I booked a SEA....VIEW with Booking.com and messaged several times to make sure our ONE romantic night with what we picked and paid for. We were unpleasantly surprised that we did NOT have a Seaview room booked with Booking.com. I've used booking.com many many times and had some little issues here and there, but this one was a big one. Luckily the hotel was good to us and we were happy with us today but definitely overpriced for a sea view that wasn't a Sea-view!!

Having beach chairs and the private beach was amazing. usually on Block we are like homeless people dragging all our stuff around with us. The beach attendant was amazing bringing us ice water, drinks, setting up umbrellas. it was so comfortable and easy and relaxing. And restaurant is right there, all the stores, but still quiet and private and calm. The best of Block

FYI the "gothic" building rooms (more budget friendly) are very small, but the setting is pretty and there's a nice outdoor seating area.

I loved the acài granola oatmeal and berry bowl breakfast; but my husband, looking for a traditional eggs and toast on a plate was not happy with the 'bowls'. We both loved the beach and being right there and in the old harbor. Unique for BI. It was somewhat unexpected that the hotel was so nice on the beach side. We enjoying relaxing on the loungers and walking the beach. We liked the outdoor bar and grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches. Our room and bathroom were quite comfortable with a big sunny beach view. Staff were friendly and nice. One young woman came out and brought my suitcase up the stairs. I was grateful because I have a bad back. We love small older hotels with charm and this fit the bill there for us.

Room 303 only had one working lock on adjoining rooms I evidently opened door to other room. Glad no one was in there yet... To paper holder was falling off wall , there wasn't a phone to contact front desk wich I thought was weird and my wife didn't like the shampoo ( not a big deal we just forgot to pack ours).... For what I paid I wouldn't except the poor maintenance issues... But the employees where fantastic and I did like the location.

My husband and kids come a few times a season and stay in block island. THIS WAS HANDS DOWN THE BEST. I was in awe with how perfect the room was for us. We rented a car to get around the entire island, but our favorite part was how close it was to everything. We ended up walking most of the time to and from the house. Which was so perfect. The staff, comfort and location was the reason this stay above and beyond met our expectations.

Top floor and ocean views; daily complimentary coffee/tea bar (8am - 11am); cute hotel boutique in lobby; in house & beachside dining morning to night. Beachfront and lovely pool. Morning sunrise views & evening sunsets a bonus. Cheerful, helpful staff. Beachy decor throughout hotel.

No option to open windows for ocean breeze, one window had a screen but broken. If safety is a concern then window guards should be added. No seating area in room other than bed, a chair in room would be ideal. Dim lighting.

I really liked that the Block Island Beach House is a beach front property, it overlooks the ocean. The room we stood in had a partial ocean view, and from our window we were able to see the boats and ferries when they were leaving and coming to the island! The property was very clean, had a gift shop, a restaurant and bar, food and drinks at the restaurant and bar were all very good!

I didn’t like that the room was so small. It was a really nice, clean room, but it was smaller than what I’m used to.

It’s right on the water, with a large enclosed deck & open air porch for dining with great views of the ocean & cliffs & direct access to the beach. It has a welcoming beach vibe & is very tastefully decorated with warm beige & cream colors. The staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. Dinner was excellent. Loved our 3 night stay! We will be back!

Can’t beat the location. Lobby area is beachy and inviting. Staff is kind and helpful. King suite is roomy, bed was comfy. Bar and restaurant was delicious and convenient. Walking out your room straight to the beach is undefeated!

The king suite faces the road and can be a bit noisy, and the place could use a few coats of paint.

Location was phenomenal. We walked and bikes everywhere and did not take a single taxi.the space to sit and lounge in the front and back of the hotel was great. There was always room for the 5 of us.

The noise in the morning! Our first morning, a family across the hall was continuously allowing their door to slam shut and talking freely throughout the hallway before 8am. That was the worst part of the trip. There was also never enough space at the beach for us to get lounge chairs or to even set up. We walked about a mile down for room. A particular bartender could have been much friendlier. Smiling is a bonus. The pricing is leaps and bounds more expensive than any other stay in the island we’ve done and have been coming for over 15 years.
