- Excellent value for the money - Walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg - nice clean (warm) private pool (hours 9am to 9pm) with a great view - great view from your clean nice sized room - note checkin is at the Econo lodge which is located at the near the bottom of the property (can’t miss is if you know that’s where checkin is - I however didn’t know and had to turn around and go back down the road) - decent free breakfast with your minimal basics but it was something. (Grab a couple of the free breakfast sandwiches and you can warm them up in your microwave) (also has a basic small fridge) - two buildings - we were in building 2 room 223

Our room was in the 200 level so while walking to the room there was a musty basement smell but it wasn’t a real big deal and the room was fine and clean

This was the BEST location - just far enough off of “the strip” to feel like an escape to nature, but walking distance to dinner every night. The room was large and comfortable, and the balcony added a much appreciated indoor-outdoor experience. It’s also one street away from the entrance road into National Park (and a beautiful walking trail along the river), so no battling traffic when going to/coming from the trails.

I wish I’d realized I needed to check in at a different hotel - only a minor inconvenience though. There were also no pool towels on the second day, but that didn’t prevent me from a refreshing swim!

The room was very nice, especially for the price. The pool was also, great! The best part of our stay was the staff at Chalet Inn. Nikki, was extremely helpful, going out of her way to help us find places that’s aligned with our interest. Super cool and generous! We will be coming back, but she has go have the day off to hangout with us!

The rooms were up a pretty steep hill and the office was down so you had to walk up and down for everything. We were warned about bears being at the property that day, so that made it a little uncomfortable walking alone. The breakfast selection was very limited.

This room was awesome! At check-in, we were told that every room is unique, and ours definitely did not disappoint. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a peaceful, quiet getaway. The location is ideal, just a short walking distance from Downtown Gatlinburg. We loved being able to walk to breakfast each morning and take in the views along the way. We were so comfortable and impressed with the accessibility and charm of the place that we actually extended our stay. When we return to Gatlinburg, we’ll definitely be staying here again! Also, the pool was great!

We weren’t aware that the breakfast offered at the Econo Lodge check-in office was also available to Chalet Inn guests. Every morning, we went out and bought breakfast, until the last day, when we were checking out and I happened to see it mentioned in my bookings. When you view the property listing, it doesn’t clearly say “breakfast included,” so we had no idea it was part of our stay. On our last morning, we were told we could enjoy the breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious! There was so much to choose from, we just wish we had known earlier. Also, the bed was a bit hard.

Amazing staff... The cleaning lady was very nice went over and above to keep the room clean with fresh towels and sheets, if we wanted them otherwise she didn't bother us when we had the do not disturb sign on the door ...The room was very clean from the get go with an amazing balcony that overlooked the heart of Gatlinburg... Everything is pretty expensive in the area but The Chalet Inn gave us a great deal for our 4 day get away ... This was my wife and I second time staying at The Chalet Inn ... We rate it 5 stars both times and we will be back !!!

What i didn't like was the pool wasnt open yet in April with 80° days

The people were friendly. They responded politely & quickly when I expressed concern. The facility was clean. We had a good view of the mountains. The hotel is in process of renovation.

Construction was being done while we were there so some noise was evident. There was no continental breakfast provided at Chalet Inn as is indicated on the web site. I did receive breakfast at the Econo Lodge BUT was never informed this was available to me. Also there is no staff in the office at Chalet Inn. You must check in at Econo Lodge, down the hill. I experienced problems with my TV Cable Connection. HOWEVER, When I called, they (Econo Lodge) responded Quickly and eventually provided a different room for us still with mountain view - No fireplace. Also when I booked on booking.com, I paid extra to have Hot Tub access. There is no hot tub that I saw.

It was very clean and comfortable bed, lots of room and a beautiful Mountain View. Bedroom/living room combo was huge as well as the Dining area was separate and tons of room with a microwave and mini frig. Large large closet. Huge bathroom was very nice to have. Toilet and shower/tub combo was in separate room so you could have privacy.Its not fancy or luxurious by no means but it is very comfortable,clean and quiet at night. A little bit noisy in the daytime because they are working on building townhomes.

It does need to have ADA rooms with walk in showers . And more ADA Grab-bars to prevent falls

We came in very late/after dark. The area we stayed in had construction vehicles and closed access. Can not check in or out at the actual Chalet, must drive down a seemingly treacherous one lane road to go to a Choice hotel for check-in. Too dark to see anything but the long ramp we had to walk down to get to our room (215). We were very unhappy. HOWEVER, when we got into our room, sat on our balcony, saw the stars & bright lights we felt better. When we woke in the morning & had coffee on our balcony, we were even more pleased with the view, the gardens & the pool & surroundings. Our suggestion - don’t check in after dark!

Location and the person ho working on the office, very friendly professional and courteous

I did bucket and pai a the luxury double room,1 mont before arriving ,but I was located on a generic or regular room,half of the size,and very little balcony and very limited viu,thas sun thing very disappointed,buth ,all the effort the gentleman on charge of the office, make us no feels so bad,and we was available to have a grate time anyway... I will estay on the chalet again ,but thes time I will communicate with the person on the office before I'm starting my trip... We love the Chalet!! Stayed there 4 or 5 times now. The facility is exceptional in itself and the location is a plus. It's always very clean and quit. The peace and quit are worth every dollar spent to stay there. I just hope their prices don't start going up with the construction that is going on behind them. The staff is so friendly and caring. We had a little problem with a remodel going on in the room next to us but all it took was a call to the front desk and that was stopped. The pool and surrounding area is exceptionally well kept.

The room next to ours being remodeled on a Sunday morning. But the staff members put a stop to that as soon as we called them.
