The Inn is a lovely spot. It's well-located to drive to all the amazing natural landmarks (Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Custer State Park, Devil's Tower) and dinner in Rapid City (about a 15 minute drive), but it's the opposite of touristy - we felt like we had our own little country retreat. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and there are lots of outdoor seating areas as well as a "common room" where there is a large fridge for picnic supplies and lots of free snacks.

We would have liked some lighter, healthier breakfast fare and better coffee.

It was spotlessly clean and its countryside location made it a restful haven. To be surrounded by fields and in quiet surroundings was perfect. My room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were excellent and extra bonus marks for providing a rubber bath mat to stand on when showering. You do not see that little touch too often. The breakfast bar which doubled as a restaurant and bar during the day and into the evening provided a perfect place to eat or relax after a day out. Adam and Andrea were perfect hosts, too. They were friendly and relaxed and happy to help with anything. I can not fault this establishment. My five nights with them were all outstanding value for money.

We had the larger two bed suite with a dog. Although the B&B is older, the details they offer are like a 4 star hotel. The furnishings/bed are comfortable and they offered extras. They had microwave, mini fridge, coffee/tea single serve options, a few snacks, and extra extra towels. Also the B&B is next door to a restaurant they operate so it was nice to just walk over for dinner and breakfast. As we requested a dog friendly room, I was pleasantly surprised at condition of carpet and room. No pet odor in room while not be over powered by air freshener, a tough mix to achieve. Also, it was so nice to have to walk through a long hall way and parking lot to get to a pet friendly place for our dog to walk around (on leash). For those that mention needing an update, yes it's not the most modern decor however the amenities/ furniture/ owner response etc are better than at some more "higher" end places I have stayed. They send a very detailed email prior to the stay. And whenever I had a follow up inquiry, they were quick to respond. For example I booked with breakfast however email stated no breakfast. I just emailed and they confirmed it included breakfast. The breakfast consisted of a sausage, bacon egg sandwich (delish). I don't know if I could have ordered off the menu since I specifically requested something "to go".

Only concern was a barking dog on lower unit whenever we would come in an out. As for noise in the upper unit next to us, we were there off peak season so I can't speak to that.

Our room was spacious with a comfortable couch and beds. We appreciated having a mini-fridge and microwave as well as some in -room snacks. The included made-to-order breakfast was delicious on each of our 3 mornings there. Our hosts were helpful and interesting to chat with at breakfast and took care of us well. My daughter and I were so glad we chose this bed and breakfast over a hotel and really liked being a little ways out of town. Our room was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warmer!

The property is in a great location. Sound proof. Ultra clean. The owners Andrea and Adam will provide you with the best customer service. And … oh my gosh … their breakfast! … you pick what you want and they have a chef cloning it for you. We were planning to spend another night on the way back from Yellowstone but last minute we decided to stay another day in the Park. Great great place. On top is located within a few miles from Mt. Rushmore and many other attractions! Thanks for the great service A.&Adam!

We liked everything. There’s nothing not to like.

Sweet Grass Inn exceeded my expectations. Regarding the bathroom! The jacuzzi tub was totally a surprise! Breakfast was very good and Cheryl (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was very accommodating even to the point of helping my grand-daughtets choose activity books and engaging them in conversation.

It was a pleasure to be there, so much so that we went back a 2nd day. There was nothing to dislike.

The breakfast was great; we could choose from a restaurant menu. The staff was thoughtful and accommodating. The common room had lots of goodies and was open at all hours. The room was large and comfortable. A great value; i would go there again. The Shipwreck restaurant on the property had a really nice dinner and music entertainment.

Stayed 4 nights to explore Black Hills and Badlands. Was great being just outside Rapid City, but with a restaurant and bar on site an added extra, I didn't realize this when I booked. Adam and Andrea are great hosts, very helpful and would 100% recommend 👌 Nightly live music playing as well.

This was a lovely bed and breakfast just off highway 16. I loved that all the rooms had there own theme. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in and everything one need is provided for you. The breakfast is served at the Shipwreck restaurant next door and was amazing. Eric, Nancy and the team are all really welcoming and friendly.

The owners were very hospitable, kind and accommodating. Food was good... breakfast awesome.

It was a bit off the beaten path but if you like that then this is your place. It was easy to stay on course to travel to our next location.
