I really liked the location. It is located away from the main thoroughfare but it is still close enough to allow for walking to most of the attractions of Gatlinburg. There was no worry about pulling out into traffic or watching for pedestrians when entering or exiting the parking lot because there was very little traffic through the area.

the bed was comfortable and the facility was very clean. the staff was very helpful and courteous. the view from the balcony was great, the river was clean where you could see the fish. Within walking distance to uptown close to restaurants. the kitchen and breakfast area were clean and orderly.

there were no lounge chairs in the room, the door to the room looked like it had been pried open at some point.

Friendly staff. Location is good. Clean , it’s just an older building.

Needs updated but it’s still a good place to stay.

Need more space

I loved everything about this property. We have never stayed here before and didn’t know about this place even though we’ve been coming to Gatlinburg for over 25 years. I’m glad that we happened upon it because we will definitely be staying here again. I loved the location because it was off the beaten path. It was quiet and very peaceful. Our room was extremely clean…it had just been mopped before we came in because the floor was still wet. It was a large room with a comfortable bed, a large chair and ottoman, a desk and rolling chair and a refrigerator and microwave. We also had a balcony with two chairs and a table that overlooked the river. The bathroom was clean and had a lit mirror and a spacious shower. For the price it was well worth it!

My family and I stayed in Econo Lodge for 5 nights. The staff is very friendly, the location and parking are excellent (especially having in mind that the parking in town is very expensive). The beds were very comfortable and the room very clean. We would recommend it to other families with children because it is in a quiet location, and the downtown is reachable within 5 min walk. Hikers will also like it because it is very close to the Great Smoky Mountains NP.

Breakfast could be improved. The location was within easy walking distance of downtown.

The bathroom was very small and the water temp was lukewarm.

I loved that it was on the river, the balcony was fantastic. Walking distance to everything was great, driving around town is a nightmare so it was nice to not have to drive anywhere. It was a pretty quiet location as well. The room was pretty big and had a good separation from the front door to the sleeping area. Proximity to the national park was exceptional.

The bear that was walking towards me when I stepped outside my room was a bit alarming. However, I know that is something that cannot be helped. If you are on the ground level, make sure to peek outside your door before you fully step outside.

We loved the location!! Staff was great! Very nice and helpful!! We had the “local” bear search through the cooler(only had water and Gatorade in it)we had in the back of our truck. No damage! Ron at the front desk found the security video for us! It was pretty cool!! Will definitely stay here again even though the hotel is a little outdated. The positives outweigh the negatives!!! The creek is an added bonus. So soothing! And the geese are BERY friendly!😁

A little pricey, but we really didn’t want to stay on Parkway.

The staff was very nice here. We came before checkin time without any issues. We also asked to leave our car the day of checkout while we enjoyed the town and was able to do so. The man running the front desk counter was very nice and helpful. The location is great, too. Just off the main drag so you can walk anywhere, but it's quiet for sleeping.

Wasn't much bad. Wish the room was a little warmer, but that would be my only complaint. And it was winter, so cold is expected.
