Amazing views from our spacious comfortable room with good storage, hooks, drawers. The windows open so you can sleep to the sound of the waves. The tea kettle was great and used all day. Excellent breakfast with great variety and FRESH fruit every day! Very clean pool, hot tub and sauna. Friendly helpful staff. Relatively quiet although we could hear walking on our ceiling. Good parking. Quiet safe area. Super cute lobby decor with fireplace. Courtyard and deck were also great areas to hang out.

The stairs to the beach were kinda of wonky and steep. No foot wash. Bed was ok, not best or worst. Nothing to watch on TV. Cable went out while we were there. Not their fault but it happened. Maybe not the best if you have any mobility issues due to the number of stairs, no elevator.

The best hotel on our long road trip was the last one - the Surfland Hotel! We arrived quite late, were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff. All rooms have a beautiful ocean view. Beds were really comfy, rooms spacious and clean. Great direct beach access! Really good value, beat much more expensive hotels on our trip Access to pool with sauna and hot tub included. Great breakfast with cold and warm meals. The hotel also offers some nice additional serviced (free ice water and cookies, local craft beer and wine at fair prices etc) We loved it!

The location and view was amazing, the sound of the ocean was lovely, the fireplace was warm, and it made the room inviting. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a selection of pillows. We swam in the refreshing pool and relaxed in the hot tub and sauna. There rooms had great sound proofing and were extremely clean. There are cute design choices that make the room inviting: chic lamps, marble occasional table, art selections, the paint features behind the beds, jacket hooks, and the “kitchen” area with microwave, fridge, Bodum, and shelves were well thought out. The morning coffee tasted local & small batch. There was a drop dead gorgeous ocean-view deck with loungers. The 50 or so steps down to the beach had a few small viewing platforms great for photos or resting. The continental breakfast space was in a separate unit with corner ocean views and it was zen to have a juice, coffee with almond milk, and waffles with fresh berries while watching the waves roar in. The was quite a selection of breakfast items (bagels, muffins, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausages, toast, English muffins, cereal, yogurt) so I think most people could find what they prefer. The hotel desk staff were personable, kind, and helpful, and the lobby had lemon water ready to enjoy after driving. The luggage carts were a bonus to haul the family items in and parking was simple. Great value for price,

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The sauna was amazing. The view was wonderful despite not being able to open the windows fully like I enjoy (understandably a safety thing). I was also pretty impressed with the HVAC system.

The toilet was weirdly elevated but I'm not upset as the room was relatively inexpensive. I did not like that we couldn't change the channel from Fox News to literally anything else during breakfast. That was a really weird "policy" that I'm still scratching my head about. I go to the beach to have a bit of escapism, I think my request to turn the channel was reasonable but the middle ground was simply "turning it down" instead of simply turning it off and allowing all the families that morning to have conversation with themselves rather than drooling over the bad news that was being spit out.

Our room had a balcony with an exceptional view of the ocean and sunset. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The property has a path right down to the beach. All the staff members were friendly. The price for the coast, especially with the view, was quite reasonable. The coffee both in the room and at breakfast was really good. The lobby has wine, beer and snacks for sale.

The breakfast had decent variety but was mostly a standard hotel breakfast. The breakfast room was very crowded our second morning, though it was easy to take our food back to our room.

We love the location as it's right at the beach. The balcony was awesome! We had our small dog with us and loved that this hotel was accommodating. We stay at this resort because of the location, breakfast and overall it's a nice place. We've been coming here for a few years and we continue to return because we've always had a good experience.

Our bathtub had hairs in and around the tub. The AC didn't work and the room was hot. The floor around the bed area was dirty and in need of cleaning. The staff wasn't as friendly as the staff that was working there a few years ago. We have never had a room with so many issues. The cost to stay during the summer is so much higher than other seasons that it wasn't worth the money this time.

Location: there is a path with steps leading down to the beach, and it is never crowded. I love how private the beach is. There is a ton of places to hang items. Which is awesome for wet suits. The pool is amazing! It goes from 3 feet to 6 feet. It is kept warm. The hot tub seats probably 5 adults comfortably. The sauna is new and gets nice and hot. Cookies in the main lobby around 4pm. Breakfast: cereal, bagels, muffins, waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit cups, oatmeal, juices, coffee, English muffins. Loats of seating. It was never crowded. Food is kept up promptly by the lady that serves and she is very attentive and sweet. If you have a dog they have a little designated grass area for them to go the bathroom. Other perks: bocci ball, large connect 4, fire pit (or whatever that thing is called that has a fire on a concrete stand), tons of board games at the front desk. Beds are comfy! Nice pillows.

The rooms do not have AC, but if you ask the front desk they have a fan or 2 per floor so you can crack the window, open the front door (to create a cross breeze) and turn on the fan which cools the room within 10 minutes.  There is no bathroom in the pool area which is annoying. We had to run to the room to use the restroom.

View, breakfast, bed, everything great. I didn't appreciate the assumption that I was going to try to rip you all off or take advantage. I was paying well for the room for myself and my good dog.

I will say, though I do understand, that it is very sad that your desk help must question customers down and heavily warn us about others using the facility. I get it. I am in the hospitality industry. But, I arrived exhausted. Just wanted to check in. I would never bring another person and lie about it while checking in. I would not bring another person and have them use the pool.

The room was a good size, king bed very comfy. Nice desk/writing area as well as sitting area with ocean views. The bathroom was a bit tight on space and placement of the shower head oddly low, though not a problem for either of us. Small fridge and microwave useful. Fresh ground coffee to take to your room if that's your thing. The view over the beach and ocean is quite nice. Very clean.

We arrived for breakfast at 9 AM (open 7 - 10) and there were no hot options left. They seem to have long since run out of scrambled eggs and only had a few sausages left. The woman working the breakfast area was very apologetic but one has to wonder why there was such a shortage of food. The hotel does know how many guests it has staying overnight, yes? Some people arrived after us and walked out after taking stock of the meagre offerings. We had booked this place partly based on the breakfast, so were disappointed, to say the least.

On the second night there was a fight going on in the room next to us and I called the front desk and within 5 minutes it was quiet. The pool is extremely warm and clean as was the hot tub. It was an awesome pool! The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast selection was decent: waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal.

There wasn't a bathroom in the pool area and you had to be outside to get to it. The beds were not very comfortable and had dips and divets from being used so much.
