The room was pretty clean and somewhat comfortable. There was a microwave & fridge. There was maid service every day to tidy up and leave clean towels & wash cloths and empty the trash. We did get a small tub of ice free in the office daily.
There was no table in the room. Only 1 comfy chair. No dresser or chest of drawers. There was no freezer in the fridge to keep our cold packs frozen. The beds were firm, but because of a back issue, I require a soft mattress. SO that was not very comfortable. But, it was fine for my husband who likes a firm mattress. My biggest complaint was though the rooms are non-smoking, we had neighbors who smoked outside our room and when the a/c or heater ran, it pulled the smoke into our room. SO, I was congested most of the time as I am allergic to cigarette smoke.

Location is great; proximity to trolley stop, trails, and the strip was awesome! We also saw bears every night. Both terrifying and exciting. They aren’t looking for a fight, just a snack. The jetted tub was a wonderful way to end a day of walking. Much needed relaxing touch. The room stayed warm even when the unit was off; I can see where some may be too warm but it got cold fast during our stay and coming in to a warm room was welcome. Cozy but spacious. Mini fridge and microwave. Lots of plugs, usb and standard. Tv had easy access to console hookup if you were to bring video games. Access to office from the top floor; definitely came in handy when a curious bear came upstairs ha! Staff is very friendly! Our room has a pretty view of part of the river. We absolutely loved that.
Parking lot is tight, spots are awkward angle, had to really be careful backing out of half of the spaces. Door had poor seal, light and draft easily came through the frame. Caused the door to not close tightly either, but would latch and lock just fine. Getting out of the jetted tub was awkward, could really use a rail or some high step because I was definitely nervous about slipping, the step down is quite far. Mini fridge doesn’t seem cool enough.

now if you are looking for a 5 star fancy hotel this isn’t the one for you. but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay or if you are on a budget then this is the place! i will say that the outside does look a little run down but the rooms are very nice! it’s within a 5 minute walk to downtown gatlinburg which is also a plus! will definitely be back!
my only complaint is the parking, especially if you are on the far half of the hotel. but other than that i really enjoyed my stay !

The room was very clean!! The beds were comfortable and very restful. First time we took our fur baby with us and he enjoyed himself. For a budget motel this was a great experience. I loved how close we were to a nice place to walk my dog. We went on the park path next to the river each morning and we loved it. That early there was almost nobody but dog walkers using the trail. When we were walking back we could smell all the breakfast being cooked in town and we did get hungry. My plan was to give my mini chiweenie a good walk in the morning so he would rest while we left him in the room. This worked great and he slept hard. We went to a convention at the Gatlinburg Civic Center and the motel was in the perfect spot. We parked our truck and walked everywhere. We couldn't of gotten a better spot to walk around town. We also had 2 different bears that visited all day. They were no problem and my dog was fascinated with them. We really enjoyed our stay at Motel 6. I had the hesitation because it is a cheaper place. The air conditioner worked great, the beds were soft and the bathroom was great. We got everything we needed and having our dog with us was great! Don't pass up this place. I just needed a clean room for a few days and not to pay like I'm buying a place. We will be coming back to this Motel and I've told our friends who are dog owners how great this place is!!
I had to ask for towels. Got the towels with no problem. That was really the only "bad" thing and it was so minor. The spot for our dog to potty was small, but it got the job done. My pup is just use to our 5 acres and no leash. He realized he was going to go in that area so all was good. He is use to marking our tires and he still did that, but he also tagged the truck next to ours. Since he can't reach the wheel and the man who owed the truck was fine with his marking it was all good. The bear did get between us and the motel, but he never bothered us and we just went around him.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating! I had one issue that I had to go to them with, and they handled it so kindly without hesitation and didn't make me feel like I was a burden in anyway about it. Thats definitely not normal with motel staff. Rest assured you can feel appreciated and welcome here. They do daily housekeeping, which is such a great bonus. I never had to go without a clean towel, and everything I had in the room was put back exactly how I had it neatly after they changed the sheets or wiped everything down. We got to encounter a bear as well, he wasn't even phased nor even tried to come near us. He just wanted in the dumpster he had his eye on.
Could definitely use a guest laundry room, wish the pool was open but I understand because of the weather. Serve breakfast and this would be the perfect bonus to the guests.

It was comfortable and convenient right next to a trolley stop so I didn't have to walk far to get on a trolley and the coffee was pretty good
We was given a standard room witch is what I payed for but they gave us one that had a Jacuzzi that didn't work I understand that I payed for just a standard room but I just felt like I was teased a little bit when I walked in my room and seen the Jacuzzi

It is within walking distance to the shopping and entertainment area but is very quiet. It is also close to the trail into the national park. It was inexpensive and allowed dogs with no extra charge, so I was not expecting it to be this nice. The wifi was free.
The parking lot was very small and would have been difficult to negotiate if it was full. The exterior looks a little run down, but the interior is very nice.

Remodeled, pet friendly with no extra fees, friendly staff, and trolly stop directly in front of motel
The pool was shaded and didn’t reflect the pics online, ice machine is located behind the desk in the office and could only have a ziplock sized bag per day, dilapidated apartments, located across the street, making the view distasteful

We've stayed here once or twice a year for about 4 years. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and nice for the price. The location is fantastic, walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants, while still overlooking the river from the balcony.
Nothing is bad about this place. It isn't top of the line, brand new and sparkling, but it is a nice, safe and budget friendly place. If you're looking for ultra luxury, this isn't for you, but if you want nice, clean, comfy, and affordable, this is the spot.

It sits right up against the national park, so it’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists, yet still close enough to be able to walk to everything. On top of the fact that I have been coming to Gatlinburg for YEARS, and this was the first ever time seeing a bear….right outside my room!!! Best trip to Tennessee I have had thus far!
I wish there were more pillows on the king size bed
