Close to the stadium and to where my friends were staying, so Uber rides were quick and reasonable. Some restaurants close by, Starbucks was KEY! Room was small but perfect for 1 guest. Facilities were modern and operating fine. Had a problem with one of the blinds, but one of the TRYP Team members came right up and got it working in a few minutes! Bed was super comfortable.

Didn't like the fact it was $25 a day PLUS $10 a day to Valet the car. I will rethink this next time if I stay here. I never took the car out the 2 days I was there. I guess I basically paid for city parking! No small fridge, but wasn't a huge negative.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. The room was spacious, and spotless, with all the amenities I could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast, in particular, was great. The location was another huge plus, as it was conveniently close to the beach. I forgot my pillow (that my mom gave me) I called, and they saved it so my friend could go there to pick it up. Now I have my pillow. Thank you, guys,

like the rooftop bar but didn’t to this time. like the family room and bathroom with a privacy door.

the breakfast restaurant - Americano coffee was not good. small muffin at $5 was way overpriced. couldn’t get avocado toast. lunch menu was also very limited. wish they open the bar are a with full dinner menu as lunch time. the windows have light blocking shades but they are placed halfway down in tall windows and couldn’t be brought down to block our lights for sleeping

The atmosphere and decorations were very neat; directly across from the entrance of the hotel there is a large wall mural to admire. The staff were very friendly, our room was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the television, amenities in room and bathroom, as well as the television.

There was not much to dislike. The food area in the building did not have the gluten-free bun that was written on the board, which was disappointing; but the food and drink I ended up ordering was delicious nonetheless.

Quiet room, good temperature control and insulation. The toilet doesn't offer a lot of privacy -- there's just a sliding door separating it from the shower and there is no door to the shower / toilet area. We had the micro-queen room. The bed was on the soft side and there wasn't a lot of room on either side of it (and only one nighttable). The neighborhood is very fun and it was easy to check in and out and to get street parking on the weekend.

Great location in a vibrant neighborhood. Interesting historic building made the stay fun.

Over Eden, a rooftop space at the hotel, was booked for special events and not able to be enjoyed for most of our stay. Perhaps TRYP’s business model may skew toward more profitable special events such as weddings etc. My room with a queen size bed was so small that one had to crawl on the bed to get access from one side. I’m average sized. The property was a bit sleepy over all.

This is the only hotel in the very hip Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The hotel is also hip and fits in well with the neighborhood. Numerous restaurants and clubs close by.

The only thing I didn't like were the religious pamphlets at the front desk. My room was nice and cozy, but others may find the rooms a bit small.

The location was close to my daughter's house, so it was good for me. The hotel is a refurbished school and had interesting decor.

In the first room they gave me the door to the toilet, which was a sliding barn type door, keep sliding open. The second room the fan in the bathroom ran constantly, with no way to shut it off. The staff was competent, but not especially friendly. No smiles. One of the valet car parkers could figure out how to release the emergency brake on my car and I had to be called from my room to help him.

Liked the repurposed building, design of spaces very appealing. Location in Lawrenceville was great, as I was attending opening of a new business there.

Didn’t like the overbilling of my card at check in, being told it would be reversed after check out. After checking out, didn’t know for a week what I’d actually paid for the room. Would hesitate to book again for this reason, despite liking the hotel and the location being very close to a business venture that I’m involved in.

The rooms were really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom especially with the barn door and the brand new showers with a rain shower head was a real plus. They accommodated us to be on the same floor and were very helpful in general. The fact that it used to be a technical school showed in the details of the rooms but in a cool way (like the blackboard art).

Making the valet mandatory was not appreciated. First of all, the parking lot is so small that you can easily just get your car yourself, which I did because it was pointless to make the valet get it when it was 10 steps away. It was not worth $25 per night.
