The room itself was very clean and looks to have been renovated recently. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Shower was spacious. I loved the shower head. As a matter of fact I want that whole shower ensemble, doors and all, at my house. The room itself was spacious and pretty. The fridge, microwave, and coffee pot were just stacked and sitting on the floor which was odd. But it doesn’t really matter I don’t suppose. I really like that there was an overhead light along with lights by the bed, a lamp on the table/drawers, and also a floor lamp. I can’t stand a dark room when I’m not sleeping. So many hotels have poor lighting in their rooms. I booked for 2 nights but only made it for the second night because of an emergency at home that I had to attend to that delayed my departure. When I saw the room I was even more disappointed to have missed the first night. I also liked the door locking system. I am glad my room wasn’t on the ground floor. It was conveniently located. I walked to dinner.
Honestly, I was concerned when I saw the outside and how run down it looked. The pool was not filled for use and had dark ugly water in it. I was shocked at the difference between the inside of the room and outside of the facility. I’m assuming they’ll get to the outside later. But the room I had overlooked the nasty pool and the run down building. But the inside was so nicely renovated that I’m ok with the outside since I don’t need a pool, anyway. And most important to me is the room is clean and I feel safe. I didn’t feel like it wasn’t safe to be there. And the room was spotless.

Location was right at the end of town. Very quiet and the river was right outside our room

Very easy access to the gatlinburg strip, but far enough away that the atmosphere is quiet. Hot shower water and very cold AC. Mini fridge/microwave for leftovers, clean room with 4 towels/wash clothes. Easy check-in with kind staff, who often checked to make sure we had everything we needed!
I wish the comforter of the bedding was a little thicker/heavier. The pool was not accessible, but we were pretty busy anyways!

The beds were so comfortable. Each room had its own little gadgets one room had a shotgun toilet paper holder. The GM and the housekeeper were both extremely awesome, respectful and helpful. We truly enjoyed talking to both. Even though we are local we kept adding another night I think we just enjoyed the peace and the quietness.
I do not believe there is not one thing we would complain about. Yes its a older hotel but they are doing great renovations to each room. Each room is unique in its own little way. We stayed in 3 different rooms and that's only because we kept adding more nights. All 3 rooms were great. The microwave & mini fridge matched

Perfect for us! Rooms separated with doors to close off each for privacy! Like having 3 bedroom home! Saw a bear and took pictures of him when entering the driveway going to lodge! First black bear I’ve seen coming to Tennessee was sooo excited to see with my kids!! Lots of room and a great place to stay!!
Middle room had no air conditioning which had my kids leave door open to get cool air in our room! Wasn’t a big deal

It was so quiet . We never heard anyone else in any rooms around us. Also easy to check in and out. Location was within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in downtown Gatlinburgh.
The bath tub had peeling paint in the bottom part of the tub. The bed was bowed in the middle and wasn’t the comfiest thing to sleep on . It also squeaked every time you move .

The room decor was perfect for the Smoky Mountains! The motel was within walking distance of EVERYTHING you could want to get to in Gatlinburg. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. We parked 10 feet from our room, that was nice! The room was clean. I would stay here again!
I read many reviews. They were either 1/5 or 5/5. I thought most of the 1's were pretty nit-picky. The motel changed management a month ago. They are making improvements. Be patient. The only thing I can really think of is that the "comforter" was the thickness of a second sheet. Especially in the winter/early spring, the bedding needs to be warmer. I"d definitely stay here again!

we expected a room with two queen beds. We ended up with a 2br with lots of space. My husband and I had our own space while my 8 yo and 7yo boys had their own we all liked not being on top of each other. the staff are very friendly they are like anyone you meet you have to talk and get to know these people. I’m not sure why people are saying the staff are bad unless they were being rude to the staff. If we needed something they were right on it. We actually sat down and talked to some of the staff and they have some really good stories and advice on where to go. I understand that this place might have been a ran down mess at some point but the NEW OWNERS are trying. The rooms are clean the showers are clean and mold/mildew free the bedding looks and feels new. I honestly don’t have any complaints. Don’t listen to any of the negative reviews take your chances you wont regret it.

The property was quiet and walking distance from everything. The room was clean and very spacious.
The bathroom could use some work, the ceiling above the shower looked like it’s only days away from busting. The patio needs new wood. Other than these couple things me and my husband loved it and would definitely be back to stay the next time we plan a trip to Gatlinburg.

I loved the way it was set up and looked on inside. I also liked that there was a smoking section right outside the door. I also was very pleased with the virtual check in. And I felt very secure with my family with the code door entry.
I couldn't be sure if it was the hotel or not just by driving by so maybe a new billboard sign would be better. And the room tables weren't cleaned one of them literally had dried Kool aid all over it and the floor.
