This was the 3rd time I have stayed there. My grandkids and I have always enjoyed it.

The day we got there, the lady at the front desk was rude. We have never experienced that with your staff nor did we experience that from others. It takes a lot of savings on my part so we can stay there. We plan on going to Lincoln City again next summer. Driving 8 hours to get there only to be treated rudely was not acceptable. She was rude to the grandkids, too. I have a year to decide if we will stay there again next year or try somewhere else. We love your facility but not the way we were treated that first day. It made us not want to ask for anything or ask questions. I have managed a motel before, and greeting guests was one thing that I was a stickler on. Regardless, you greet with a smile and friendly tone. That's how you get return guests.

I was accommodated in a personal way. Having asked for ease of access, I was given a room close to parking and stairway. The corner view was spectacular and foot traffic minimal. It was an easy walk to beach access and restaurant and bar amenities. All the personnel were friendly and very accommodating.

The appointments in the room were pared down from what I expected: no closet, or drawers; just a rack with only 2(!) hangars, no iron or laundry bag, no pen or paper, no do not disturb door hanger (I saw it on other rooms), and only a QR CODE available for menu and facility information.

The room was perfect for us. We had a and a huge sliding door with a spectacular view. The beach was less than 50 ft for the barrier to the hotel/beach. My daughter has to use a wheelchair on long distance walks. Our room was 100 ft from the parking lot, easy access to the room using the wheelchair Her and my grandson walked to the beach every night. He pushed her to the beach, folded up her chair and she was able to walk to a log to sit down. We were on the second floor and did not hear the neighbors above us or on either side of the walls. We didn't use the pool this trip. It is separate from the main building and it was too cool/windy to walk back to the room. It also was uphill from the room and would have been very hard to push the wheelchair up it. The staff was super nice. The property was spotless. I plan on staying there next year. They also had fire pits in a little courtyard. Bring bring supplies for S'mores. They sold kits in the lobby. We went to the local store and purchased our own. There are are a few major name stores near by and local restaurants/ fast food too. The room had a sink, microwave, and a refrigerator with a freezer.

nothing huge or major but, my daughter and I are 5 ft tall. The beds had deep mattresses and she had to use the chair as a step stool and I have the strength in my arms and legs to pull myself up. We had a good laugh. The beds were very comfortable. Just too high for people 5ft. or under! LOL

Upon coming into our room we had a signed card from housekeeping- for our wedding anniversary. That was so thoughtful! Location of the hotel, large free parking, view of the ocean from our room, gas fireplace, coffee pot, LVP floors, but my favorite-the mattress was soooo comfortable! I slept so good. Made coming home to my old mattress horrible. The sunsets were stunning!

Smaller tv was difficult to see from the couch. The coach was not as comfortable, it was cold to sit on, made me wish I had an extra blanket to stay warm. Minor details. I would have liked the option for the fireplace to be just the flame but no heat. And if heat needed, longer than 30mins. I felt like I had to keep getting up to turn it back on. Again, minor detail. Not a deal breaker. The fan in the bathroom sounds like it’s dying, probably just old. Our sink drain was very slow. I let the front desk know upon check out. The toilet is older and the seat was chipped. You can tell the room has been revamped and it looks nice- I liked the colors but some details of the paint job and trim (big paint dripping on the desk leg) could be cleaned up to look nicer.

Great updated hotel on the coast. We were in what we were told was an older room and they had even more updated rooms but the ones we were in were in good condition and newer amenities unlike many coastal mom and pop hotels in the area. We did need maintenance as the tv channel collection is limited but they offer a variety of movies onsite you can rent. Maintenance had to replace our DVD player but they were very prompt in responding.

The vending machines ate your money and lacked variety. Most slots were empty. The pool and spa was closed and unusable with staff unsure when or if it would be available in the future.

Loved the location and the friendliness of the staff

The floors looked as though they may have been vacuumed and not swept so there was quite a bit of stuff left on the floors especially under the desk. The phone didn’t work so we couldn’t just call the front desk. The walkways and porches were a little scary to me because they drooped down. At first I thought it was on purpose then as you walk around some spots are a LOT more than others and the patios are reinforced to hold them up. It wouldn’t stop me from staying here again.

it was a nice place , loved the balcony and beach had great access, loved the setup for the coffee and microwave and sink ,

Did not like the handicapped access . Parking lot had what one or two spots? Definitely nothing by our room from the parking lot so we had to roll all the way around motel to elevator , also prices at restaurant $$$$, I’m sorry it might be a vacation but I have a hard time paying $14 or $15 for chips and dip! I was upset about all the noise right outside our door from the courtyard / fire pit area , also remembered there used to be restaurant down the walkway from lobby with with ocean view window seating and a dance floor , the new restaurant is boring , Sorry so negative ,—-staff was wonderful 🙂

Lovely room, great view, best beach access, cozy firepits for smores, wonderful staff.

The cable was out, so tv didn't work, which was not the fault of Surftides, but many guests were jerks about it. Surftides dealt with it by waiving the fee for guests to get DVD rentals. During the day and most of the evening, tv isnt really necessary, after all, you're at the beach! But we usually rent a dvd for the kids to watch before bed, and we did that, rather late at night, only to realize the DVD player had been stolen from our room by the previous guest. The staff provided a replacement, that we couldnt hook up properly without help, which ended up working out fine, it was just delayed until the next night.

Location was good. Parking was good. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach.

We were not told in advance by Booking.com or the Hotel, that there was no cable. They offered videos only if you had a player in your room. Which we did not. I would have brought my portable video player if we had known. We went to Goodwill and bought some games to play. Not even a radio in the room. Should have gotten a credit on the price. I was disappointed for no Ocean view. I think when you book through a third party, you get the 2nd rated rooms. Yes, room 604 if you looked over the top of the building in front of us, you saw the ocean if you stood on the chair.

The location was beautiful, they upgraded us to an ocean view room at no cost and it we were so grateful. Drinking morning coffee on the deck was the best thing. Easy access to the beach. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we needed an extra blanket and coffee pods. It was great for the price.

It was a little hard with 2 small kiddos being in such close quarters. There is no daily turn over service which would've been nice only for clean towels and help with the sand accumulation daily. We also had little sugar ants on our counter with the coffee pot and had a lot of rolly Polly bugs that appeared daily. You could also hear the room above you if they are moving chairs around a lot. But overall would recommend if you want a nice ocean front stay for a good price.
