especially love the outdoor decks and seating areas. It’s 1/2 a block across the street from the beach. An easy walk! A lovely neighborhood and close to stores, and the Casino. Very peaceful and relaxing. A decent price too compared to others. If you like a hotel that’s unique and comfy this is the one.

My only complaint… I’d love to see cotton sheets and bedspreads. Or at least a high cotton blend. I get so hot with synthetic fibers. I understand synthetics hold up better, for a hotel…but REST is a key part of a vacation.

The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bed was so comfortable, and the one staff person I talked to was helpful and friendly. The room was roomy, with plenty of space to stretch out and relax, and the location was away from Hwy 101, so more quiet that many of the larger motels. I would stay there again.

It took a long time to get hot water, so a heads-up on that (so i had some idea that hot water would be coming eventually) would have been helpful. I don’t like to waste water, so knowing I wasn’t running water for no reason and that hot water was coming would have been nice. Small detail.
