Room had all the comforts, spacious too. Bathroom was clean with all the amenities (except spa robe- but I don't expect that at this price point). Room to unpack and nice touch- a suitcase spot. My room had a view of a local landmark. TV will stream from your own streaming accounts, which makes sense these days. One block from the Cathedral of Learning at University of Pittsburgh- don't miss it!

Breakfast at the cafe was a reheated breakfast sandwich. Rather expensive for what it was. But the staff were very nice and friendly. The cafe is inviting too. I don't like having to make an account at Bonvoy Marriot in order to get wifi. I really don't need more ads and emails coming at me.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Gentlemen at the front desk were great!. Jermaine checked us out and had me laughing at 630am- which is hard to do, especially when there is no coffee in my system yet :). I do not remember the name of the man who checked us in, but he was equally as helpful and funny! The workers at the bar were wonderful, too! Nicholas and the other two younger bartenders ensured that we were well taken care of the two nights we came down for drinks. We were able to laugh and have a good time sitting there, which we really enjoyed. The two ladies who made my coffee in the morning were equally as pleasant and extremely helpful. I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's name from our stay, but they were all absolutely amazing!

Paying to park.

The room was spacious, with enough room to work at the desk and to walk around. For visiting CMU and Pitt, as well as other attractions in Oakland, the location was excellent. The staff were uniformly helpful and pleasant.

A rowing maching in the fitness room would have been nice, along with an espresso machine instead of the drip coffee magine in the room (I'm from Melbourne, world capital of coffee snobs).

The location was perfect for visiting the Pittsburgh Arboretum and Carnegie Museums. The flat bread at Marriott Bistro was yummy but an easy walk to the area restaurants. I thought the bed was hard but the bed linens were nice. An employee, Larry stopped and took a moment to ask how our stay was and what was next on our agenda. A very nice young man.

Being picky, not enough towel racks or towels in the bathroom.

Very friendly staff! Location was amazing. In/out parking was exactly what we needed, I knew that would be a premium in Pittsburgh. Room was adequate, a standard hotel room.

Facility was undergoing renovations. It would have been nice to know that in advance of arrival. It didn't impact my trip, but there was considerable noise from the construction beginning at 8:00 AM. Also, housekeeping only visits every 3 days. Would have been nice if someone came to empty trash cans which were overflowing by the end of the stay. I requested a new towel and extra blanket from the front desk, it never arrived.

Location in the city.

Parking was in a different structure and quite expensive, $40 for the night. I reserved a corner room showing windows on two sides of the room. I got a room at the end of the hallway, but only one window. 10% more room charge for corner room didn't make sense for windows, but I was told that the room is more spacious, being at a corner. It didn't seems to me more spacious compared to other hotel rooms.

Beautiful Xmas tree in the lobby and friendly staff. Very nice room with decent shower and TV just about small enough to fit on the walk! Great stay. The hotel is in the university district which is really nice with lovely architecture. VERY near the hotel is the Cathedral of Learning (Univ Pittsburgh). It's the skyscraper looking place. In the UK some jobs worth would stop you at the door. Here you get a friendly welcome from security and invitation to look around. You will be amazed! Take a ride to the 30 whatever floor for the view. An unexpected bonus on my itinerary. I arrived from the airport and used the public bus (28X). If you are like me then you will be interested to know it goes near 10 min walk) the hotel. It goes down Forbes and you get off Forbes Bouquet or the one after. There are busses to Downtown going down 5th (very close) or Forbes. Getting public transport info in the IS is not always simple!

Lack of a free coffee in the lobby. There was a machine in the room but I'm on holiday. I'm lazy.

Room was very comfortable for two friends. Two queen beds. Enough room to unpack, not be on top of one another. Wyndham still provides amenties such as a BATH MAT in the bathroom- great! and soap and decent towels. Climate controls worked well (I always hope for a window that opens, but not a usual feature of any modern hotel).

Personal preference: foam mattresses (even with a mattress pad, which these beds had) make sleep too warm for many of us. Only recourse is to run AC all night. Our one meal in the hotel was pretty mediocre, except for the pierogi appetizers, which were great. Wine and cocktails not good, either, sadly.

Perfect location for visit to Univ of Pittsburgh. The campus is right across the street and easy to walk around. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and we also walked to the Phipps Botanical Gardens. Downtown was an easy 10 minute drive. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

Walls are thin/ you can hear neighbors running the shower, flushing the toilet and the heaters are loud when they cycle on.

The hotel was recently renovated and turned into a Marriott. It was quiet and everything went smoothly. The location is great as it is close to Univ of Pitt and CMU and easy to hop onto a bus. If you are looking for a clean, quiet and easy hotel experience this typical Marriott is it.

Not really a complaint, but we wish there were trash cans in the elevator area of each floor.
